Day 8, Proverbs Chapter 8

Amen sister. I love how God PROMISES that He (and His wisdom) WILL be FOUND by those who SEEK Him.

Proverbs 8:

Wisdom calls out.

"Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man." ~Proverbs 8:1-4

2 She takes her stand on the top of the high hill,
Beside the way, where the paths meet.
3 She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city,
At the entrance of the doors:
4 “To you, O men, I call,
And my voice is to the sons of men.
5 O you simple ones, understand prudence,
And you fools, be of an understanding heart.
6 Listen, for I will speak of excellent things,
And from the opening of my lips will come right things;
7 For my mouth will speak truth;

God is putting forth His wisdom everywhere, and LOUDLY, to anyone who has the ears to hear.

For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD. Prov. 8:35. It's interesting to think that we can "find" wisdom because even when we gain wisdom, we won't see ourselves as wise if we have truly gained that wisdom because we know there is so much more wisdom to achieve (if that makes sense).
I also liked how wisdom was brought about before the world, as described in verses 22-31. Knowing that God had wisdom before making everything and everyone is comforting because it means He knew from the start what He was doing and has had it under control ever since then.

Amen. It's comforting also to know that He "knew" us since before the foundation of the world. He's ALWAYS known us. It's precious that the wisdom that He grants us enables to "see" Him more clearly, so to speak, and to "see" the utter beauty and gloriousness of His wisdom, which is delightful, just like He is.
