The lust of the eyes goes beyond money and many would associate it with the flesh before means. As for the other, what percentage of people desiring riches achieves it or millions for that matter? I'm asking for a reason.

For the majority it's wishful thinking or takes half their life to accomplish. I'm not negating the scripture but you can't divorce it from its application. Since we're discussing christians you have to view it through a spiritual lens. Which means spiritual gifts and your divine blueprint. Wealth accumulation is from the Lord. He provides the insight, ideas and favor to make it possible.

In respect to spiritual gifts for someone with a marketplace calling whether it's with an employer or entrepreneur you'd see wisdom and knowledge at minimum and leadership for business leaders. I have all three and others and most of my ideas come from the Father whether they're impressed, lightbulb moments or downloads I receive while awake or sleeping I attribute them to Him.

Everything under the heavens belongs to Him and there's no scarcity in His world. A million dollars seems like a lot when know how is lacking. But when you break it down you'll see otherwise. To earn a million dollars in a year you'd need to make $19,231 dollars per week. Which is $2,748 dollars per day or $115 dollars per hour. Which is 5 sales for a $25 dollar product or 4 for $30. A million dollars isn't hard to earn. The challenge is creating something that solves a problem that people are willing to pay for.

What happened to preachers has no bearing on me directly. We're not one in the same nor do I have their temptations. They rely on the congregation for sustenance while I earn a living through my prowess. We have different objectives and I'm not compelled to use the Lord to make a buck nor is it necessary. But I could monetize my faith if I wanted to. It isn't hard.

Lionsgate has announced the release dates and unveiled first-look images for “The Resurrection of the Christ,” the long-awaited follow-up to “The Passion of the Christ,” and confirmed that the biblical epic will arrive in theaters in two parts beginning in 2027.

In a statement sent to The Christian Post, the studio said principal photography on the film, directed by Mel Gibson, wrapped ahead of schedule after 134 days of filming across Italy, including locations in Rome, Matera, Bari, Ginosa, Craco and Brindisi.

“The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One” will be released May 6, 2027, coinciding with Ascension Day, which commemorates the day Christ physically ascended into Heaven on the 40th day after His resurrection, while “Part Two” is slated for May 25, 2028, during Memorial Day weekend and Ascension Day.

The studio previously announced the sequel would be released on March 26, 2027, followed by “Part Two” on May 6, 2027, on Good Friday and Ascension Day, respectively.

I understand from a friend that some small congregations are now sharing church buildings as a way to say financially viable. Perhaps you could look into paying rent to a nearby church for the use of their building? That would be much less expensive than building a new church.

Cardinal Sarah is usually considered to be one the most conservative Cardinals, so where does this leave the SSPX? Will they still proceed on July 1 with the proposed ordinations? My guess is that they will go ahead as planned with the ordiantions.

We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets….and Jesus Christ Himself is the Chief Corner Stone.

Eph 2:19-22
(19) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
(20) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

We received commandments from the apostles that cannot be undone as they are binding upon us even now.

Jesus had given them the keys to the kingdom/government of heaven….of which we have our citizenship in. This is their authority upon us. Their commandments are now binding upon us. They decided binding things back then for us to do today.

The erroneous commandments of the church fathers do not nullify theirs who built their man-based churches upon their doctrines and commandments of men as contained in their church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas.

You know what commandments “we”…the original apostles…gave to us by the Lord Jesus. Their commandments of course are in the name of Jesus Christ.

1Th 4:1-2 KJV
(1) Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
(2) For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

Their commandment to work with our own hands to support our own earthly necessities…with quietness, work and eat our own bread…is directed to the overseers of the church of God. This commandment is to the pastors...the overseers.... of the church.

Again, the original apostles did forgo the power to make a living off those they preached to. They did bind this upon the apostles after them.

They had that right to make a living off those they preached to but they did shut the door on it for good. It is binding upon us now. Now we are to follow their example to work so that we are not chargeable to any. There is no exception.

2Th 3:7-12
(7) For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
(8) Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

They are THE (not “an”) example for us to follow them. There is no other option. They are THE example to follow.

(9) Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves THE ensample unto you to follow us.

