CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh yeah pretend they don't exist. The right time and time again have shown they don't care about babies after born, it's only when fetuses they care. after that they will do everything to remove support for the babies and mothers, not care about sacrity of life when it comes to covid 19, or child support, or gun control, or many other things. People will start caring about what the right talks about, if they start showing it's more then just pretending to be moral.

That would not be the case in this country (USA).
It's true that the Catholic Church is opposed to both abortion and contraception devices, but otherwise (and also among ordinary Catholic laymen and women), the two are not thought of in the same way.

I wouldn't know. Usually I'm only exposed to a few quick comments that preclude me from forming a solid opinion on how they actually feel about everyone's right to life - of the born or unborn.

That is one opinion. And we've already been informed that women's "rights" is what governs the issue in the minds of some people, so whether or not abortion is murder doesn't even enter into the matter when that's present.
