  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Chosen

I am surprised no thread on this yet. It is quite popular and engaging though. It is based on the Gospel but also has fictional material to provide context.
I am enjoying it. The actor playing Jesus seems effective. I think it has helped me appreciate the Jewish situation and the threat Jesus presented, forcing leaders to pick a side.

For Those Who Are Angry With the Church…

For Those Who Are Angry With the Church…

On social media I seem to get an increasing number of links to blog posts, X-Twitter posts, articles and memes that rant and rage about the failures of Christians and the failure of the church. It could be hatchet jobs on famous Christians showing how they were secret Nazis, anti-Semites, white supremacists, homo or trans phobes, secret homosexuals, masturbators, misogynists, cat haters, alcoholics, teetotalers, people who once cut down a tree or hated their mother or loved their mother too much, frigid, sex obsessed, emotionally frozen and sexual abusers…

You get the idea. Christians–and especially white Christian men–are blamed for being, well, human.

Now I get it. There are a large number of people who have been wounded by their experience of the church. They’ve been ostracized by narrow minded, hypocritical Christians. They’ve been scandalized by the ignorance, incompetence, hypocrisy and stupidity of clergy. They’ve been angry at what seems deliberate obscurantism, legalism and judgmental attitudes. They’ve been angry at the corruption, sexual abuse, cover up and injustice shown by church leaders. They’ve been hurt by the greedy, fraudulent, scamming preachers. They’ve been disappointed by the hardness of heart, lack of compassion for the poor and the self serving church people and leaders.

So they not only leave the church, they go on a long, weary tirade and campaign against the church and Christians in general. I get that too. If one is wounded deeply, then it hurts and when one hurts, one howls in pain. I get all that.

What I don’t get is how immature and blinkered this is. Are grown up people really so lacking in both self awareness and realism about human nature and the way of the world? I can remember at the age of twelve I overheard my fundamentalist pastor engaged in a rip roaring, screaming match with the music director. “This church isn’t big enough for the two of us!” etc. etc.

Continued below.

Was Immanuel Fully God and Fully Man?

Matthew 1:
21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son,
and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

I was informed by one with advanced theological training
and a graduate seminar in Christology this statement:
"Christ is one Person, fully God and fully man
from the moment of His conception on Earth and into Heaven".

To accept this, I have to ignore what is known concerning
what He left behind to become a man.

John 17:5 And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself,
with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.

Only Peter, James, and John were allowed to see the fullness
of the glory of the Son of God, where they also heard the testimony
of The Father concerning His Son.

2 Peter 1:17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory
when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory:
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

At conception? Then what of the crucifixion,
the resurrection, the ascension?

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness,
by the resurrection from the dead.

This same source goes on to say:
"The one person of the enfleshed Word was perfected on the Cross".
Because of sin, the son of man had to be glorified at the cross,
to perfect obedience.

The Son of God insured that Christ would remain without sin by His Incarnation.
Only the Son of God, manifested in the man Christ Jesus could make this statement:

John 8:28 Then Jesus said to them, when you lift up the Son of Man,
then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself;
but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone,
for I always do those things that please Him.

The son of man had to be glorified at the cross, to perfect our Messiah as the man Jesus.

Hebrews 5:
8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience
by the things which He suffered.
9 And having been perfected, He became the author
of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

The obedience of the son of man was perfected at the cross.
John 12:23 But Jesus answered them, saying, the hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

John 13:31 So, when he had gone out, Jesus said,
Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him.

At His Ascension, the Son returned to His Excellent Glory.

2 Corinthians 3:
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious,
so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses
because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory,
the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect,
because of the glory that excels
.

Is He now fully God and fully man? He has no blood, so there is no life
of man in Him, He is a glorified, ascended man, and the giver of eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption,
and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying
that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

We are born again by the same incorruptible seed of the incarnation.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

Christ could not send the Spirit that endues with power until after the Ascension,
when the fullness of His Glory was restored.

