All Worshipers of Images

Psalms 97:6-7 ESV

“The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory.
All worshipers of images are put to shame,
who make their boast in worthless idols;
worship him, all you gods!”

This reminds me a little bit of Romans 1:18-32 where we read that what can be known about God is plain to humankind, because God has shown it to humans via his creative works, i.e. via his creation. For God’s invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So all are without excuse who by their unrighteousness and ungodliness suppress the truth of what can clearly be known about God.

For, then it goes on and it says, “For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things” (Romans 1:21-23). So, this, as well, is about idolatry and the worship of worthless idols in place of worship of the one true and only God of all creation.

So, what are some images which are being worshiped in the gatherings of what are called “church” in your country today? In America a big one is entertainment, via movies, games, videos, music, humor, cartoons, stage productions, books, stories, drama, fiction, social media, the news media, and the like. And smart phones (pocket computers) are what are giving people 24 hour a day access to these modes of entertainment, so these smart phones/computers are becoming people’s gods they worship, too.

And then continuing with Romans 1:24-25, we read, “Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.” And this is absolutely happening in America today, too, where politicians and famous people and movie actors and sports heroes and some preachers and book authors are being worshiped in place of worship of God. And they are exchanging the truth for a lie, absolutely!

And this is why so many people in America who profess faith in Jesus Christ are flocking to these institutional market-driven mega “churches,” for there they mostly have their itching ears tickled with feel-good messages which feed the lusts of the flesh and which do not honor God as the holy God that he is. For most of what is being called “church” here in America is not the body of Christ, but they are businesses of men which are appealing to the flesh of humans in order to draw large crowds of people of the world into their gatherings.

And so they are adapting those gatherings to the ways of the world and they are mostly not being led of the Spirit of God. For marketing books and schemes and business plans and goals and missions are replacing the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. So these “churches” are mostly following humanistic philosophy, psychology, and worldly methods to attract the people of the world to their gatherings. And so they are also altering the character of God/Jesus and the message of the gospel to make God/Jesus and the gospel message more acceptable and appealing to human flesh.

And so what this is resulting in is what is described for us in the rest of Romans 1, beginning with verse 26 thru verse 32. And here it talks about how God then gave them up to dishonorable passions, and to homosexuality, adultery, sexual immorality, all manner of evil, malice, wickedness, deceit, gossip, slander, pride, disobedience, murder, foolishness, and heartlessness, etc. For, “though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them” (verse 32). Sadly true.

So, what does all that result in? The Scriptures teach us that if we walk (in conduct, in practice) in sin, and not in righteousness, and not in obedience to our Lord, that we will not inherit eternal life with God. We will not enter God’s heavenly kingdom regardless of what our lips have professed. But if we walk (in conduct, in practice) according to the Spirit, in walks of obedience to our Lord, in righteousness and in holiness, and not in sin, then we have the hope of eternal life, provided we continue in those walks of faith. So, worship God/Jesus only and not the things of the flesh.

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.

How Yeshua kept Seder and was crucified the next day on Passover

From Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship The Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship 04/09/16 Nisan 1st , 5776

Torah Portion #27: Tazria (החדש” (She conceives” Torah ~ Lev. 12:1-13:59︱Prophets ~ 2 Kings 4:42-5:19︱New Covenant ~ Matt. 8:1-4; Acts 22:14-16

Yeshua’s Last Passover

The Passover is to be celebrated at the close of Nisan 14th, which is in March or April (Ex. 12:128 & Lev. 23:47). All throughout the Bible we find Passover being celebrated, including by Yeshua and His disciples.

Upon reading about Yeshua’s last Passover, it seems as if Matthew 26:17, Mark 14:12, and Luke 22:78 are saying that the Last Supper was a Passover Seder, eaten at the end of Nisan 14th.

But John 13:12 & 18:28 indicates that the Last Supper was not the Seder because it was eaten a night earlier, at the beginning of Nisan 14th. To find the answer we need to look closely at the Gospels and a Galilean Jewish tradition.

The Gospels and Yeshua’s last Passover

Matthew 26:35 and Mark 14:2 both state that the leaders who conspired to have Yeshua put to death did not want His death to occur “during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people” ESV.

