For the past year I've been suffering from binge eating. It's my only means of escaping from my problems. Right now I'm about to get me some takeout

In Gen we find the word GOD // ELOHIM an noun , and GOD is in then PLURAL , and is in the ABOLUTE .

There are a good number of Televised church services hosted by pastors who teach that God wants Christians to be wealthy in earthly goods. Do you believe that God wants you to be wealthy in earthly goods?

I've not thought of the other planets in this way.

A white racist got 8 years in prison just for hurling insults at a black man. If the races were reversed , there would be no jail time whatsoever. I don't condone what this guy did, but 8 years ?????!!!!

So if someone feels intimidated, they could send someone to prison even though there was nothing physical ?

There is an old saying I learned as a kid,

"sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never hurt me".

This guy should have gotten a fine and a month in jail,, that's it, not 8 years smh.

I am sick of them!

No matter who they intend to insult. That phrase with the F bomb. What does it even mean? A sexual act? No. Those who use the phrase so often don't even know. It just seems to be a way of saying the old , "Down with". Remember that from the 60's? Funny, now "Down with" is positive., "I am down with that!" I am convinced that use of the F bomb is simply a stupid and lazy way to express anything.

I am for more decency and clarity in communication. Sure, we have freedom to be obscene, mean and rude. But we also have a choice to be decent, kind and polite. That is the kind of society I would rather live in. Wouldn't you?

I am looking for thoughts or views on raising hands during praise.

I am 65 and was saved and baptised at 11. In the churches I have previously attended, we just sat still and listened. In the last church I attended, we did not even stand to sing. I moved and began attending a local church that has some pentecostal roots. I love the church. It is bible based and I feel like I am at a church that is alive and is full of joy and hope. I am a work in progress though. I study the bible daily and pray. I often raise my arms in prayer or praise at home. I am trying to look at myself and really practice introspection and reach out and feel the Holy Spirit. However, after so many years of churches that do not raise hands, I was more hesitant at church. I have been there 2 months and wanted to make sure i was raising my arms for the right reasons -not just to fit in. Sunday the pastor said that he knows who is raising hands and who is hot and if we are not doing so at church he knew that we were not glorifying the Lord during the week. Immediately, I fel judged. H6wever, the Bible does say to raise hands in praise. Thoughts?

what does vacant, swept, & put in order mean in this Scripture?

I don't know if I will get an answer from this post but I was hoping a spiritual leader or someone who is closer to God and can maybe get some answers and can help me because I am really confused and sometimes scared about this and what is happening.

I don't even know where to start but I guess I am always in my head talking to myself. Not in a weird way but I'm just really quiet on the outside but have just thoughts about everything in my head. I also have strong emotions or emotional reactions and so I feel emotions or feelings around me intensely. I found out from someone that that is because I have a lot of empathy and that just makes me feel stuff and sometimes more intensely than others.

Where I am going with this is that i have been having these things happen like I will feel very anxious and feel like something really bad is going to happen and something doesn't feel right. I start getting dizzy and start feeling my body shake and get weak. I also dry heave and can't control my breathing and with all of this and with the bad feelings I cry uncontrollably which is probably my reaction to everything. I usually have a specific thing in my head where I feel this bad thing is gonna happen to when this happens and it never leaves me until I am exhausted enough to fall asleep and no longer feel it. After a few days from this happening something bad does indeed go wrong and there is so much conflict and something bad does happen. It has happened 4 times now so I know it isn't a coincidence.


I also have these times where in my mind there is this thought or wanting to hear something like for example I felt or it was like I wanted to hear from the radio that there was breaking news and that there was a disaster that has happened. I felt that for a few weeks and then in my city one of the main streets that is really busy had a gas explosion and broke the entire road. When I heard that it was like that feeling went away and I felt like it was that that I was waiting for. Another time was when I had that same feeling but I was waiting to hear that an accident had happened. One of my sister's high school friend passed away and when I heard that that feeling went away.


Me saying it like this seems pretty clear that they are signs and messages and stuff but I just need guidance and someone who can help me understand and I guess validate things. I sometimes feel like I'm crazy so I don't talk to people about it when I feel something towards them but I'm scared I'm not delivering God's message if he is using me.

I feel like because I'm so in my head and my emotions God is using them. I also have a feeling that God tries to tell me stuff but there's always just my own thought surrounding them and trying to make sense of them that I'm not focusing on the message and I'm getting distracted and so it's like he is trying to shake me by my shoulders to make me pay attention.


I pray about it and I feel like I get that out of it. I also get out of it that this is what I prayed for. I pray a lot that God uses me to help others and that he uses me as a vessel. But it still feels so weird and crazy to me.


I would just like some help if anyone can or anyone understands please.

The bible says if a woman commits adultery on her husband he’s free to divorce her is it the same the other way around ?

