Poll shows Biden viewed as too old to ‘effectively serve’ another term

And there's that diversion to Trump (in a biden thread) that indicates nothing more can be said to defend biden.

Trump is the ultimate cure to any Biden poll problems. Biden's best poll performance will come against Trump. It's not even a matter of distraction or what-about-ism, just good old fashion choice theory. Trump will be Biden's greatest asset in the one place "polling" matters -- in the voting booth.

That dream may be a sweet dream, but you'll have to wake up after the election is over and face reality.

I did that once 7 years ago. If we're fool enough to elect that menace again, then perhaps we don't deserve democracy.

If democracy means robbing and looting stores as long as it's for $950 or less, committing arson, jailing political opponents, raiding homes of people who oppose sexualization of children, and silencing those who disagree with government propaganda, I'd prefer to go back to a Republic.
TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT!!!

Make some predictions on how awful she’d be as President, let’s see how close you can get?
Why would I need to predict anything? We've seen her in action as the VP. Would she suddenly do a 180 and be a good president?

Are you saying that if the people practice democracy by voting for the president they want, you're willing to throw away democracy if the next election doesn't go the way you want?

Knock off putting words in my mouth. I said no such thing.

"wake[ing] up after the election is over and face[ing] reality" 7 years ago was dealing with a newly elected president that I most definitely did not want and who I felt then was an unqualified menace. (Boy did I underestimate his menace.)

As for the other thing...

If we as a nation elect an authoritarian narcissist like Trump, a man who not only abused his office, but has made it *clear* that he plans to use every power we would possess and claim powers he does not to enforce his will, punish his enemies, and empower other authoritarians to have government power, then our democratic government will have failed and, perhaps, if we are too blind to see it coming then we are undeserving of the democracy we threw away.

Are you seriously going to whine about authoritarianism considering what went on in the last 2-3 years?

We just had a Federal Appellate Court rule that the Whitehouse repeatedly violated the First Amendment by forcing social media and IT firms to censor content critical of the administration, to deplatform and ban individuals and organizations that made Biden's party angry, including satirical content.

We haven't seen anything like that since President Wilson threw people into jail for objecting to the war

Biden wants to amend Title IX to force colleges, including Christian ones, to let men into women's bathrooms, changing rooms, etc.

And Biden implemented Federal vaccine mandates that led to the firings of thousands of workers before state courts started pushing back

The president supported unnecessary and damaging school closures, and even when the public because outraged at the length of the closures, he did nothing to force the Teacher's Unions to get back to work.

So aside from government censorship efforts, social engineering, unnecessary school closures and vaccine mandates, Biden is just a swell guy.

(I am not defending Trump here, just pointing out how galatically hypocritical people become when speaking about the last administration vs. what is going on now)

Perhaps appealing to recent history is not your best bet.
Then I guess the great January 6th thing didn't happen either. Too recent.

How is asking a question putting words in your mouth?

Are you saying you'd rather continue to have a regime in power that does all those things you just mentioned while denying they're doing it than a man who has proven himself over an entire 4 year period who actually says what he means and does what he says he will do?

It's not "whining" and I saw a lot of authoritarianism on display from 3 years ago to 2 years-8 months ago as Trump and his co-conspirators were trying to steal, rather than win an election.
We just had a Federal Appellate Court rule that the Whitehouse repeatedly violated the First Amendment by forcing social media and IT firms to censor content critical of the administration, to deplatform and ban individuals and organizations that made Biden's party angry, including satirical content.
It's "White House" with a space and a capital letter.

That 5th circuit ruling is nuts and without merit, but the 5th circuit is lawless. (There is also a whole thread about this and I posted to it last night, but no ones rights were violated when the FDA tweeted about not self-medicating with horse doses.)

I will agree that Wilson was one of our worst presidents.
Biden wants to amend Title IX to force colleges, including Christian ones, to let men into women's bathrooms, changing rooms, etc.
If these are truly independent colleges, they would not be subject to Title IX anti-discrimination rules, but almost none of them will give up the federal aid. This is at most a proposal and frankly I have no reason to trust that it is true.
And Biden implemented Federal vaccine mandates that led to the firings of thousands of workers before state courts started pushing back
Did you know federal employees can't take cocaine either? It's a job requirement to be protected no different than any other.
The president supported unnecessary and damaging school closures, and even when the public because outraged at the length of the closures, he did nothing to force the Teacher's Unions to get back to work.
Now you're just blaming him for something states did and complaining he didn't use powers (of an authoritarian variety) to force people to do something *you* want them to do. (Go back to in person school).
So aside from government censorship efforts, social engineering, unnecessary school closures and vaccine mandates, Biden is just a swell guy.
Well aside from that, (eyeroll), sure he does seem so.
(I am not defending Trump here, just pointing out how galatically hypocritical people become when speaking about the last administration vs. what is going on now)
Sure you are defending Trump, or at least the RW authoritarian movement Trump is propagating.

There was an election in 2020, so yes, he did try to win. What do you think all his campaign rallies were meant for prior to that election, as opposed to just sitting in his basement and allowing the MSM to do his bidding?

Did you miss the part where the panel threw out most of the items that the district judge allowed?
There’s only one item left and it’ll bite the dust in the en banc decision should the Administration seek it rather than waiving their right to the full court decision and go straight to SCOTUS.