Luke 22:1516 “(15) And He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. (16) For I tell you, I will never eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” TLV

After the last lamb was sacrificed on the evening of 14th (before the Seder) the High Priest would say “it is finished.” John 19:30 “When Yeshua tasted the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” TLV

The Galilean Jewish Tradition for Passover

The Mishnah records that Galilean Jews had a different tradition than the Judean Jews for celebrating Passover. This Galilean tradition is very important for understanding the Gospels telling of Yeshua’s “Last Supper” with His disciples. For the Galilean Jews, Nisan 13th was preparation day for Passover, not the Nisan 14th. All preparation for the Feast was finished by the start of Nisan 14th. Matthew 26:2 and Mark 14:1 could be referring to this tradition when it says in “two days is the Passover” (Nisan 13th).

Then the celebration of the Passover started at the beginning of Nisan 14th with a traditional “Last Supper” before the start of the Fast Of The Firstborn (Ta'anit Bechorot). This fast was a tradition for all firstborn males in order to remember the tenth plague that came upon Egypt in the book of Exodus. The fast was to be broken with the Passover Seder at the close of Nisan 14th.

Yeshua’s Last Supper

Yeshua was the firstborn of Mary and Joseph. Both Yeshua and the disciples were Galilean Jews. Therefore they followed the tradition to prepare for Passover on Nisan 13th and keep the Fast Of The Firstborn with a “Last Supper” at the start of Nisan 14th. Prayer is a very important part of fasting, so after the Last Supper, Yeshua and the disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray.

Therefore Yeshua's Last Supper was a traditional way that He started the Passover celebration each year, not the Seder as we know it today. That year Yeshua used the traditional Last Supper to show His disciples a new revelation about Him known today as the Lord’s Supper or Communion (Matt. 26:2628; Mark 14:2224; Luke 22:1920; 1 Cor. 11:2325).

Today, Judaism has placed the Galilean last supper meal within the Seder, not the night before. But some in Judaism still keep this traditional way of starting the Passover with a last supper meal the night before the Seder and then the fast.

In Closing Chronological order of the Last Supper and Crucifixion

(1.) On Nisan 13th, Yeshua and His disciples kept the Galilean preparation day for the Passover.

(2.) At sunset, the start of Nisan 14th, Yeshua and the disciples had the traditional Galilean “Last Supper” before the start of the traditional “Fast Of The Firstborn”.

(3.) The next afternoon, still on Nisan 14th, Yeshua was crucified at the exact time that the lambs was being sacrificed for the Passover Seder.

(4.) At sunset, the start of Nisan 15th when the Passover Seder was to be eaten, Yeshua (sinless and unleavened) was placed in the tomb at the start of the week long Feast of Unleavened Bread (Passover), fulfilling these Feasts.

True Spiritual Warfare

After much thought and research, I have come to the conclusion that the definition of spiritual warfare that involves "binding the devil", casting out of demons, dealing with "territorial spirits", and generational curses, is not what true spiritual warfare actually is.

Seeing that the devil is still free to wander throughout the earth and to organise his demons, I wonder after all the times he has been "bound", who keeps setting him free again? Or is the idea of Christian believers binding the devil not found anywhere in Scripture? The teaching that any believer can cast out demons has caused a lot of damage to lives, especially when novices still wet behind the ears have tried it on unsuspecting people who may not have been demonized at all. There are only two principalities mentioned, both in the book of Daniel - the Prince of Persia, and the Prince of Egypt. There is no mention of any other principalities ruling over various areas of the world. Therefore the teaching about territorial demons is just fantasy. There is no reference in Scripture about generational curses affecting born again Christians. When a person receives Christ he becomes a new creature and all the old things have passed away and all things become new. This means that any curse that might have been there when the person was unconverted has been eliminated through the new birth.

So what is true spiritual warfare? In reality it is the fight against the powers of darkness that seeks to stand in the way of sinners coming to Christ. The principal weapon is the sword of the Spirit, which is the preaching of the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel involves Christ and Him crucified to take away the sin of those who believe on Him by faith - that Jesus has become their substitute for sin, setting them free from the wrath of God and the eternal penalty for sin.