Why does God continually disappoint me through giving me false promises that never come to pass? This has been going on for quite a while now and I'm getting sick of getting my hopes up only to have them dashed sooner or later. Can anyone relate or give advice?

I found Two things which would Justify and Establish why Yeshuah would declare that the Greatest person Born of a Woman to be not as Great as the Least person in the Kingdom of Heaven.

1. a) because the Greatest person amongst us (I.e., the Father) is a Servant to everyone;
b) And Greater is the Father within us, than the Father which walks amongst us.

2. a) The entire Earth is located in the midst of the Shameyim, i.e., the Earth’s Atmosphere, which was established on Day Two, wherefore those which perceive themselves as being in Heaven are Greater than those which (merely) perceive themselves as being on Earth.
b) The Baptism of John, was it of Heaven or of Man? In like manner, the Birth of John, was it of Heaven or of a (Wo)man?

John 3:30-32
He must increase, but I must decrease.

He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he that comes from heaven is above all.

And what he has seen and heard, that (is what) he testifies, and No Man Receives his Testimony.

John did question his own Testimony concerning Yeshuah.

Evidence indicates that Eve did not Believe the report concerning her divine station, that Adam (to include his ribs) was created in the Likeness of Alohym, or else she could not have been enticed to do anything for the sake of being Like Alohym, yet her disbelief technically stemmed from the Bosom of Adam, indicating that the disbelief was actually Adam’s.

In like fashion, Yeshuah was also challenged by H’Shatan concerning his divine station as the Son of Alohym, however he knew who he was, and subsequently could not be lured by the tempter as Eve was concerning their divine status.

Yeshuah declared John to be Aliyahu, that is if you, (Luke or John) can Receive it, however if you (Luke or John) do not Receive what Yeshuah declared, then (to you, Luke and John) he (John) was not Aliyahu, to Luke he was someone who came in the Spirit of Aliyahu;

Why would John deny being Aliyahu? Yeshuah did instruct us to Deny ourselves, could John’s denial of himself possibly have prompted Yeshuah’s instruction? And or was this the Father’s way of transferring a double portion of his Spirit to Yeshuah? For they which (acknowledge who they are and what they) have, Receive More, and those which do not (acknowledge who they are, or what they) have, have that which they (indeed) have taken from them, and it is given to those which do have.

John knew that if he declared to be Aliyahu, that there would not be a cloak for that generation’s disbelief, and subsequently the entire Earth would have been struck with the curse of the great and dreadful day.

She also talks about the political origins of junk foods and low carb diets (she's probably been reading Marion Nestle's work on the subject: the livestock and agribusiness industries were critical in shifting the conversation away from whole foods and dietary patterns to isolated nutrients).

I cannot vote in your election though close relatives can. But it seems to me that this election is one of the most important ever. So what advice would you give my relatives as to the most important issues in this election?

From my European perspective, the following seems most pertinent. But I would be interested to learn what Americans think are the key issues:

1) POLITICAL PARTISANSHIP threatens to split the country and even provoke a civil war - much to the delight of America's rivals. So what candidate can best unite America and reconcile those on both sides? How can personality politics, abortion obsessions, lies about election fraud, and 'plan-demics' be put into proper perspective?

2) AMERICAN PROSPERITY AND POWER ARE UNEQUALLY SHARED - Your super-rich grows richer while those at the bottom struggle with high prices, debt, a lack of proper health care, and educational disparities. Social mobility continues to decline and various voices among the superrich are too loud while those of the people can hardly be heard. Seething resentment is dismissed as socialism but this just feeds the underlying discontent.

3) PUBLIC DEBT levels are at a record high and this is becoming unsustainable. The political culture seems to disallow the possibility of a balanced budget.

I have been reading in the Psalms the last few days, and I have been sharing what the Lord is teaching me through these psalms as lessons that can be applied to our lives today. And he has placed in my mind this morning a particular theme (message) which he wants me to convey, and so this may be a little different from the usual today, but we will see what the Lord has in mind for me to share today. For I am sensing he wants me to alter Psalms 18:1-3 to make it from the perspective of someone addicted to specific sin.

From the perspective of the sinfully addicted:


Now, please understand this is not me speaking about myself, but this is for illustrative purposes in showing how those whose god is the flesh are really thinking, which is reflective in their life choices and in their attitudes and in their beliefs, which is evidenced in their actions and in their behaviors. And slavery to sin is also under the control of Satan, so Satan is really the one being worshipped here in addition to the flesh and the lusts of the flesh and the pride of those who will not yield control of their lives over to God.

But sadly, this speaks of many professers of faith in Jesus Christ, too, who are professing faith in Jesus Christ with their lips but who are still living under the grip (stronghold) of Satan and of the flesh. And sexual immorality and sexual idolatry coupled together appears to be the number one sin which has a stranglehold on the lives of so many people on planet earth, including a large majority of those giving lip service to the Lord, many of whom are also pastors and elders in the gatherings of “the church.”

