He had a stroke... so what? Prejudiced against people that had strokes?
I’m concerned it will affect his ability to do his job. But the people have spoken and he was their choice.

He doesn't seem to have any cognitive impairment. His speaking ability is definitely impaired (he says he sometimes has a difficult time translating his thoughts to speech), but you don't need to be a great orator to be an effective senator - which is good, because Fetterman was never going to be a great orator, even without a stroke.

And helping other countries? Here's a link to a list of the 30 largest countries who make an effort to help others, graded by a percentage of gross national income: List of development aid country donors - Wikipedia

Shall I tell you who comes last?

You need to get real, my friend.

I guess the US should take its $35b & go home. But then some of its politicians & other criminals foreign & domestic wouldn't get their %. But maybe it would be better to stop increasing debt. But maybe if we don't increase debt, we destroy the foundations of modern economics. But maybe we should terminate the fed. But maybe we should reduce the interest rates, But maybe we should increase the interest rates. But maybe we should run inflation higher. But maybe we should run inflation lower. But maybe inflation will ultimately mean our currency has no value. But maybe the red candidates will save us. But maybe the blue candidates will save us. But maybe we need new parties. But I just want retroactive birth control so I can be free. But retroactive birth control is murder. But I want to control my own body. Hey!! Put your mask on and get vaccinated!!

Maybe we should get real, realize we're not that bright and it's just one failed theory after another. It's just that some theories take a few centuries to reveal they never worked for the long run & the dolts that thought they provided the solution are long gone and the current dolts argue about the past dolts and their theories while the globe keeps spinning in place going nowhere.

Maybe we should all go to the thread that's discussing what they're drinking.

Yes opening the debate by saying goodnight everyone and not being able to speak coherently shows no sign of cognitive impairment

It seems to me legalized abortion, legalized narcotics, advancement of LGBTQ2+, and govenment freebies are the greatest priorities among too many Americans. And they expect the Democrat party to deliver on those desires. Whereas they expect the Republican party to put a halt to such "progressiveness".

Interesting attempt to blame voters for not voting for GOP candidates who spew culture war nonsense in place of actual policy proposals to help those voters and the people they care about.
An alternative take might be that the party is way out of step with what the majority of voters feel would put the country back on the right track.

Strawman

You misrepresented someone's argument to make it easier to attack.

By exaggerating, misrepresenting, or just completely fabricating someone's argument, it's much easier to present your own position as being reasonable, but this kind of dishonesty serves to undermine honest rational debate.

Example: After Will said that we should put more money into health and education, Warren responded by saying that he was surprised that Will hates our country so much that he wants to leave it defenceless by cutting military spending.

Your logical fallacy is strawman

Of course it will affect his ability. That does not mean he will be unable to do his job but it will be more difficult. As someone who has suffered strokes and has cognitive impairment from them I can say with some confidence he will need assistance in certain areas. That does not mean he is not capable of doing the job and it might just give him some unique insights.

That is ironic, since your comment was actually the straw man -- you know, the one where you straw manned what was the "greatest priorities among too many Americans." Yes, he did a poor job of pointing out that your post was a straw man but it doesn't change the fact that you were the one with the straw man.

Nowadays, what does it take to do his job? Vote what the team votes for it seems. And maybe tweet occasionally.

Go back read the definition of a strawman again. I didn't do anything with anyone's argument. I posted a stand alone opinion, based on what I've heard being said the most by the left.

Think it over Republicans. If I didn't like how things were going I could vote for some Republicans this election I guess.

The Republicans on the ballot in PA were Mastriano a Christian Nationalist who was having some sort of weird amalgam of prayer service/political rally but in every way shape or form would have been a complete departure from how our state is run.

And then there was Dr. OZ an unlikable carpetbagger from new jersey who didn't seem to have any real plans but thought we were all dumb enough to vote for him.

My congress district is usually uncompetitive so it makes no difference. Yay American democracy.

However, the point is simple. Keep putting voters in those positions and expect similar results. Republican's went wacky this election and their positions aren't anywhere near as popular as they think.

Fetterman doesn't have dementia. Stroke and dementia are two different things.

Albeism is prejudice and arbitrary discrimination against the disabled, merely because they are disabled. Having a stroke doesn't preclude a person from doing productive activities.

A stroke might make someone have trouble speaking, but it wouldn't make them into a con artist like his opponent.

Taking away, or even threatening to take away a woman's bolidy autonomy ended up having an affect on Gop success. Perhaps they thought THAT was the qrong direction.

Doubling down on threats to expand an already deeply unpopular policy position definitely had an effect.

Oh, so you actually polled "too many Americans" and they gave you that "argument?" Or are you admitting that your "too many Americans" are actually a figment of your imagination?

Otherwise, while "too many Americans" is somewhat nebulous, you clearly were "exaggerating, misrepresenting, or just completely fabricating someone's argument," to make it "easier to present your own position as being reasonable." Sorry, it was clearly a straw man.

You and the other should just stick to adressing what I said and stay on topic, rather than getting into elaborate derailing critiques.

I go by what I hear the democrat left lib woke segment saying. And what I've heard them say quite a lot about is keeping their precious abortions legal, making their precious narcotic drugs legal, and supporting LGBTQ2+ being pushed on young children in public schools. Basically the top priorities seem to be sex and drugs. And then of course there's all the freebies they want. Like having the government via tax payers, cover their tuition for their arts degree that won't get them a job that pays enough to pay off their own tuition.

The bottom line, in your complaints about my post, is you don't like my candidness.

I guess that's where your problem lies. You are arguing against matters that don't really concern Democratic voters. Here's a link to a Pew poll that shows what people are actually concerned about:

In order, it's
The danger to democracy
Health care
Abortion
Supreme Court
Climate change

Matters such as narcotics (?), LGBTQ and student fees didn't even make the list. And the economy comes in 7th. So maybe you should encourage the GOP to concentrate more on the real concerns rather than what you think the 'left lib woke' Democrats are worried about. You think that reasonable and vociferous arguments against what you complain about (narcotics, LGBTQ matters, access to books by students, gay marriage, transgenderism etc etc) means that those matters need to be emphasised when standing for election. They don't.

You're fighting the wrong battles and have already lost the ones you should have avoided (abortion for example).