We see in Ephesians 6 that there is spiritual armour to defend us against the powers of darkness seeing to derail the preaching of the Gospel:
The belt of truth - contained in the sound doctrine in the Bible.
The breastplate of righteousness - the free gift of righteousness conferred by God to every believer in Christ, along with the Holy Spirit to enable the believe to demonstrate that righteousness in holy living.
The feet shod with the Gospel of peace.
The helmet of salvation which enables every believer to have the mind of Christ.
The shield of faith that blocks the fiery darts thrown at us by the powers of darkness.

The sword of the Spirit is our offensive weapon against the powers of darkness, and it involves the preaching of the Gospel which Paul says is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes it. Preaching Christ and Him crucified confirms that the devil is a defeated foe and he hates the preaching of the Gospel and does all he can to suppress it. This is why in most of our mega churches and the conferences of the prosperity preachers the Gospel is never preached, and anyone who tries to stand up in their meetings and tell people about Christ and Him crucified are often accused of having a demon and promptly bundled out by security.

So, the outcome of most of the attempts of spiritual warfare outside of the preaching of the Gospel fail because they consist in sound and fury but results in the steam going out through the whistle and the devil and his demons just stand there and laugh. But when the Gospel is preached and people start coming to Christ, then that wipes the smile off his face and he starts to tremble knowing that his time is short.

Solid State Battery (are we in the tribulation?)

Toyota is currently not building an EV vehicle, only hybrids. That is all going to change by 2025. They are building a factory in Ky to make EV cars and they are building a mega factory in NC that will make batteries. But there is no disclosure on what battery they will build.

There has to be a reason why Toyota is not building an EV and I think it is because they do not want to use lithium because they are fighting over a limited supply.

Right now we have massive problems to provide transportation and housing for people. This is all supposed to be resolved by the year 2029 or 2030. The year 2029 is the 2,000-year anniversary of the Church from the day of Pentecost in the year 29. If Jesus was born in 5 BC. So if there is a tribulation between the church age and the kingdom age, where is it?

Right now Toyota sells a hybrid RAV4 for around $31,000 but the dealership jacks the price up to $41,000. I am advising people to wait until they quit ripping people off before they buy their next car. Maybe they need to sell them factory direct like Tesla does to prevent the dealers from jacking up the prices the way they do.

By 2030 you should be able to buy a house for $15,000 and a car for $15,000. Average wages if people get their education will be around $60,000 a year. So housing and transportation will be very affordable. Not fancy but practical and affordable. The new battery factory in NC will pay a wage of $60,000 compared to the average wage in that area of around $37,000.

Federal judge suspends FDA's approval of abortion pill

I found this article: A federal judge suspends FDA's longtime approval of an abortion pill, but gives the government 7 days to appeal
fascinating on legal (not ideological) grounds.

The judge suspended FDA approval:

The FDA approved mifepristone more than 20 years ago to be used in combination with a second drug, misoprostol, to terminate pregnancies at up to 10 weeks. Over half of U.S. abortions are done by medication abortion, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a research group that supports abortion rights. The pills have become increasingly significant in the fights over abortion access that have ensued since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

A coalition of anti-abortion groups, collectively called the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, sued in November challenging the process through which the FDA evaluated and approved mifepristone. They argue that the government did not adequately assess the drug’s safety and should not have made it accessible via telehealth during the pandemic.
What fascinates me is they are saying that the FDA did not adequately investigate mifepristone before approving it twenty years ago. Since then there has been twenty years of evidence worldwide as to the drug's safety to the pregnant woman ingesting it. I am pretty sure that telehealth has also been used in its prescribing it over some of those twenty years.

And so to say that there is insufficient evidence to have approved it--on those grounds--is dishonest and idiotic.

I am completely supportive of those who want to end abortion because they they believe that life begins at conception. They are fighting a moral issue on their deeply felt religious beliefs.

But all this nonsense about a drug that's been used worldwide for 20 years being insufficiently investigated is a huge heap of baloney.

Why is Kid Rock shooting Bud Light cans?

