  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    I Am Not Running Away

Jeremiah 17:15 ESV “Behold, they say to me, ‘Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come!’” Jeremiah was a prophet of God. He spoke the very words of God to the people. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to speak the words of the Lord to the people from the Scriptures, and we are also...

1 Peter 5:1-5 ESV “So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would...

Calling to Ministry…just not in a Church

Hello, I have had a strong calling to the ministry for 9 years. For some reason it has never worked out within a Church. I have done more ministry outside of the church. I’m wondering if this normal. All of it unpaid and mostly unplanned. I have tried to plan it but it doesn’t seem to work as...

Psalm 86:14-17 NIV “Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your...

Is it pointless to designate offerings to specific sub-ministries?

Why isnt it pointless to designate offering to a church or diversified non-profit when it just means that dept makes their budget sooner? I see it as an organized shell game by the powers at be, but I'm not blaming them if they're just doing what the donor wants. Let's say a children's ministry...

Any good timeline charts of Scripture I could share with lower-class junior high/high schoolers?

I'm part of a ministry in which we go into lower income neighborhoods and play basketball with the kids in those areas. These are mostly junior high/high-school age kids living in broken homes and dealing with personal issues. After basketball, we go through passages of scripture, and we want to...

What does ministry of correction mean?

Hi! Everyone, Does anyone know what the ministry of correction is all about? Is it part of evangelism or its entirely different. Just trying to know if there is more to it than waiting to correct someone’s behavior. Thanks.

    Ephesians 3 -- I Will Bless Thee

Ephesians 3 begins with the dispensation of grace that was given by God to Paul for us. Leviticus begins with the sacrifices and offerings that were ordained by God for the Priests to keep for us. Ephesians 3 talks about what has been made known to the apostles and prophets, and how he has been...

What does helping others look like in this situation?

What does Christian service look in our current situation? Maybe it is obvious that keeping distance and staying home are the most needed forms of service we can offer, as things stand. But, in what other ways can we fulfill our calling to look after the needs of others? There is no doubt that...
