Magnetic Bracelets

This thread reminded me that I have a hematite magnetic cross necklace. I've put it on, if it helps I'll let you know. I have chronic pain, I'll try anything (although it's obviously part of God's plan for me and I accept that).
Edit: Changed my mind, I remember that it's uncomfortable, took it back off already.

I'd love to see this done in a double blind manner, have two bracelets, one with magnets and one without, but both are identical so the wearer doesn't know if they are getting the magnets or not.

That has been tried and turned out to be impossible because people can easily verify if a bracelet is magnetic or not. They just need a nail.

Why don't they just get a bunch of scientifically ignorant test subjects and tell them the placebo bracelets are magnetic, but a special kind of magnetic that doesn't affect common ferrous objects?

Or just get regular people and send them out to a log cabin where everything is wood and they can spend some time out in the peaceful wilderness, swimming in the lake and hiking in the woods...