The country-rock performer is among those apparently triggered by the beer giant's decision to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender activist and influencer.

This one's a toss up... Dylan Mulvaney vs. Kid Rock...I don't know whose side I should be taking...

On one hand,
You have a phony partisan influencer, who's annoying, and desperately seeks attention

On the other hand,
You have a phony partisan influencer, who's annoying, and desperately seeks atten............

Oh wait, never mind, they're both equally obnoxious and attention-seeking.

All that aside, let's all be honest here, Bud Light's shameless attempt at "rainbow capitalism" is only like... the 4th or 5th worst thing about their product. So I would question Kid Rock on this one... the fact that they've been making low-ABV swill that smells like urine and selling it to you for 20 years was acceptable, but this is the thing that makes you not like Bud Light? And to the makers of Bud Light, I would ask... could you really not find any better transgender role model or figurehead than an obnoxious person like Dylan Mulvaney?

Help with John 7:39

Some folks on CF believe the Holy Spirit indwelled believers in the Old Covenant.

But Jesus said...

37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
38 The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”
39 But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Yet we read...

your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.
14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth.
15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.

While I firmly believe that in Jesus we have the promised indwelling to come with a New Covenant, promised through Jeremiah (32:40), the nature of this New Covenant indwelling has to be significantly different than what John received.

Thoughts on this appreciated.

Former Michigan House speaker admits he took bribes as head of state’s medical marijuana licensing board

The former head of Michigan’s medical marijuana licensing board and former state House speaker admitted to taking more than $110,000 in bribes to help businesses get medical marijuana licenses, according to a plea agreement filed in federal court.

Rick Johnson, 70, agreed to plead guilty to the felony charge of accepting a bribe, admitting he acted “corruptly,” according to the agreement.

Johnson, a Republican, served as the chair of the licensing board from 2017 to 2019 and previously served as the state House speaker from 2001 to 2004, according to state records.

The pearl…..

Matthew 13:46 (NASB20)
and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold everything that he had and bought it.