John 7: 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those
believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given,
because Jesus was not yet glorified.

The Son of God and son of man were separated by sin and had to be restored to One.
This did not occur simply at His conception, He had to remain without sin to be the
acceptable sacrifice which reconciled man to God. For the life was in the blood
but is now forever in the Son.

Colossians 1:
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things
on earth or things in heaven, having made peace
through the blood of His cross.

Wisconsin Republicans block PFAS cleanup until polluters are granted immunity

GOP-controlled committee thwarting distribution of $125m budgeted by legislature until polluter immunity approved

Wisconsin Republicans are withholding $125m designated for cleanup of widespread PFAS contamination in drinking water and have said they will only release the funds in exchange for immunity for polluters.

“People really feel like they’re being held hostage,” said Lee Donahue, mayor of Campbell, which is part of the La Crosse metropolitan area and has drinking water contaminated with astronomical levels of PFAS. “It’s ridiculous, and some would argue that it’s criminal, that they are withholding money from communities in dire need of clean drinking water.”

[Sorry, citizens, the WI GOP has to look out for its core constituency.]

PFAS are a class of chemicals used across dozens of industries to make products water-, stain- and heat-resistant. They are called “forever chemicals” because they don’t naturally break down, and they persist in the environment and accumulate in humans’ and animals’ bodies. The compounds are linked to cancer, decreased immunity, thyroid problems, birth defects, kidney disease, liver problems and a range of other serious illnesses.

Do I really need a new wireless router?

I have a Linksys router from over ten years ago that I am thinking of using when I sign up for home internet. Should I buy a new router because of security concerns? The older Linksys router required an ethernet cable connection and a CD rom drive for installing, neither of which my laptop has, but I can get an external CD rom drive and Ethernet to USB connector. However the Linksys setup was complicated and I had to chat online with Linksys to set it up properly in the past. It has been reset so I would need to set it up again. There is a good deal on Spectrum internet now, so I may want to get the router that is less complicated to set up so I can make sure it is working when the Spectrum installation person comes to my location. Best Buy told me that the newer routers can download all the installation files over the Internet, I think without an installation CD, but I have to ask about this. I don’t have a need for a really great router since I live at an apartment and don’t need to cover a large area or distance and I will be the only person using it. My main purposes are basic web-browsing on a laptop, email, and YouTube streaming, etc. Also if I get a new router which brand would you recommend?

Moving Today

I'm gonna be off here for awhile as I am going back to the place in the woods. I am unable to sign in from my phone, as it's the evil T - Mobile and it claims the log in page is not secure. It blocks me from a lot of stuff. Can't even look at Facebook!
This is the same evil system that put ads for lewd pictures in the middle of written sermons.
I do not know how long it will be till I get a wireless laptop, which is the way I hope to go. Landlines are outrageous where I'm going, like $140 a month!
I also need to transfer over to Patriot Mobile when I get a PO box. I'm done with satanic TRANS Mobile.
I got a lot of work to do!

Have We Abandoned Our First Love?

Introduction to the Seven Letters in Revelation

This is the first of seven letters that Jesus Christ sent to seven specific church congregations in seven different cities. Since the book of Revelation is regarding the times of the end, and it is intended for us, the body of Christ, and so much of it is written in symbols and in metaphorical language, it is believed that these seven churches either represent the church down through the generations, ending with Laodicea, which represents the church in this present age, and/or that all of them represent the church at any given time and in any given location throughout church history, as they apply.

So, as we go through this study of the seven churches, I pray that each one of us will pay close attention to the wording and that we will examine our own hearts and lives to see where we are in the scheme of things and where the Lord may be pointing to things in our own lives which need to change.

