  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Compounding adapations creates more flourishing, than diversifying adaptations, in the end

Hi there, So this is what I have come to understand, in thinking about Creation and how it leads to survival: compounding adaptations creates more flourishing, than diversifying adaptations, in the end. This means that it is not up for competition, to eliminate lesser survivors, for being less...

The Dove, will ascend to higher heights - but will not reveal Himself doing so

Hi there, So this is a Word for this hour, in the Church: the Dove will ascend to higher heights - but will not reveal Himself doing so. We will have to follow after Him, until we are in Him, at that higher point. This is what is meant by meeting the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17), but...

You have a choice: more madness, or less?

Hi there, So I have been struggling with schizophrenia for almost 18 years and I have finally reached an understanding: that puts my schizophrenia in context. That understanding, is that we all have a choice, as our lives progress: to welcome more madness, or less. What does that mean? It...

I am tempted to argue, that Evolution was true, other species would respond to the same selection?

Hi there, So I am tempted to argue, that if Evolution was true, other species would respond to at least part of the selection pressure that Mankind responded to? Like we would see more species, becoming upright? Meer cats are one example, of a species becoming like humans, its just that they...

Should I try to get from Evolutionists, what happened to "Evolution", at the tower of Babel?

Hi there, So this is a linguistic question, and I am not sure if you think it will be productive to argue the point with Evolutionists. The question is - even if Evolution had not been discovered - what happened to the chance that Evolution would be discovered and used, at the tower of Babel? I...

If "Caterpillar -> Cocoon -> Butterfly" evolves, why does "Butterfly -> Cocoon -> Butterfly" not?

Hi there, So yes, a simple question in some ways: if "Caterpillar -> Cocoon -> Butterfly" evolves, why does "Butterfly -> Cocoon -> Butterfly" not evolve also? What selection pressure is there, for the former, but not for more of the same? If the evolution was guided by a selection pressure...

There should be a word for, "God drinks our sin up like water."

There ought to be a single word that references the fact that God drinks up our sin like water. I'm referring to the forbearance and grace of God, who apparently, though he requires obedience and holiness, is not surprised by the sin that so easily besets us, including the horror of outright...

Evolutionists: you should be pushing a humanist agenda, but you are not? You gave up on humanity?

Hello there, So this is the observation: "Evolution is about humans" therefore 'Evolution could be about humans'? Why not? There is something to be said, for exhausting the potential of a given form, without simply waiting for the next one: it means more survival, not less - on the assumption...

More and more convoluted, more and more Evolution: surely not!

Hi there, So yes, it is Sunday and I am just looking at this as simply as I can. I tried to work out what Evolutionists would see in Jesus and it seemed to just drag and drag out. I am not sure if that is a sign of something or not. So now I am looking at it, without any real preconceptions and...

I've got it! I know what Evolution is missing and I'm not going to tell...

Hi there, So I know what I have been looking for all this time, all the reasoning, all the wrangling - about Evolution. But you know what? I'm not going to tell you. Jesus, specifically said "don't throw what is holy to the dogs, lest they turn on you and tear you in pieces" (Matthew 7:6). My...

    Scared because of hard heart.

Hi I became Christian around may 10th 2020. I’m 17. Ppl I spent most of my time in fear of so much stuff like: end times, second return, unpardonable sin, sinful thoughts, lukewarm, Matthew 7:21, to name a few). I prayed to God the Father and had love for God and read the Bible and stuff. I...

Lawlessness will abound, but not in Spirit

Hi there, So for context where I live now has never had any problems with riots - I truly am blessed. However, I was looking at a video about "lawlessness abounding" and I was truly humbled. The way out of the dark is there for the world, if they need it: but they have to trust Jesus. That's...

Enough throwbacks in a row, and you end up with a monkey again?

Hi there, So I have finally worked out where Evolutionists stand on their genetic heritage: throwbacks are both a confirmation of survival and a case for lineage through other species - if you have enough throwbacks, in theory you will go back to previous manifestations of survival (including...

    Concerning Pain, Evil and Suffering

These thoughts are offered in the hope that they may begin what logical defense of Christianity does not always do: To those who don't know HIM, you have maybe some vague concept of the agony of separation from God, and the joy of closeness to Christ. Maybe you have some experience with guilt...

Some things require sacrifice: if God desires mercy, what about those of us that must die?

Hi there, So yes, it is a blunt message to me, that there are certain things in life that "require" sacrifice. Revelation speaks with praise about those that "love not their lives, to the death" - but this clashes with the idea that Christ died for us, doesn't it? Didn't Jesus die, so that...

As long as you have the cross, you have the way

Hi there, So yes, I have been freed of a very severe bondage. As long as you have the cross, you have the way. Don't ask God to fix today, what He can fix for all time, at the end. This is the miracle of God, that what He saved you from at the end, He saved for eternity from that point on.

If you routinely removed all written theory - about 'Evolution' - from culture, it would reappear?

Hi there, So this is quite an obscure question, really, but there is something really disturbing about 'Evolution' as a theory. Actually there are a number of things that are disturbing, but the picture that has developed for me, has started to point in one particular direction: that Evolution...

Did Creation evolve, as an adaptation of adaptations?

Hi there, So I had this simple insight (which I wanted to share with the Physical and Life Science forum, but moreso you - the believers - first) that evolution can explain "Creation". Creation, if you will, is the use of design, to differentiate the predicted but alternative "Evolutions", so...

Is Once Saved Always Saved Biblical?

I have heard both sides of this discussion and would like to hear others opinions on this subject. I agree with both sides of the argument but I kind of lean towards the side that's says that you can lose salvation. Here's why: Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26. However, I feel like these verses...

What does it mean to deny God?

I was reading through the bible the other day and stumbled upon Matthew 10:32-33. Verse 33 states that if one denies God in front of men, Jesus will deny him infront of his father. I guess what my question is, what is the difference between Peter's denial of Jesus and the denial of God in this...