Luke 10:42 (NASB20)
but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The pearl being the thing that Mary found…. But what is it that is being called this pearl that if found, is worth all things…?
It is the will to obedience, being that thing of great value that is worth all to be in possession of…. If so, how then did this will to obedience manifest itself in Mary’s life….? Scripture says; ‘Mary chose to set at Jesus’s feet and learn of Him’, this will to obedience that Mary chose is the same will we are all called to, it being the pearl that is worth all…. Though it is true this pearl produces fruit of its own, no fruit that is true fruit, will grow without it, for one will only find oneself a debater of scriptural words, but Christ not being formed in one’s innermost being….
So what therefore is this sitting at Jesus’s feet to do that Christ might be formed in one..?
It is a turning from self-hood, that being in other words; a resignation to God in one’s innermost being… For repentance is turning from something to something, Christian repentance, is a turning from self-hood to Christ, which in truth is a turning from the carnal to the spiritual by the faith of the heart…. Though one cannot sit at Jesus’s feet in the physical anymore, one can, should, and must sit at Jesus’s feet in the heart….But how and what is meant by sitting at Jesus’s feet in the heart…?
It is recognizing and embracing what the salvation of Christ consists of, it is an embracing of it, a grabbing onto it and a holding fast to it, which all transpires in one’s innermost being where one’s own-will meets Jesus… There, it is a reckoning of own will dead in the heart of heart’s, that Christ might live His will to righteousness in one’s life…
Because Jesus did die, and the believing soul with Him, that that believing soul might walk in newness of life by the faith produced by the pearl….
To the pearl and the fruit thereof, Not me
Isaiah 41:10 and Deuteronomy 31:6
So there are a great number of verses in the bible (Isaiah 41:10, Deuteronomy 31:6, Jeremiah 29:11, etc) that talk about GODs love for us, and that he is fighting for us and that we aught not be be discouraged as he fights for us and goes before us keeping us safe from harm etc
However if our LORD fights so hard for us and will keep us from harm, how come most of the apostles are believed to have been executed for their preaching the Gospel?
Trump v Nixon
I'm not old enough to know this but after all that stuff went down with Nixon, Im Curious what happened with his supporters?
Did they see the light? Did they say they were wrong for supporting him or did they just clam up? How long did it take?
It seems now that there was wide agreement on Nixon impropriety. But I could be wrong: are there people who still think he was a good president?
Do you think America's (communal) opinion of Trump would ever end up looking like Nixon?
New Indian textbooks purged of nation’s Muslim history
The Taj Mahal is one of India’s most iconic sites. But this year, millions of students across India won’t delve into the Mughal Empire that constructed it.
Instead, Indian students have new textbooks that have been purged of details on the nation’s Muslim history, its caste discrimination and more, in what critics say warps the country’s rich history in an attempt to further Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist agenda.
The textbooks omit references to the 2002 riots in the Indian state of Gujarat, where hundreds of Indian-Muslims were killed while Modi was the state’s leader. Details on India’s caste system, caste discrimination and minority communities are missing.
Passages that connected Hindu extremism to independence leader Mohandas K. Gandhi’s assassination were pruned as well, such as the 12th grade political science textbook line: Gandhi’s “steadfast pursuit of Hindu-Muslim unity provoked Hindu extremists so much that they made several attempts to assassinate [him].”
“This is actually an intensification of something that’s been happening. It is a way of ‘Hindu-izing’ South Asian history and ignoring all other kinds of diverse plural histories that have existed,” he said.
BJP leaders are applauding the move, tweeting that it was “a great decision,” and referring to the prior content on India’s Mughal Empire as a “false history.”
“At the heart of the pattern is a fear that history-learning by students will produce rational or progressive citizens,” Chattopadhyaya said. “Both the U.S. and India have pretty complex, very challenging histories. The job as a historian or history teacher is to convey the complexity and the challenges to the student, and I think the right in the U.S. and the right in India do not want critical-thinking, rational-thinking, progressive students, because that is not something they think is valuable to a right wing agenda.”
Good Friday - beliefs.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.
Good Friday is a day of fasting within the Catholic Church. Traditionally, there is no Mass and no celebration of the Eucharist on Good Friday. A liturgy may still be performed and communion, if taken, comes from hosts consecrated on Holy Thursday. Baptism, penance, and anointing of the sick may be performed, but only in unusual circumstances.
The liturgy of Good Friday consists of the reading of the Gospel Passion narrative, the adoration of the cross, and Communion. In the 17th century, following an earthquake in Peru, the Three Hour Service, a prayerful meditation on Jesus’ “Seven Last Words on the Cross,” was introduced to the Catholic liturgy by the Jesuits.
That's what Bing search has to say about Good Friday, it is a rather good summary of Catholic liturgical practise and the links flesh out some details. But what does this all mean? Why do we commemorate Good Friday?