Yet, they will claim that they know love when they don’t really know love at all, for they habitually engage in what is the exact opposite of and on the other side of love, which is all about self and the lusts of the flesh and the pride of life and has nothing absolutely to do with real biblical love, the kind that we are to have for one another. For it is all about serving self, and not serving God, and not treating others with biblical love. For biblical love prefers what God prefers which is what is morally pure, honest, and faithful.

So, they don’t live in the real world, but they live in their own dream world, their world of fantasies, misconceptions, and deceptions. And that is where they dwell, not with God. And that is what controls their lives, not God. And what they call “love” is really the opposite of love, for it is selfishness, impurity, dishonesty, hatred, evil, maliciousness, trickery and deceit, etc. For these “lovers” are lovers of self, and not of God, who are the self-indulgent, the idolatrous, and the adulterous who live in rebellion against the Lord.

So the person looking at both sides of love and life is disillusioned with life and love, and so it would appear that he is experimenting with the “other side” to try to satisfy what he feels is lacking only to come to the realization (or not) that he doesn’t really know life or love at all. For all he recalls is the fantasy of what he thought was life and love, but it wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. And in his search for love, he suppressed the truth of God by his evil deeds and by him saying “NO” to God over and again and again.

And this is an extremely sad and grievous situation that so many professers of faith in Jesus Christ are finding themselves in today. Yet they are totally responsible and answerable to God for what they do, as we all are, make no mistake. But “the church” has played a huge role in this situation skyrocketing as it has because so much of today’s “church” is altering the gospel message to make it more palatable to human flesh. And so their altered gospel is granting “believers” permission to keep living in their sin.

So, all of this is completely backwards of what it is supposed to be, which is why the Lord had me temporarily alter this passage of Scripture in Psalms 18 to illustrate the “other side” of what so many are calling “love” these days. But they don’t really know love at all, because what has been described here is the opposite, i.e. the other side of love, which is not love, but which is selfishness and self-indulgence and godlessness and hate. For idolatry and adultery and sexual immorality are not love, not even close!

And there are many married couples here in America where one spouse or the other (or both), usually the men, but not always, is living in this sexual idolatry and adultery, and perhaps for a very long time. And so their spouses pay the consequences, whether or not they are aware of what is going on, for they are not the “beloved”, but the adulterer is his own “beloved,” or his (or her) sexual addiction (idol) is his “beloved,” instead. And so the faithful spouse gets the “short end of the stick,” so to speak. And that’s not right!

But there is a way out of sinful addiction. Jesus Christ died on that cross so that we can be crucified with him in death to sin and raised with him to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves (addicts) to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And so we are to no longer let sin reign (have control) in our mortal bodies, to where we obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, and not obedience to our Lord, it will lead to death, not to life eternal with God (Romans 6:1-23). So we need to take this to heart.

So the way out of slavery (addiction) to sin is via us bowing the knee to the Lord in humble surrender and submission to him as Lord (Owner-Master) of our lives. We must choose to let go of our sin and to let God take control in our lives, and then daily by the Spirit we must say “NO!” to sin and “YES!” to God. And we must leave all those sinful practices behind us and we must now follow our Lord in obedience to his commands in living in moral purity, honesty, faithfulness, and godliness – all in the strength and power of God.

One thing I struggled with about Christianity is the statement that the Bible is “the infallible Word of God.” To me, the Holy Trinity is pure and perfect, yet any message passed on through human beings is bound to be flawed.

Any work done through people is bound to be contaminated by human errors. I only have to look at my own personal history to clearly see that everyone of us makes errors. So the idea that I should take the Bible word for word as the infallible Word of God doesn’t make sense to me.

How do you see this? And more in general, how do I talk to Christians who take the Bible word for word literally, and who see any idea that there may be little flaws in there as blasphemous? Any feedback appreciated. And the message of Christianity is still the best message out there. God bless!

Stock buybacks! Helping Americans?

Well helping rich Americans. Yes they could be giving that money to employees, they could be managing prices better. But nope.
Why?

GM announces record $10 billion stock buyback—more than it’s spending on UAW raises—as its electrification push stalls
Cigna does the same.
It seems any given week billions of dollars suddenly exist and get socked away in the dragon hordes instead of given to people who will spend it to survive.


Enriching stock holders is more important than customers or employees.

I want to say, first off, that by sacred scripture I mean the 73 canonical books in Catholic Bibles. I do not mean 66 books, or Jewish Tanakh, or a larger number of canonical books according to some other tradition.

When reading sacred scripture there are a number of ways one can approach the text. One is called "historical critical method" and it involves learning the nuances of the languages spoken and written at the time in which particular passages being read were written. It also means learning about the literary forms in use and identifying the form used in the passage under study. Further, it means attempting to discover the intended meaning of the author of the passage.

There is a great deal to be gained from this approach. Some may see it as "the right way" to read the sacred scriptures. But is it? Really?
