  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Anti-abortion advocates are also often anti-contraception advocates. However, these beliefs are self-contradictory. If people have access to contraception and birth control, the amount of abortions significantly decrease. Claims can be made about the ethical implications of abortion, but these claims cannot be made in regards to contraception, since it prevents any unwanted pregnancy, thus making the lives of people easier and more pleasurable/comfortable. Additionally, if there is no fertilization of an egg, then there is no life in question.

That might be true in your part of the world, but here in America I think most pro-life people limit their families to two children. I never aborted a child! We did limit our family to four children.

I'm anti abortion in almost all circumstances and I'm definitely not anti contraception. That would be ridiculous and make no sense at all imo.

It depends on the type of contraception that is used. For example, the "Coil" prevents the already fertilized egg from embedding in the womb, this is a form of abortion.

It's not always so clear cut, black or white.

It’s not about abortion, really. It’s about punishing women for having sex.

This is untrue and unhelpful. Most people that are anti abortion care about the unborn and the woman. They believe the unborn has a right to life that trumps the woman's right to autonomy.

Oh no they have literally said it. Just look at the HPV vaccine, how many are like, "This just will allow woman to have sex without consequences." and other such things.

Also the rejection of things, such as the Colorado program that distributed birth control and reduced the teen abortion rate by almost half, that reduce the number of abortions but don't do so by demanding people adhere to conservative sexual habbits.

I am talking about abortion not the HPV. Yes, people say a lot of things. But to imply that is the majority opinion is false. Or give evidence that I am wrong.

Abortion is just a extension of other things, the point is they want punishments to be there for sex. making it easier on people to have safe sex means it's not dangerous and such.

For some this is true. Not all or even most believe this. Do you know of other reasons people are against abortion?

they have EVERYTHING to do with them, hard to argue the right cares about children while locking them up in cages, or care about fetuses and such while fighting against saving lives with covid and such. Teh right have become a joke of it self.

Whether abortion is moral or not has nothing to do with how the right views children or women.

No matter what they belive it ends up being about controling and punishing women.

Anti-abortion has no place in modern society.

Possibly on the ground but at policy level it’s a silly Christian thing about sex being bad (for women).

Uppity women having consequence free sex is bad for..... reasons.

Abortion has no place in a mature civi, ized
    society.
It exists now in an ugly and tragic balancing
    act between competing evils.

Maybe maybe society will improve to
where abortion is unknown, and every child
has optimal conditions for their childhood.

    Can always dream.

What mature, civilized society would sentence a woman to lethal injection or life in prison for taking a "morning after" pill?

Not sure where you are coming from, as in
how you could derive such a question from
anything I said, but, that would be barbaric
in the extreme as I trust you know, unless you
    are one of those talibans.