Here's the story. Each part has theological significance. See if you can think of the significance of each part of the story. If you can then you'll know why Catholics commemorate Good Friday.
Good Friday is the day on which Catholics commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Catholics are joined by almost all other Christians in solemn commemoration on this day. It is also a legal holiday around much of the world.
According to the gospels, Jesus was betrayed by Judas on the night of the Last Supper, commemorated on Holy Thursday. The morning following Christ's arrest, he was brought before Annas, a powerful Jewish cleric. Annas condemned Jesus for blasphemy for refusing to repudiate Annas' words that He was the Son of God. From there, Jesus was sent to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of the province.
Pontius Pilate questioned Jesus but found no reason to condemn Him. Instead, he suggested Jewish leaders deal with Jesus according to their own law. But under Roman law, they could not execute Jesus, so they appealed to Pilate to issue the order to kill Jesus.
Pilate appealed to King Herod, who found no guilt in Jesus and sent Him back to Pilate once again. Pilate declared Jesus to be innocent, and washed his hands to show that he wanted nothing to do with Jesus, but the crowds were enraged. To prevent a riot and to protect his station, Pilate reluctantly agreed to execute Jesus and sentenced him to crucifixion. Jesus was convicted of proclaiming himself to be the King of the Jews.
Before his execution, Jesus was flogged, which was a customary practice intended to weaken a victim before crucifixion. Crucifixion was an especially painful method of execution and was perfected by the Romans as such. It was reserved for the worst criminals, and generally Roman citizens, women, and soldiers were exempt in most cases.
During his flogging, the soldiers tormented Jesus, crowning Him with thorns and ridicule.
Following his flogging, Jesus was compelled to carry his cross to the place of His execution, at Calvary. During his walk to the site of His execution, Jesus fell three times and the Roman guards randomly selected Simon, a Cyrene, to help Jesus.
After arrival at Calvary, Jesus was nailed to the cross and crucified between two thieves. One of the thieves repented of his sins and accepted Christ while on the cross beside Him. A titulus, or sign, was posted above Christ to indicate His supposed crime. The titulus read, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." It is commonly abbreviated in Latin as "INRI" (Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum).
During Christ's last few hours on the cross, darkness fell over the whole land. Jesus was given a sponge with sour wine mixed with gall, a weak, bitter painkiller often given to crucified victims.
Reactions: The Liturgist
Clarence Thomas and the Billionaire
It's time for Congress to hold the USSC accountable for its apparent inability to hold justices accountable for their unethical behavior.
IN LATE JUNE 2019, right after the U.S. Supreme Court released its final opinion of the term, Justice Clarence Thomas boarded a large private jet headed to Indonesia. He and his wife were going on vacation: nine days of island-hopping in a volcanic archipelago on a superyacht staffed by a coterie of attendants and a private chef.
If Thomas had chartered the plane and the 162-foot yacht himself, the total cost of the trip could have exceeded $500,000. Fortunately for him, that wasn’t necessary: He was on vacation with real estate magnate and Republican megadonor Harlan Crow, who owned the jet — and the yacht, too.
For more than two decades, Thomas has accepted luxury trips virtually every year from the Dallas businessman without disclosing them, documents and interviews show. A public servant who has a salary of $285,000, he has vacationed on Crow’s superyacht around the globe. He flies on Crow’s Bombardier Global 5000 jet. He has gone with Crow to the Bohemian Grove, the exclusive California all-male retreat, and to Crow’s sprawling ranch in East Texas. And Thomas typically spends about a week every summer at Crow’s private resort in the Adirondacks.
It appears Sen Durbin, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, may call for hearings based:
“The highest court in the land shouldn’t have the lowest ethical standards. Today’s Pro Publica report reveals that Justice Thomas has for years accepted luxury travel on private yachts and jets and a litany of other gifts that he failed to disclose. This behavior is simply inconsistent with the ethical standards the American people expect of any public servant, let alone a Justice on the Supreme Court.
“Today’s report demonstrates, yet again, that Supreme Court Justices must be held to an enforceable code of conduct, just like every other federal judge. The Pro Publica report is a call to action, and the Senate Judiciary Committee will act.”
Hello!!
Keep Walking with the Lord
Video Talk
Matthew 24:3-14 ESV
“As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered them, ‘See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“’Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.’”
We are living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ, our Lord. And many of these things mentioned here are presently taking place and are increasing. And deception abounds. And many indeed are being led astray by clever enchanters who are cunning and crafty in their deceitful scheming, and who are experts at mind manipulation and at hidden and subliminal messages buried inside what might have the appearance of truth.
And these liars and deceivers are government heads, CEOs of corporations, medical professionals, heads of church denominations, and pastors of church congregations (or of what is falsely being called “church”). And they are the news media, social media, the music industry, the movie industry, and the sports industry. And they are teachers and authors and writers of devotions and singers, etc. Not all are liars, but many or most appear to be.