Now, in four of the seven letters, Jesus had both something positive and something negative to say about these church congregations, each of which were most likely the collective body of Christ in each city and thus they probably did not all meet together in the same exact locations. In two of the letters he spoke positively to the churches, and in only one did he have nothing good to say, but all was negative, and that is the church of Laodicea which many believe represents the church in our generation today. And I concur that it does represent the majority of what is called “church” today.

“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands.
“‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God’” (Revelation 2:1-7 ESV).

So, the church in Ephesus collectively represented the body of Christ who were dedicated to opposing all that was evil and to testing those who call themselves apostles but who were not apostles. Today this could include prophets, preachers, teachers, pastors, and evangelists, i.e. any who call themselves servants of the Lord and ministers of the gospel, who we are to test. And the church in Ephesus were those who were enduring patiently and bearing up for his name’s sake, and they had not grown weary. So they were committed to the truth of the gospel and to refuting the lies of the enemy, it appears.

But they had abandoned their first love. Either they had abandoned Christ himself or the love they had for him at first. So, what does that mean in this context? It would mean that Christ was no longer first place in their lives. He was not #1. He was not the one that they went to for everything. So, although what they were doing were good things, yet perhaps now they were doing them more in their flesh or as a matter of religious practice, but that they were not solely depending on the Lord Jesus to empower and to guide them in where to go and in what they were to do and to say.

And that is possible to do, to get into routines and then to just follow those routines without really inquiring of or depending on the Lord for what we are to do and to say, and for where and when we are to go here or there. In other words, it is possible for us to go ahead of God and assume that we should do such and such, because we believe it is the right thing to do, when that might not be what he wants us to do at that time or with those specific people. And so we need his guidance and direction. We need him to lead us specifically in what to write/say, and to whom and when and where, etc.

So, the Lord is saying to any of us who might be operating out of habit, rather than as being led by the Holy Spirit, that we need to repent, to turn away from doing that, to back up, and to take time to inquire of the Lord and to see what he wants us to do instead of us just assuming what is right or wrong when it may not be his timing or what he wants at all. And so if we go without his direction, it could end up backfiring and blowing up in our faces. For it is not the Lord we are serving if we are going it alone without letting him lead us in where to go, in what to say, and in what to do.

And he may then remove us from the ministry to which he has called us because our ministry depends on him leading us and him empowering us and him opening and closing doors for us. So, we must be his servants who let him lead us, and who then follow him in obedience in doing what he says.

But the Lord still commended them for hating the works of false preachers and teachers and doctrines and philosophies and teachings. And we do need to be people who discern the lies from the truth and who are speaking the truth and not the lies, and who are exposing the fruitless deeds of darkness for what they are. For this is what we have all been called to do. And we all need to be listening to the Lord, to what he wants to teach us, and then we must conquer all that is contrary to his will by following him in obedience. And then we have the promise and the hope of eternal life with God.

Beautiful Lamb

“Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

By Gary Miller

Beautiful Lamb of God, guiltless and pure as snow,
Gentle and merciful, beautiful Lamb of God.
Sent from the Father’s love,
Sent from the throne above,
Sent to redeem us with His blood.

Beautiful Lamb of God, guiltless and pure as snow,
Gentle and merciful, beautiful Lamb of God.
Behold the Lamb of God
Suff’ring great pain for us,
And by His wounds we all are healed.

Beautiful Lamb of God, guiltless and pure as snow,
Gentle and merciful, beautiful Lamb of God.
Like sheep we’ve gone astray,
Each turn to his own way,
But Jesus will take our sins away.

My Father's Day Poem

Not all of us can celebrate
The fathers that we had on earth,
For some of us had fathers grim,
From the first day our moms gave birth.

Our lives with “Dad,” oh, they were sad,
We feared him much when he got mad.
We never knew when he’d lash out,
So we were scared, without a doubt.

But then we learned of Jesus’ love,
And of our Father up above,
And of the love they have for us,
And that brought comfort, we felt loved.

And so in absence of the man,
Who was my father, flesh in hand,
My Father God did take his place,
He is the Dad I celebrate.