The overseers of the church of God are to work with their own hands in order that they may eat. This could be literal but it might be spiritual as well. If they do not work with their own hands to support their own necessities, then they cannot “eat” of the Word of Truth. They cannot be at His table to partake of the Scripture of Truth. And so, those who are not following the commandment of the original apostles do not have the Word of Truth so that they could spiritually feed the congregation that they are pastoring.

(10) For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
(11) For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Their binding commandments upon us are through the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Cornerstone of the foundation of the original apostles and prophets that we are built upon. There is no other option as it is binding now.

(12) Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

If this makes one angry, let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Neither give place to the devil as sin lies at the door of our mouths. We must rule over it. Remember how Cain who was a "tiller of the ground"....of earthly things that the rest of the world goes after. He was full of wrath when he discovered that his offerings were not respected by God.

Eph 4:26-28 KJV
(26) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
(27) Neither give place to the devil.

Let him that stole steal no more but rather let him labor, WORKING WITH HIS OWN HANDS the thing which is good to that he may have to give to him that needs.

The pastor who preached for a paycheck stole. He had no knowledge of the Word of Truth that he could give to those he was “pastoring” as a result.

But if he steals no more and instead works with his own hands to support his own earthly necessities, he can then understand the Scriptures. His mind shall no longer be “blinded” by his desire to fill his own belly with others’ bread. He can then give the Word of Truth (that he will now understand) to others who need to hear it.

(28) Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Paul clearly declares this fact. He did not shun to declare unto us all the counsel of God. He was pure from the blood of all men as he preached the Word of Truth so others could be truly saved.

When we do not preach the Word of Truth (because we do not understand it because of the preaching to fill our belly), the sheep perish. They do not understand the truth of the gospel so that they may have an age-lasting life in their mortal bodies. If their pastors do not understand the Word of Truth, then the sheep do not understand it and are mortally perishing under their "shepherding".

What we have witnessed so far has been the “flock of the slaughter” because their church overseers do not understand the truth of the gospel because they are not obeying the commandment of the original apostles who in the authority of Jesus Christ commanded the overseers to work with their own hands to support their own necessities.

Act 20:26-35 KJV
(26) Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
(27) For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

He showed us how to truly feed the church of God….

(28) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
(29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
(30) Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
(31) Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
(32) And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
(33) I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.

….by showing his own example to us as his own hands did minister for his own necessities. We must be “with him” on this. We know that Paul worked with his own hands (as a tentmaker) in order to meet his own necessities.

(34) Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

He showed us ALL THINGS…..how so laboring (with our own hands to support our own earthly necessities) we ought to support the weak.

We then can support the weak minds of the people of the outside world who will see us working with our own hands to support ourselves and will not have a reason to blaspheme the name of God. They can not then call the church a "den of thieves".

(35) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

If we work with our own hands to support our own earthly necessities, then we are walking “honestly”…honorably….toward them that are without.

The people of the outside world have weak consciences and will blaspheme the name of God when they see us preaching for a paycheck.

But if we do what is honorable (working for our own necessities rather than getting them from the church), then they have no reason to speak evil.

Do this as WE COMMANDED YOU to do....

1Th 4:11-12 KJV
(11) And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
(12) That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

The nations of the outside world seek all these earthly things first in their lives.

We must seek first the kingdom/government of God and His righteousness and all these earthly things shall be added unto us. We SHALL LACK NOTHING. Remember the commandments of the apostles and do them for we are built upon that foundation. They are part of the government of God.

Mat 6:31-33 KJV
(31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
(33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I might say that your brother's goodness is it. He is there for the cats as he should be. If people were as such consistently the world would be very different.

As another note;

Cats go away to die, not only for peace, but to not be a burden. In some way the cat is attempting to be selfless at their end. I hate a cat who was bitten horribly by something and went under the shed to die. We ended up moving stuff out of the shed and removing the floor to reach him. He resisted us. But when we brought him in, dressed his wounds (as the Veternarian who we took him to only offered Euthenasia and refused other treatment - rural so not many options) made a bed from blankets, hand fed him, and changed out the blankets when he dirtied them. He understood that we accepted that burden. He understood and decided to live. After a few days when able to started limping himself to the litter box. Kept on cleaning and dressing the wounds - difficult for a cat, they are so squirmy and don't like bandages. It would have been nice to have professional help, but he recovered. He was stiff from the wounds and had difficulty grooming himself for a few years, the fur at the rear of his back would get so matted. Eventually the stiffness worked itself out, because he was always an active cat. And he lived for several more good years.

