What a feeble excuse. Their motive is transparent. They can do the same thing that every other building that is open to the public does when their capacity maxes out per fire code. Close the doors.

I dislike the use of religion and prayer as a publicity stunt to advance a political agenda. I don't like when conservative Christians or liberal Christians do it.

I get the sense that religion in America is mainly a weapon for gaining political territory.

Perhaps somewhere in the background there's the work of attending to people's souls. But I'm less sure of that than I used to be.
