Ativan withdrawl and urology update.

Been having difficulty peeing again. We're going to call the urologist in the morning and see if they can do my ultrasound sometime tomorrow to see if im retaining urine again or if he can't do it until Friday still I'm going to ask if he thinks I should go to the er and have them check me out. It's really frustrating because I wasn't having any issues the first day and now I'm having issues again.

I think the ativan withdrawals are pretty much all but gone now.

should Christians be afraid of AGI - Artificial General Intelligence.

There is a lot of speculation about the end of the world and many Christians hold to a view of the rapture and the second coming and the battle of Armageddon, and a number of other things, that all point to a soon to be realised "End of The World".

In that context, be afraid of Artificial General Intelligence. a number of experts in the field predict that AGI may be achieved, within a few years. there is a paper to the effect that 2027 maybe the start of a slide towards humanity's extinction at the hand of AGI.

I do not suggest that we should accept, what is written in the paper without a critical examination of the claims in it. Nevertheless we do face some serious challenges and The wars in Ukraine and Gaza automated systems can be created, to undertake war. And the use of drones in the air and in the water, appear to make our conventional forces very vulnerable. So I am wondering, if any of you see these things as precursors to the last day?

The drones in question are being remote controlled by human operators - they are unmanned aerial vehicles. AI serves a very different purpose. In terms of military and security applications for it, intelligence and surveillance are likely to dominate, because of the ability of AI systems to engage in pattern-matching of visual images, sounds and so on. Up until now, surveillance has tended to be prohibitively expensive; AI could allow a small team of humans to monitor hundreds of thousands of security cameras by highlighting probable emergencies and allowing police, fire and medical, or on the battlefield, QRF (quick reaction forces), medics and anti-aircraft weaponry, to be deployed.

DAVID MARCUS: De facto President Trump's handling of shutdown threat was a masterclass

Sure, too bad about the air and water, though.

EPA is about to lose a major tool that allows it to keep energy costs low and regulate pollution. The pending repeal of EPA’s Endangerment Finding will make our air dirtier, our energy more expensive, and our planet less healthy. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and President Trump are behind this effort to enrich Big Polluters at our expense....

The Trump administration is exempting dozens of chemical manufacturers, oil refineries, coal plants, medical device sterilizers and other polluters from Clean Air Act rules....
The limits are aimed at reducing the releases of toxic chemicals, including those that cause cancer. One rule that the Trump administration is exempting about 50 polluters from would have been expected to reduce cancer risks of people living within 6 miles of a chemical plant by 96 percent.
The Trump administration touted its decision as being supportive of fossil fuels and manufacturing....
  • One proclamation exempts about 40 medical device sterilizing plants from requirements to reduce 90 percent of their emissions of cancer-causing ethylene oxide.
  • Another exempts more than 50 chemical manufacturers and oil refineries from requirements to cut emissions of toxic chemicals including ethylene oxide and another cancer-linked chemical called chloroprene.
  • A third proclamation exempts eight producers of taconite iron ore, which is used to make steel, from requirements to reduce mercury emissions by about 33 percent. Fetal exposure to mercury is linked to brain and nervous system damage.
  • The fourth proclamation exempts six coal plants from restrictions on releases of mercury, nickel, arsenic and lead. The Biden-era rule in question was expected to reduce exposure to substances that can cause developmental delays in children, as well as heart attacks and cancer.
A bunch of leftist scare mongering, written by a leftist writer. The EPA has been over regulating for many years now, going way above and beyond safety measures. Making more and more demands on our manufacturers which make it more and more difficult for us and t are away our manufacturing.

Andromeda

I recently saw the movie Interstellar directed by Christopher Nolan.
There must have been a considerable science input such as the Tesseract which is a 4D cube.

8-cell-simple.gif

Doing some research I found the science advisor was none other than the Nobel Prize winner in Physics Kip Thorne who wrote a book on the film.

Kip Thorne is also an expert on the subject of wormholes having made major contributions to the theory when it was first proposed by Flamm in 1916.

Wormhole.png

According to the theory advanced by physicists such as Thorne if positive energy in the form of matter and photons contacts a wormhole it will collapse. Therefore light cannot travel through wormholes unless exotic matter in the form of negative energy is introduced to keep the wormhole open.
As I mentioned previously wormholes only work in Hollywood, exotic matter keeping wormholes open is in the realm of science fiction.

Dozens of OB-GYNs fled Idaho after its abortion ban. Medicaid cuts could make access to care even worse.

Dozens of OB-GYNs fled Idaho after its abortion ban. Medicaid cuts could make access to care even worse.

The state has lost over a third of its OB-GYNs -- 94 of 268 -- since the ban was enacted in 2022, according to a new study in medical journal JAMA Network Open.

[A year ago, they had 'only' lost 22% of them.]

