  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    SDA annihilationism and hell

Hello ex-SDA here, But for being taught by a pastor that Michael the archangel was Jesus, we return to the dust when we die, Sunday worshippers receive the mark of the beast, Jesus entering the 'heavenly sanctuary' in 1844, Ellen white being the end-times prophet of God, and the pope is the...

What scriptures brought you to a Messianic practice?

Greetings, Brethren. I know what brought me to an understanding that viewing the Law, the Sabbath and the holy days was congruent with the good news of this new covenant through Yashua/Jesus our Lord, and I would love to hear what brought you here. Not all of us were raised in the Jewish or...

Luke 14 -- Salt Therefore Is Good

The Lord said His yoke was easy and His burden was light, is this really easy? Let’s compare. In the world they are struggling to get to the top of the heap. There are many people who give it everything they have and yet the world still finds issues. These debates about who the greatest of all...

It's only fun, if it is "fun" while it lasts - in Heaven, the fun stops whenever you want it to

Hi there, So I have been grappling with understanding Heaven and I have learnt very soundly, that the Lord is all-patient. This is good, but it is also a burden for a mere mortal, such as myself - I don't have the stamina to do the will of the Lord, without a rest. Indeed God gives us rest on...

    Sabbath Obligation?

When I first came to the truth of the Bible and realized that we need to obey God's will to be saved, one of the things that I was unsure of, until I searched the scriptures, was whether or not I needed to keep the Sabbath day or not. As I knew it was something God commanded the Israelites to...

Is the Sabbath an eternal moral law for humanity?

Hi, I would like to once again challenge those Christians who keep a weekly Sabbath. I want to examine two lines of overlapping thought within the Sabbath keeping belief system. First is the view that because the Sabbath is listed with the Ten Commandments it is therefore a moral law (eternal)...

Anyone messianic for awhile that has fallen out of the right observance of Sabbath? Hi, I would like to challenge Christians who keep a weekly Sabbath. I plan to start a new thread for each of the questions. The LAW the Sabbath and the Gospel of Matthew - Shall we reject them?

WHAT DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY AND IS IT LOST IN CALANDERS?

Hi all and welcome. I have heard it argued that no one really knows what day is God's "SEVENTH DAY SABBATH" of God's 4th commandment so how can we really know what day the "SEVENTH DAY" is and that God only wants us to keep one day in seven every seventh day. I would like to explore this claim...

Is the Sabbath everywhere on the seventh day of the week as it was in Eden?

The Bible shows me that In Israel, the Sabbath is not the seventh day of the week as it was in Eden. Genesis 1:3-5 shows that the first day is from light to light or from morning to morning: Israel remembers to keep the seventh-day Sabbath established in Eden holy by remembering the Sabbath in...
