  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Many Do Not Miss Jesus

While I agree that Christians should look forward to heaven and being with Jesus, I can also understand the young woman's point of view. After all, God puts a desire in our hearts to live the life He has given us here on earth, as well as to live with Him eternally in heaven. We can look...

Hurting at the hands of "church"

I would sit down with my dad and have a good talk with him. I would make sure that he knows that I love him and that if I decide to leave that particular church that it does not mean that he's a failure and that it does not mean that I'm giving up on Jesus or Christianity or anything like that...

    Pet up for Adoption

Hi. I've put my pet up for permanent adoption as I have had some things happen in real life recently that are taking up my time. Chips is a 787 day old cat. If you adopt him, please take good care of him. http://www.christianforums.com/cfpets.php?do=viewpet&id=288

    There are no accidents????

Bad things happen because we live in an imperfect world. People make mistakes, make poor choices, sin, etc. People even hurt others or themelves - either on purpose or without meaning to. What we can keep in mind is that God can help us and heal us even in the worst situations. He is there...

Well, do the black students themselves want this group or do they find it offensive? Do they themselves feel that there is a need for it or is it being pushed on them by others?

    Deja Vu?

Deja vu is simply having a feeling that you've done this before. For example, you may go on a trip and when you get there, have the feeling that you've been there before, even though you really haven't. Or you may have a conversation with someone and have the feeling that you've already had...

What does the bible say about Cheating?

Deuteronomy 25:15-16 You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. For the LORD your God detests anyone who does these things, anyone who deals dishonestly. Leviticus 19:11 Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not...

I can't stand her ANYMORE!!!!!!! please please help...

Have you considered whether it's time to move out get a place of your own (perhaps with a roommate)? Often, young adults get along better with their parents once they no longer live together.

    How does one know?

I think back to where I was in my faith a few months or a year ago (or sometimes even longer than that). Then I consider whether I'm in the same place or if I've moved ahead or gone backwards. Another way to find out is to talk with a close, mature Christian friend who will be honest with you...

    Finding New Friends

Do any local churches have youth groups that you could join?

    Which is better?

I disagree with that - elementary school was much better than high school. Even kindergarten students seemed more mature than a lot of the high school students I knew. There's something about high school that brings out the worst in a lot of people.

    Is renting property sinful?

I've never heard of that kind of verse either.

    Which is better?

University was a better experience than high school by far. Most people in university are somewhat more mature than those in high school. Therefore, there's less of the high school drama, bullying, etc. to deal with.

    Need help - bible verse

What I get out of it is to put people before money. People (and therefore friendships) can last forever, but money doesn't.