Why is the church so bland?

This is not an attack on the church. I was attacking the church in my Christian infancy, when I had no understanding of my own state of being.

One attack that I remember, were against fat monks in Orthodox monasteries. Not only were they fat, but one in particular was seeking medical treatment for sickness probably resulting from his obesity. So I was thinking, if this is the church of God, what kind of joke is this.

I understand that everyone has their struggle, and maybe some people will think that my struggles are petty and rediculous, but I personally will never understand the struggle of fat people. Even more so, I am amazed how a person who has dedicated their life to the scripture, and surrounded by brothers who have done the same, still haven't gotten to term with the BASICS.

But then this might sound like I am singleing out fat people in the church. Which of course I do not.

Another equally disturbing fact, if not even more disturbing, is how the church is split today. If we believe in the POWER, why don't we recognize the POWER and join ourselves to it? But everyone has recognized that the church is fallen, that's why we have 40,000 denominations, because everyone thinks that they have the right interpretation, but they are equally as fallen as the rest. To add insult to injury, they preach 'prosperity'. How can anyone prosper, when the church is fallen, and you yourself in a state of mortal sin? This is sheer delusion.

The church should be clothed in sackloth, not 'prosperity'. To me these people look like deluded buffoons, not like someone 'prosperous'.

The message of Christ is a reneval of heart, and freedom from sin, is it not so? Then how can someone in a state of sin, preach the gospel? Is he not denying the power by this act alone, and preaching another gospel? A gospel of the flesh, and not of the Spirit?

Having your sin covered, and being free from sin, are two completely different things! Was the message of Christ to live in sin and prosperity, while he suffers of the cross? How does it even enter a persons mind, to live in prosperity, when not even his "brothers" and "sisters" see the truth, not to speak of "the lost"?

Why do people even come with such gross statements as, "he took the punishment for our sin", to unbelievers who do not know God? How can they know what sin is? Again, with 40,000 denominations, everyone teaching a different gospel, with themselves as the authority, not even the church knows what sin is!

Therefore, the only testimony I bear is AGAINST MYSELF, until the day that God delivers me.

How you can become a conspiracy theorist.

Stage 1 - watch the very short video
Stage 2 - Now you have realized how corrupt the MSM is and how they brain washed you.

Stage 3 - Strange thoughts will come into your mind , don't panic this is normal , you will feel a compulsion to look up things like operation mockingbird etc.

Stage 4 - You begin to feel angry , you feel dirty and violated and want to unbrainwash yourself as soon as possible. The best way to do this is to simply refuse to watch any MSM news any more , and seek your news elsewhere.
Please do not go to extreme measures as some have done , like buying these types of products. But if you do then please seek medical advise before using such products.

Stage 5 - SIDE EFFECTS. Side effects may include warm fuzzy feelings towards Donald Trump , don't panic this is all part of the process , some have even gone as far as saying they are going to vote for him , once again , don't panic , not everybody has these side effects.

Stage 6 - Time has gone by and you are now fully unbrainwashed , you now see the world in a completely different way.

Stage 7 - This is the final stage , you feel the need to help others , so you begin to warn them and help them see things in a different light , but they turn on you and call you a conspiracy theorist.

Well there ya go folks , the program has succeeded , you are now a fully fledged conspiracy theorist , welcome to the club.....

Entropy & Decay

Hello folks. Today will be a devotional on entropy, which is the scientific theory about why stuff breaks down, and is described in scripture.

Date
June 15, 2024 | Entropy & Decay
Verse
Psalm 102:25-27 (NIV): "In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end."

Psalm 90:10 (NIV): "Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away."

