The debt Jesus paid was required by God's justice, which debt Jesus paid and which justice Jesus satisfied.

There are variations of thought as to what Jesus did for those three days. Most do believe he went to Abrahm's Bosom. To the thief on the cross, Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise, a reference to where the OT saints were being kept. When Jesus led captivity captive he broke these saints out of paradise and they went to heaven.

A case by some is is made that Jesus went to Tartarus, another compartment in hell. the idea that he went to more than one compartment of hell is found from Psalm 63:9 “But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.”

This teaching and following quote is based on teaching by Bob Yandian. The Lower Parts of the Earth — Bob Yandian Ministries

"II Peter 2:4 “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment…”

The word for “hell” in this verse is “Tartarus.” II Peter 2:4 is the only scripture in the New Testament where “Tartarus” is found. This is the place where the fallen angels were cast and are presently bound in chains and are in darkness, waiting for the day of judgment.

Jude 6 “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

I Peter 3:19 “By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison.” Jesus went into all three compartments under the earth. “Spirits in prison” in I Peter 3:19 is not a reference to human spirits. When a reference is being made to human spirits the terms “spirits of just men” or “spirits of wicked men” are used. But when “spirits” appears alone, it is a reference to the angels that fell and left their first estate. These are the angels that are bound in Tartarus."

So the three parts of the lower regions are said to be Abraham's bosom, Tarturus, and Hades, the place that the rich man went and saw Abraham in the next compartment. Even in this teaching, it is not too clear to me why Jesus would have gone to this part called hades.

Some only see two parts of hell but Tarturus seems to indicate a third compartment. That Jesus went to all three is likely the most controversial idea. I think most think only Abraham's bosom. But what were the spirits he preached too if only Abraham's bosom? Regardless, I am certain that all the prophecies were fulfilled and that Jesus conquered over all of hell and did everything that was needed.

The Parable of the Wheat and Tares does not leave room for a “rapture” because the reaping angels only gather the wheat in once. If there was a “rapture” at any point before the Second Coming, the angels would have to gather in the wheat, and then at the Second Coming they would have to be sent out to gather the wheat in again. That is, they would gather Christians at the Rapture, and then they would have to gather those who became Christians after the Rapture at the time of the Second Coming.

When you refer to a “burned planet” I assume you are referring to this verse.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens
will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by
fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. [Some

The translators here think that “laid bare” is a better translation than “burned up.” For comparison, take a look at this verse.

But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is
in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

As Hebrews points out, a field of “thorns and thistles” will be burned by a farmer, not with the intent of destroying the land completely, but in hopes of a better crop in the future.

We are told that a New Jerusalem will descend to the earth in Revelation 3:12 and 21:21, so God isn’t completely finished with the earth.

Illegal profiling accounts for a substantial portion of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests in 2025. New data obtained from ICE by the Deportation Data Project drives home how frequently Latino immigrants are arrested off the streets without any recent prior contact with law enforcement. The screenshot below shows what the data look like. Each row represents an individual arrest and provides details about the arrest method, criminal history, and citizenship status. The most notable aspect of the new data is that they provide the exact location of each person’s apprehension.

The key takeaway is that ICE is arresting thousands of people in random locations—what it calls “non-specific” or “general” areas—who had no prior contact with law enforcement: the telltale sign of illegal profiling. Normally, ICE makes arrests only after the suspect has been identified in some other way. For instance, they were arrested by local police and their name was checked against the government data, or they were going to an appointment related to their status, so ICE knew they would be there. Full disclosure: The Cato Institute is Libertarian. They see lawless government as much, much more dangerous than lawless individuals, citing dictators of all stripes. The data clearly support their conclusions. If American citizens with brown skins can be rounded up by masked and unidentified agents, and held indefinitely, so can any of us.