Now I am not personally aware of anyone who has said literally, “I am the Christ.” I am not saying no one has, only that I am not aware of it. BUT.. many have said it, without actually saying it, by their actions and by the words they speak when they take the place of Jesus Christ in the hearts of the people, and when they demand the kind of loyalty and devotion to themselves only meant for God alone, and when they want us to treat their words as though they are God’s words to us, when they may not be at all.
And regarding wars, I believe my nation (the USA) has been at war with someone all the time I have been alive, and it could be that they have been in continuous wars ever since the founding of our nation. I think I heard that somewhere, and they listed all the wars, too. And our nation (government and military) are in so many other countries in this world creating wars with them, so it does seem that wars are increasing (in view of Revelation 13).
And Christians throughout the world are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ and for their testimonies for Jesus Christ and for his gospel. And many are running for their lives, and many are being put to death because they believe in Jesus Christ. And here in America that kind of persecution is not the norm (standard). But Christians who take seriously the Scriptures and their walks of faith in holiness and in obedience to the Lord, and who are sharing the truth of the gospel in opposition to the lies, they are being persecuted – rejected, cast aside, ridiculed, falsely accused, and abandoned.
And many who profess faith in Jesus Christ have fallen away, or else they never came to true faith in Jesus Christ to begin with. And many of them are hating others who profess faith in Jesus Christ because the others are living holy lives, pleasing to God, and they are walking in obedience to his commands, and they are spreading the truth of the gospel, and they are refuting the lies, exposing the fruitless deeds of darkness for what they are.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this is the truth of the true gospel message. For we aren’t saved just once and now we are good to go to heaven. We are saved (past), we are being saved (present active), and we will be saved (future) when Jesus Christ returns, which is when our salvation will be complete. But this depends on us enduring to the end and us walking in holiness and in righteousness and in obedience to our Lord and not in sin, and not in defiance of our Lord and of his commands.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Amen!
For Our Nation
An Original Work / September 11, 2012
Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
ARE YOU DENYING WHAT 2 TIM 2:12
2 Tim 2:12 reads , If we ENDURE , we will REIGN together , if we DENY ( Him ) , He also will DENY us , verse 13 , If we are DISBELIEVERS that One remains faithful , He is not able to DENY Himself .
In verse 15 we have to present yourself ACCEPTED BY God , a workman HAVING no cause for SHAME rightly dividing the WORD of truth '
Verse 17 mentioned by name , Hymenaeus and Philetus , v 18 who missed the mark concerning the TRUTH , saying the RESURRECTION has already HAPPENNED .
Reading 2 Thess 2:2 letters supposedly written by Paul saying that THE DAY of the Lord or that the COMING / PAROUSIA is close at hand .
I believe that the word DENYING is to deny what is called in Rom 16:25 Preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING to the REVELATION of the MYSTERY .
And as verse 16 says , having made known to ALL Gentiles for OBEDIENCE of FAITH .
In the hands of Satan
In the hands of Satan example one...
The first example I have of the life in the hands of the Satan is that of the William "Action" Jackson. When the boys of the devil got a hold of him they...
1. Stripped him naked tying his wrists and feet
2. Put a meat hook in his rectum to hoist him
3. Smashed his kneecaps with a bat and broke his ribs
4. Shot him with a gun and fried him with a wet cattle prod
5. Used water on him to get a better charge until he was screaming
6. Removed his private parts with a blow torch
7. Ferociously beaten with brass knuckles, stabbed over 113 times with ice picks, and had his throat cut with bayonets.
To quote an informant, ‘Jackson was hung up on that meathook,’ said Torello. ‘He was so heavy he bent it. He was on that thing three days before he croaked.’ Bucceri began to giggle, ‘Jackson, you shoulda seen the guy Like an elephant, he was, and when Jimmy hit him in the with that electric prod ...’ Torello interrupted excitedly. ‘He was floppin’ around on that hook, Jackie. We tossed water on him to give the prod a better charge, and he's screamin’ . . .’“
Samuel ‘Mad Sam’ DeStefano was said to have participated in this murder. Throughout his blood-soaked career, Mad Sam DeStefano was well-known for his violent antics. He even reportedly had a torture chamber in his sound-proofed basement along with a collection of tools with which he maimed his victims. His favorite was an ice pick. One informant who was close to DeStefano described him as a highly emotional, temperamental individual, extremely egotistical and concerned with his personal appearance. The walls of his home were lined with mirrors and as DeStefano talked to people, he constantly watched his reflection in the mirrors as he walked across the room. He was described as being of such a temperament that he could be crying at one moment and laughing the very next. One of his associates claimed to have once spotted DeStefano rolling on the floor, once again foaming at the mouth, and shouting to Satan, “I’m your servant; command me!”