Idaho doctor who worked at now-closed maternity ward says abortion ban harmed recruiting

West Valley Medical Center is the third facility to close its maternity services in Idaho since the state enacted a near-total abortion ban in August 2022.

A February report by a coalition of Idaho physicians found the state lost 22% of practicing OB-GYNs since the ban took effect, and 55% of maternal-fetal medicine specialists.

After Bonner General closed its obstetric services, Kootenai Health, located an hour south, inherited its patients, which included residents across the northern tip of the state. Some women now have to drive two to three hours to get prenatal care or to deliver at Kootenai, according to one of its OB-GYNs, Dr. Brenna McCrummen.

"There have been patients that have delivered on the side of the road because they're not able to get to the hospital in time. There have been babies that have gone to the NICU who didn't do as well as they probably would have had they not had to travel long distances," she told ABC News.

More than 350,000 of the state's residents are insured by Medicaid, including those covered by the expansion plan voters approved through a ballot measure in 2018.

Under the federal changes, the state could lose $3 billion in funding over the next decade and 37,000 residents could lose coverage, according to analysis by KFF.

In Idaho, Medicaid covers around a third of births, according to data from March of Dimes.

"The worry is that as these changes are happening in the Medicaid space, it's going to be harder, particularly for rural hospitals, to maintain those obstetric services, and if they discontinue those, we've got more maternity care deserts, and we've got a greater risk of both moms and babies having worse outcomes," Warren said.

"If patients don't have access to insurance and they don't have access to Medicaid, sometimes they delay prenatal care, we don't catch complications early enough, and it puts the baby and the mother's lives at risk," Klingler, who works in a small mountain town in central Idaho, told ABC News.

Meanwhile, Idaho has also turned a blind eye to maternal mortality rates.

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

how can faith be a gift when faith can be measured?

how do we measure our faith?

Federal judge blocks Texas Ten Commandments law, calls Christianity one of the 'desert religions'

Desert religion? Jesus told us to preach to the whole world.

Also, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
aren’t the only Abrahamic religions. They’re just the largest.

(Some include Samaritanism, Mandaeism, Druze, Yarsanism, Bahai, among others as Abrahamic religions as well).

The judge must have been misinformed.

Questions and Answers

Your understanding of the timing of the 7th trumpet is incorrect.

Revelation 20:11-15 is the Great White Throne Judgement after the Millennial rule of Jesus and final rebellion of the nations are over. Three categories of persons will appear before the Great White Judgment...

1. unbelievers of all times, i.e. persons who heard the gospel of Salvation, but rejected it.
2. persons who never heard the gospel of Salvation during their lifetimes.
3. persons who become Christians during the Millennium.

The judging of the dead (the resurrected believers in Christ) in Revelation 11:18 which rewards will be given to Christians of all levels - is not called the Great White Throne Judgment in the text... because it is not the Great White Throne Judgment.
The judging of the dead in Revelation 11:18 is contrasted with the rewards for believers. So, "the dead" there refer to unbelievers just as is the case with the dead that are judged in Revelation 20:11-15 who get cast into the lake of fire.

There's no reason to think that the dead will be judged at any other time than the time described in Revelation 20:11-15. Matthew 25:31-46 makes it clear that all people will be judged at the same time just after Jesus returns with His angels. When Jesus talked about the goats being cast into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels at that time (Matthew 25:41), that is the same event as those whose names are not written in the book of life being cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Meanwhile, at that same time, believers will inherit eternal life (Matt 25:46) in the kingdom prepared for us from the foundation of the world (Matt 25:34) in the eternal new heavens and new earth (Rev 21:1-5). As Peter said in 2 Peter 3:13, we look for new heavens and a new earth in fulfillment of the promise of Christ's second coming.

Respecting others beliefs

I found this really hard. I always found people who believe different from you want you to live the life they do. B/c they believe different about the world, they act different, & they want the people they interact w/ to act different. Eventually, most likely quickly, you will have to choose between your beliefs & their's. & most likely you will choose their's.
Perhaps you will have more grace then I did
Or perhaps you have the gift of evangelism & can lead them to Christ quickly.
(Posting in fellowship)

Agreed, or some people think you’re a fanatic for wanting to talk about the love of Christ.

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Because they sick, duh. Scripture said sinners are dead as well
Yet another childish response from you.

Why are you not willing to even think about the difference between someone being dead in sins and being spiritually sick? Why would you draw conclusions about what it means for someone to be dead in sins without taking into consideration that they are also sick in another sense?

Do you understand that death is separation such as when people physically die their soul and spirit separates from their body? Being dead in sins means your sins separate you from a relationship with God. It has nothing to do with what someone is capable of doing. Being spiritually sick, as Jesus described sinners, does not makes someone incapable of repenting and believing. A sick person is capable of recognizing and acknowledging that they are sick and can't heal themselves and need the physician to heal them instead.
