It would be easy to show me wrong. All you need to do is to find a valid example contrary to my claim.
Emphasis on "valid" ... right?

After all, you claim you like examples, but then when you get them, what do you do with them that any end-time scientist wouldn't?

For example ... since you like "valid" examples ... here are examples of God's existence:
  1. 100% Christian belief in IN THE BEGINNING GOD.
  2. Christian edifices, organizations, holidays.
  3. Time divided into BC/AD.
  4. Christian books, bumper stickers, slogans, testimonies.
  5. Christian martyrs.
Good enough or not?

Sorry, but none of those are examples of God's existence. They are only examples of the belief of people in your God. Belief is not proof. Try again.

Those are quite the accusations. People like this do not usually go to the newspaper. I don't know if it would even be legal to request the medical records, medical imaging, or what ever.

You see, the thing is, he doesn't have to prove anything to people like yourself. He was a teacher, was placed on short term leave, then long term expecting not to ever return. Now, he is back teaching. His family was preparing themselves for those last debilitating stages of this killer disease and watching their father, husband, brother, whatever, waste away and eventually die. The doctors had no more hope. His church family was giving support for the inevitable.

Now, he is alive and well. All because he, they, we had faith in the ultimate physician, God.

He is now back in the classroom, teaching. The people in his life, from neighbors, students, school board administrators, fellow teachers, children and their respective families and this man's circle of friends..........all knew of the impending end and now, the miraculous turn in this families life.

I just find it arrogant for someone such as yourself to say, with such pompous certainty, that I am a liar, exaggerator, or some man of dubious integrity or that the story of this man's dealing with his terminal illness is not possible or untrue.

I pity you and your sort. You live this life with no hope of acceptance of anything that cannot be explained by a person in a white coat with beakers and test tubes.

You consider yourself intelligent and full of knowledge yet you are a fool and blind in so many ways..
From my dropping in perspective, you showed what took place with integrity.

What have they done of the "occasion". Spoke against in unbelief or trashed it.

The man recieved grace from on High.

Some have a repellant to obviousness. It is called unbelief. Unbelief does not allow what you presented have any effect. I avoid these people. Replies produce nothing but more unbelief. You're wise to this, I'm reminding. You have purpose in this post! End-time scientists are blind guides.

What was "their faith" placed in? Yes Sir, the Power of God. Up to this point you missed it my friend.

Up to this point it has only been in your brain, thoughts, and thinking, not by an encounter with the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and His Power, where faith can then become.

Look at verse 4 and pray to experience it.

Sorry, empty verses are not evidence of anything. How can I miss something when it does not exist in the first place?

If you want to find evidence for the existence of your God you too will have to try much harder.

It stands to reason that the god of the bible, if he really did exist, could heal amputees with no problem. That's far less matter created then multiplying fish and bread.

So he either does not want to (for whatever reasons), or he does not exist.

Given that He did ...

Mark 14:47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Luke 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

I would say it's because He doesn't want to (for whatever reasons).

What do you think of the idea that He can't?

A being that can create the universe on a whim and a weeks work surely can grow back any limbs he desires.

And that passage doesn't mention the ear actually growing back. The wound could have just been closed by the touch. Or am I reading this wrong?

I believe the term I was addressing is: "healing amputees."

That's because the ear didn't grow back.

Malthus' ear was healed instantly.

How are you certain that the meaning of this quote is the restoration of the ear and not just the simple closing of the wound? Cutting off an ear must bleed profusely and hurt a lot.

I tried finding any info on the original hebrew wording, but I don't know any good sources.

There's a difference between "touching an ear and healing the person that lost it" and "cauterizing a wound."

Sorry, empty verses are not evidence of anything. How can I miss something when it does not exist in the first place?

If you want to find evidence for the existence of your God you too will have to try much harder.

Well lets start with a definition as we all know how important defining a word is on this forum:

Maimed:
verb (used with object)
1.
to deprive of the use of some part of the body by wounding or the like; cripple:
The explosion maimed him for life.
2.
to impair; make essentially defective:
The essay was maimed by deletion of important paragraphs.
noun, Obsolete.
3.
a physical injury, especially a loss of a limb.
4.
an injury or defect; blemish; lack.

Then, we can move to the scripture:

Mathew 15:
29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

I don't know why God is not replacing lost limbs today.... I'll ask Him when I see Him.

We are not talking about just my expectations. Your reasoning needs a tune up.

Not just from me, but from everyone that has ever looked into this concept. As to your second statement many make the worse mistake of talking about the "power of the Bible" and related nonsense.

It would be easy to show me wrong. All you need to do is to find a valid example contrary to my claim. By the way, since we are discussing the Bible here the Bible is not a valid source to rebut this claim.
There have been many such instances. The problem is not with the healing but with the inability to publish in a journal.

And if you never do see him? You need to learn what valid evidence is. A book of very dubious claims is very very poor evidence.

A double-blind, randomized study to assess the validity of applied kinesiology (AK) as a diagnostic tool and as a nonlocal proximity effect.
This is a flawed test.
Among other things the sample is very small and the presuppositions are not valid.

Name another book or text that the world has had around for a thousand years of more, that millions use as a reference, that you will not take as source worthy of historical facts.

I can no longer have a discussion with you on any subject for which I go to the Bible for my basis of truth. For me, the Bible is worthy for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.

For you it is a rock in your path on the road to discrediting the true history. So you ignore it.
