Trump Falls Behind Harris in Betting Market for First Time​

Traders and oddsmakers now give Kamala Harris better odds than Trump of winning the 2024 presidential election​

Former President Trump is no longer favored to beat Vice President Harris in the 2024 race for the White House, according to major betting markets tracked by FOX Business.

As of Monday morning, Harris surpassed Trump as the odds-on favorite to win the presidency on BetUS with 55% implied probability, marking the first time since the platform opened the market that the Democratic nominee took the lead.

Over the weekend, the two presidential contenders had been in a dead heat on the site.

Traders on prediction site PolyMarket also favored Harris on Monday, giving her a 51% chance of winning the race, compared to Trump's 46%. On PredictIt, where Harris has been leading Trump for weeks, bettors give Harris a 59% chance of winning, while Trump's odds fell to 43%.

"Not only is Harris now leading in the betting odds, but she is also leading in terms of the total number of wagers placed and total dollar volume bet so far, which is an impressive feat considering she only became the official nominee a week ago," BetUS director of public relations, Tim Williams, told FOX Business.

He added, "I personally wouldn’t have expected so much money to have been bet on Kamala so quickly, but here we are."

Williams went on to note it would appear that Harris is also attracting larger wagers than Trump, which in the sports betting world is often indicative of "sharp money," meaning more professional bettors.

Momentum for Harris continues to surge following President Biden's unprecedented decision to withdraw from the race last month.

A Wednesday poll from NPR, PBS and Marist found that Harris has a 3-point lead over Trump among registered voters, and a Thursday poll from Marquette Law School showed Harris has established a 4-point lead over the former president.

I am curious of your position. Many Christians would argue that God gives us free will, and that without free will, we would be mindless robots, and that is not a true expression of love.

So when we go to eternal Heaven, here on the new Earth, after the battle of Armageddon and after the great throne judgement, will we have the free will to sin or do evil?

This question seems absurd, but I have heard only two answers.

1) We will not want to sin, because we will have renewed bodies free of our fleshly desires.
Not wanting to sin, doesn't mean we won't be able to sin.... does it?

2) There will be no choice to sin, like a buffet of good things to eat, but no bad things.
This seems odd, as we know that before Adam sinned in the Garden, Lucifer had already sinned against God in Heaven.

She claims that from Day one she will tackle inflation - why has she not done that in the last 3 and a half years?

I have been a Christian since 2006, and in most of those years, Christians I spoke to would staunchly rebuke the idea that God created evil. They would say evil is simply a result of our human sinful choices. But that's not what the Bible clearly states...

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." Isaiah 45:7

Many Christians will use James as a rebuke, where he states God never tempts anyone, but tempting someone to sin, and creating evil are not the same thing. God created everything that exists, evil exists, therefore God created evil... this even fits a logical argument. But why would a holy God create evil? For His Glory.

This is the difficult answer so many people struggle with: God created all there is for His glory, and nothing else.

“Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory” Isaiah. 43:6–7

Some Christians believe He created us because He loves us and wants a relationship with us, but that is not what the Bible teaches. Of course He does love us and wants a relationship with us, but that is not why we were created. All glory be to Him. His understanding is unsearchable (Isaiah 40).

I think we humans try to put our understanding of love and holiness on God, when we are sorely lacking in understanding. What say you?

I am a 32 year old father with roots planted in west Michigan. I am intrigued by the thought of engaging with other believers, not to become more religious, but to help increase my relationship with Jesus. He is the author of my faith and has begun a good work in me.

Christians should be looking at the actual numbers, in crime reports
from around the country. And NOT listening to emotional speeches about
skyrocketting crime rates, that come from political candidates or
radio talk show hosts.

I will be going to a doctor soon, I have never all of a sudden felt severe unbearable pain. I think I have some kind of infection.

My diet has been poor lately, whatever has caused this I will do whatever I can to prevent this or anything else. I would do anything not to feel this unbearable pain again.

Please take care of your health everybody, the warning signs may not come until its too late.

My family & I moved to a new house last month. We're loving it so far but on 2 different occasions, we've had someone knock on our door past midnight. The second time it happened a few nights ago, we decided to call the police just in case they were around somewhere. They came & checked for us, & there was no sign of anyone.

I put it out of my mind both times that it happened, but last night I had a nightmare about it. It was about a guy in a red t-shirt with a screwdriver trying to get in from the front door. I haven't had a nightmare in months, so it honestly scared me when it happened. I wanted to calm down by doing some Bible reading, so I decided to read Matthew 24 (I've taken an interest in biblical prophecy). I was reading through, & I was shocked to see verse 43 which was said by Jesus Christ:

But understand this: If the owner of a house had known when the robber was coming, he would have watched. He would not have allowed his house to have been broken into. (KJV)

I just don't know what to make of it, if anything at all. I 100% could be crazy about this happening, & I'm open to that possibility. I'm just looking for any kind of clarity on this.

I actually understand the upside of not putting your political views, platforms, policies out there....especially if Harris is unlikely to remember what they are on questioning...

The downside of course is that we are left to speculate what these two goofy stuffed suits believe.....and apparently, Walz is the fan of a Hitler fan-boy Muslim imam he regards as a "master teacher".

Many Christians freely accept that Adam was created from dust, into a fully mature adult human male, yet stop short of accepting that God created a fully mature universe for him to exist in, which includes light from stars millions of light years away. A God that is so weak He has to adhere to the very "rules of nature" that He created, is unworthy of admiration in my estimation, and certainly not the God of the Bible. What say you?

My nephew and wife are looking for a house to rent, they will look at one soon. Please pray they will find a home to rent soon for their family. I am praying the school district is good like the one their children have been going to. Mr Trump and Mr Musk opine on various topical issues. Some have commented in a quite discourteous way that (for example) Mr Trump’s understanding of certain technical aspects of geometry is below the standard of grade schoolers.


Is this criticism valid?

Hi everyone. I am new to thesee forums. I am taking a look around. Briefly, I am in search of a KJV 1611 Study Bible. Not Scofield, but maybe something from Holman. I would like the study notes to be influenced/inspired by God rather than influenced by Rothschilds or Jesuits.

Additionally, I am also on the lookout for a KJV Study Bible without the Thees and Thous type old English you find in the 1611 KJV. I think that I saw something that came out around 1016, but for the New Testament only. I've been doing some digging around of some other versions translated from the Textus Receptus as well. I am kind of open on this if it is from the Textus Receptus.

The debate between Protestants regarding predestination has persisted for nearly five centuries, with neither side conceding. Each believes they have scriptural backing. This dichotomy likely extends to Christian forums, where some argue for free will while others argue for the bondage of the will, each supported by numerous scriptural verses and interpretations. The question remains: Is it the final destination that is predestined, leaving the path open to free will choices, or is the path itself predestined, allowing no deviation by free will until the final destination is reached?

I doubt anyone on the left will care, though.