Similarly, he hated the flea stuff we put on him and used to run around to avoid it. One day I said to him, "You know this is for your own good" and then he just allowed me to apply it. He listened with understanding. He would look us in the eyes and communicate. We say, "No, you can't eat the baby chicks" (we had chickens) he'd look annoyed, but listen. He was a wise cat. And I think this cat of mine was a little example (moreso than us) of the way things they should be and often just aren't. We are to be good stewards with creation and I think creation responds and is elevated. I think this is why animals trust Saints.

The relationship with this cat and the idea of the goodness of God make me believe that animal spirits don't annihilate and that God has something good set aside for his whole creation.

Perhaps, especially, when you don’t feel Him, as was the case with Mother Teresa for most of her life.

A hostage crisis in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur has left 20 people unaccounted for following the killing of three Kuki-Zo pastors and their driver more than 10 days ago, triggering retaliatory abductions between Kuki-Zo and Naga groups, both predominantly Christian communities.

Federal authorities are now investigating after the crisis began May 13, when the pastors were ambushed while returning from the United Baptist Church Conference in Churachandpur to Kangpokpi, two hill districts in the state. The killings were followed by the abduction of villagers and travelers from both communities in Kangpokpi and Senapati districts.

The pastors killed in the attack were identified as Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulun and Pastor Paogoulen, as previously reported by Christian Daily International. Four others were injured. Some Kuki-Zo groups blamed the Zeliangrong United Front’s Kamson faction, or ZUF-K, an armed Naga group, for the attack and alleged it was acting as a proxy for armed groups from the predominantly Hindu Meitei community in the state.

The absence of Jonathan Lamb from the speaker lineup at his mother’s memorial service highlighted the family tensions and controversies that plagued Joni Lamb and Daystar Television Network in the years before her death.

Family members, ministry leaders and supporters gathered Monday at Gateway Church to honor the life and legacy of the longtime Christian broadcaster, who died May 7 at age 65after serious health complications worsened by a recent back injury.

While several family members and high-profile figures delivered tributes during the memorial, Jonathan Lamb, Joni Lamb’s eldest son and former Daystar executive, did not speak.

According to The Roys Report, Jonathan and his wife, Suzy Lamb, were seated in the front row away from the rest of the family and largely out of camera view.

The omission came amid a years-long public rift within the Lamb family that intensified after the death of Marcus Lamb in 2021.

What was special about Garcia's case is that HS flouted direct judicial orders, several times. We paid to have him held in a brutal concentration camp which is an outrageous punishment for a immigration violation. Then, after we got him back, the Trump admin tried to hustle him out without due process. The president himself told lies about him while making a fool of himself in the Terry Moran interview.

The technicality is gross prosecutorial misconduct, vindictive and selective, besides the charges having no real change of holding.

And he is not out of the woods yet re immigration status.

Today, countless Christians will read headlines announcing Pope Leo’s new encyclical on artificial intelligence and assume the Church has finally “addressed” AI.

There will be summaries, commentary, debates, and predictions about whether the document is hopeful or cautious, visionary or restrained. Some will celebrate it as the Church stepping confidently into the technological future. Others will criticize it for not going far enough. But beneath all of that discussion lies a more difficult reality: no single encyclical — however thoughtful or important — can adequately prepare the Church for what artificial intelligence is already doing to human beings, communities, and culture.

Questions surrounding human dignity, truth, labor, identity, authority, and the ethical use of power are all deeply implicated in the rise of artificial intelligence. These are not questions confined to Rome, nor even to Christianity alone. They are questions every major religious tradition — and every local faith community — will increasingly have to confront as AI reshapes how people live, relate, work, learn, and understand themselves. Because while broad theological principles may be shared by ecclesiastical leaders like the Pope, the ethical practice of faithful AI engagement will always be refined locally — through the lived realities, economic pressures, cultural dynamics, relational patterns, and pastoral needs of particular communities.
