it generally seen to mean, doing things expecting god to do something for you. AKA going out there and risking your life so that god will protect you. Well with covid alone we see that just relying on god gets you killed, because part of your responsibility is to use what he's given you. If your going to be like, "Well god will protect me don't need a vaccine." then your testing god and he has no obligation to protect you.
My responsibility is to protect the integrity and accuracy of the written Word of God. My purpose is to proclaim the Word of God in declaration and in believing action.
I think …and I hate using words that pigeonhole people and that is not my intent….I can’t stand titles within Christianity …. But your acceptance of postmodern Christianity or the beliefs therein will not allow you to comprehend my stance on the Word of God.
And my stance can be summed up pretty much in
Psalms 23:1-6 ….which is incorrectly and absurdly used at burials.
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
When you unpack those verses …it displays a beautiful dynamic walk with the father as that of a shepherd with a flock.
