Did you miss the part where the panel threw out most of the items that the district judge allowed?
There’s only one item left and it’ll bite the dust in the en banc decision should the Administration seek it rather than waiving their right to the full court decision and go straight to SCOTUS.

There was another thread with a lead article that implied something new had happened, but I can't actually read that article (in the NatRev). This CBS article from early July agrees with you and doesn't have anything from the last two months.

How is that relevant to the left freaking out but not the right?

It relates to your assertion that appealing to recent history is not one's best bet.

Here’s a more topical link which deals with the same issues.
The conservative appeals court sided with many of the arguments put forward by the plaintiffs, which included private individuals as well Missouri and Louisiana, but also narrowed the injunction’s scope so that it only applied to the White House, the surgeon general, the CDC and the FBI. Doughty had included other agencies in his July order.”

Thanks. The ABC link also worked for me.

I don't see how but if you wish to bring up the recent examples of poor behavior on the right be my guest.

What poor behavior. It never happened. Too recent, according to you.

and I do not agree with Trump's behavior in that regard at all

as you see from my posts criticizing DeSantis for signing what amounts to a hate-speech law in Florida, I will criticize the GOP as well.

But what Biden and government agencies were doing with social media and tech firms was 1000 times bigger than Trump asking for a tweet to be removed

I can relate to that but it seems we weren't dealt the cards. We were born during a baby bust (I'm a younger Gen-X'er).

In some ways, Gen-X could be a mediating force (we've got far more experience listening to the Boomers than Millenials or Gen Z), but Millenials and Gen Z don't seem interested in listening to us, seemingly unaware of our existence.

To which I say, "whatever..."
I'm Gen-Z, I was born in '04, so I guess I'm in the middle of my generation. I've had a lot of interest in listening to the experiences of Gen-Xers and Baby Boomers. I've learned a lot from them, even though I don't always agree with them. Gen-Xers are certainly underrepresented, unfortunately. One of my friends is Gen-X, in fact he's the oldest friend I have; I still have to respect his work ethic, and he's incredibly family-oriented, which I have to respect as well. Anyway, I have a lot of really cool cousins who are also Gen-X, so don't feel too bad; some of us Zoomers like being around your generation - to be honest, I've never met another person of my generation who has, so maybe it's just me.

I’m a Boomer, and let me apologize to you for being the generation that screwed your world up so much, but we had to “cut taxes” (repeatedly, for some reason) but continued to fund the military like the Cold War never ended.

After the cold war ended, we were reminded on 9/11 that the Soviet Union wasn't the only threat we had to face.

Right, there were fanatics with box cutters too.
So we created DHS and the TSA that needed massive funding because we needed to overreact to things.

No kidding. This was a total over reaction on this. A completely new gigantic department. Particularly the DHS.

I'm an older Gen X and I second the apology.
Military funding was reduced in the 90's....but 9/11 gave the hawks a whole new excuse to ramp up funding and scare the American poeple into disasterous and wasteful invasions (Iraq).

We failed to learn from Viet Nam....

No such incident has been allowed to happen again, although I'm sure some wouldn't mind if it did so they could increase government spending some more, and maybe even throw billions more dollars into other countries to keep the killing going. Of course, biden has shown that no such attack needs to happen for him to blow billions of dollars on another country. He simply needs things to distract from.

Ukraine won't teach anyone anything either.
