Trump targets states that voted for Harris in shutdown fight​

The White House is targeting Democratic states with its first wave of cuts to federal projects following the government shutdown, impacting billions of dollars in funding for energy and infrastructure in New York, California and elsewhere.

The cuts will impact 16 states — all of which voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election. Vought did not identify exactly which programs would be cut in the social media announcement.

The moves reflect Trump’s intent to undermine programs benefiting Americans in blue-leaning states, while leaders from both parties work to negotiate a government funding agreement. Trump has suggested the shutdown could offer a pretense to cut programs he doesn’t like.

“We can get rid of a lot of things that we didn’t want, and they’d be Democrat things,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday ahead of the shutdown.

That's not what Paul is teaching. Please try and separate yourself from your adopted religious philosophy for just a minute, and read what Paul actually said about the "Gospel of Christ".

This doesn't mean to just believe Jesus came. Demons believe Jesus came. Those Christians Jesus didn't know in Matt. 7, believed Jesus came.

That isn't the Gospel of Christ.

The implication of your religious philosophy here, that the Gospel of Christ didn't exist before Paul or Constantine, is a popular religious philosophy promoted by "Many" who call Jesus Lord, Lord. And of a truth, many of this world's religions who come in Christ's Name, promote a gospel that didn't exist until Constantine. But the Biblical truth is clear, the Gospel Paul promoted, had been shown to the Jew and the non-Jew since before Moses.

God's Church was always filled with men who were Jews inwardly, as Paul taught both Jew and Gentile. Remember, Jesus said "Salvation is of the Jews". A Jew here is defined as "Children of Abraham".

Only disobedient Jews were cut off of the Holy Tree. Those biological Jews who who did not do the "works of Abraham", at least this is what the Holy Scriptures teach. Any Gentile who joined themselves to the Lord were part of God's Church from the very beginning.

Lev. 19: 33 And if a stranger (Non-Jew/Israelite) sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. 34 But the stranger (Non-Jew/Israelite) that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and "thou shalt love him" as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Please read Heb. 11, and find a list of just a few men who were "Jews inwardly". These men were given the gospel of Christ, and mixed their hearing with belief, AKA "Faith".

A "church" who calls Jesus Lord, Lord, builds great massive religious businesses, and man-made shrines of worship in Christ's name, even casts out demons in Christ's Name, but lives in transgression of God's Commandments is not God's Church. According to God's Definition of His His Own New Covenant, which I believe a man should consider if they want to know the Truth of God, there were only 2 things that were prophesied to change.

#1. The manner in which God's Laws were administered. No more is a person required to go find a Levite Priest to learn about God's Laws. God will write them on the hearts of those who, as Paul taught both Jew and gentile, "Repented, turned to God and were doing "works" worthy of repentance. And here we are today, with the Oracles of God in our own Homes, in our own mind. All men need is the same thing they always needed, "Belief".

#2. The manner in which Forgiveness is provided for. No longer is a man required to go find a Levite Priest and engage in the sacrificial "works of the Law" for remission of sins. God Himself provides for the atonement. Even Abraham understood this.

The teaching of this world's religious system, that God's Laws were against men so God abolished His own Laws, is a poplar religious philosophy of this world. But as any man can see, if they reads God's own description of his Own New Covenant, it was the Priesthood Covenant HE made with Levi on Israel's behalf, that was changed into a Priesthood "After the Order of Melchizedek", a incorruptible Priesthood. As God points out in His Inspired Word.

So although the Old Testament is still scripture the covenant itself no longer applies to those who the new covenant applies. The Christian is not under the Jewish laws.

This is in part true. The "Jews Religion" that Paul was a part of when they murdered Stephen, "Full well rejected the Commandments of God so they could promote their own religious traditions. Jesus said they taught for doctrines the Commandments of men, not God. They were given God's Laws through Moses, and even told of the Prophesied Priest that was to come, but they didn't believe Moses. They, not God, placed grievous burdens on the necks of men. Their Law, not God's Law, condemned Jesus Stephen and the Prophets before them to death. So it is true that those who had "Yielded themselves" servants to obey God, and serve the Law of God with their minds, as Paul taught, and Lived by every Word of God, as Jesus taught, no longer participated or lived under "Jewish Law".

Instead they repented of following this world's religious system that has always, and will always be at enmity with God, and turned to God's Judgments, Commandments and Statutes, which are not "Jewish Laws", rather, they are the Laws many Jews rejected and were cut off because of it.

My friend, take a leap of Faith and become a "Doer" of the Jesus "of the Bibles" sayings, not a hearer only, and become renewed in your mind, that you might put on "the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Like Jesus was.

Trump is using the extortion tactics. Saying he may close democratic agencies. Those agencies are funded by Congress and for all Americans.
The topic I spoke of in relation to this thread was about the extent of illegals using healthcare dollars. Today, Vance showed bills of illegal's emergency care. Seems Christian to want to help those folks. I think too that the hospitals will treat any emergency and eat the bill if they must. So the care will continue, its just shifting who pays to locals. If the hospitals get stuck, they will just raise the bills on everyone else. You can search various countries, the only ones that require cash up front for emergency care are the banana republics. As an American that visits such places I sure hope they treat me if for some reason because sometimes getting funds days to get the funds over. I see too that some states might give medicaid to some illegals in the usa. Ok, then that is on them. It still seems disingenous for GOP politicians to suggest that illegals getting care are what is creating the shutdown. The ceiling has been raised 78 times, it is not just the current Congreess or either party. It is all politicans that voted for spending without raising the revenue to support it. But in this round, it seems to be centered on gutting some programs and scoring political points. Why can't the GOP use Congress instead of some dubious Presidential power in all these changes?
Those who are GOP should be careful, winning some of these battles because those small victories may complicate who wins the war. Why? because people of all political persuasions like kindness and the fruit of the spirit. Of course some dems have little but if the GOP is the de facto party of most Christians, then the ugliness the GOP can hurt the Christian witness.

I wish you well with that. In many churches music is a sacred cow that even pastors are timid to mess with. Those involved with the music program will cling to it desperately for their opportunity to get on stage and perform. And, there will be those in the congregation who really come for the music they get to hear every week to where it seems the music is more important than the faith itself. My experience.

I'm sure having 14 kids with 4 different women (including kids with two different women at the same time) while being an absentee dad also does wonders for a child's health. Although, in Musk's case, maybe they're better off with him being absent.

I didn't mean it as a flame about your literacy. I hadn't been in a library for 20+ years before meeting my wife, who's a voracious reader. She clears north of 130 books/yr, and buying them all would.... pose a number of challenges. She's got cards at at least three libraries, and is at one of them multiple times a week. Now that I go, too, I appreciate them for what they are. Books, sure, but movies and games, too, and loads of events, including a bunch of stuff for little kids. Ours does a bunch of giveaways, too - we go to the aquarium twice a year (as well as a couple other places) and never pay for it.