Genesis 3:19 (NIV): "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

Genesis 6:3 (NIV): "Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.’"
Explanation
These four passages from the Bible reflect on the nature of God, the transience of the world, and the inevitability of decay and death. Let's break down each passage:
  1. Psalm 102:25-27: This passage praises God as the eternal Creator who laid the foundations of the earth and the heavens. It acknowledges that everything created will eventually perish and wear out, just like clothing, but God remains the same. This understanding of God's eternal nature and the impermanence of the created world is a common theme in the Bible.
  2. Psalm 90:10: This verse recognizes that human life is brief, with an average lifespan of 70 to 80 years. It acknowledges that the best years are often filled with trouble and sorrow, but also that time passes quickly. This passage emphasizes the importance of making the most of the time we have and living in a way that honors God. As of 2021, the average life expectancy of the world is 71.0 years.
  3. Genesis 3:19: This verse is a consequence of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. It emphasizes the reality of the human condition – that we must work hard to survive and that we will eventually return to the earth from which we were taken. This passage reminds us of the importance of stewardship and hard work, as well as the reality of death and the impermanence of our physical bodies.
  4. Genesis 6:3: This verse describes God's decision to limit human lifespan to 120 years due to their wickedness. It underscores the importance of living a righteous life and the reality that even the longest human lives are finite. The longest living human, Jeanne Calment of France, passed away at age 122 in 1997, close to the maximum lifespan as outlined in Genesis. More recently, a Japanese Christian woman named Kane Tanaka (田中カ子) lived to 119 years from 1903 to 2022.
These passages relate to entropy (the second law of thermodynamics) in that they acknowledge the impermanence and decay of the physical world. Entropy is the natural tendency of energy to move from a more ordered state to a less ordered state, leading to an increase in disorder or randomness over time. The Bible acknowledges this scientific reality, but also emphasizes that God remains constant and unchanging, despite the changing nature of the world.
Societal Relevance
Decay is a natural part of life, and is based on scripture and science. In modern society, we can work to mitigate decay on our cars, roads and homes as well as on our bodies. However, obsessing about decay will not change things.

Regarding how we can take care of our possessions, vehicles, and ourselves without overly brooding about decay, the Bible encourages us to live wisely and make the most of the time we have. Proverbs 13:22 states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children." This suggests that taking care of what we have is a way of honoring God and providing for future generations. Additionally, focusing on the things that truly matter, such as our relationship with God and with others, can help put the transience of material possessions into perspective.

For myself, I tend not to take care of things that well. In the past, I used to destroy my belongings, as a lot of young kids did, as well as damaging the riding lawnmower in 2014 at my parents’ previous home by reversing quickly out of turns (damaging the drive system). Four years prior, after watching a KOHLER® advert on TV, where a guy flushed random objects down the toilet, my mind went to “Hey, what items can go down the toilet”, and I acted upon it. Two toilets later, and a summer of chores in 2010 taught me right. Nowadays, in the 2020s, taking care of items has been my goal. My laptop is already 7 years old, and I am planning on keeping my new Samsung phone for 6 years until 2030 or later. In summary, taking care of ourselves (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and our belongings glorifies God, and prevents wastage.

How to stop lust

It begins with the eyes. What you see & what your mind thinks after you see it. If you're a guy you might relate to this. You leave the house to go somewhere. An attractive woman walks by & you don't stare but you notice. Now your mind is on that image. The next one walks by & you look a little longer & that image stays in your mind longer. If you keep looking you'll feel like you started a fire you can't put out. Same with the internet. Images pop up to get your attention & you're tempted to find more. Ok how to stop it? Look away. See a pretty girl? Look away. Until it's a natural habit. Keep looking away. It puts out the fire. No lust. You stop thinking about it & now your mind is free to let you be at peace & do fun things, productive & useful things. Some say our minds are wired for sex but this is our on/off switch. And prayer! Pray for God to help you look away until it's no longer a struggle. Looking away becomes as easy as breathing. That spirit/flesh fight becomes a MUCH easier struggle.

Dear Brothers

As I seek My Father in Heaven who lives in you, please allow me to take this moment to bless you and thank you for all that you do.

Who is my brother, who is my father but the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

The greatest gift you could give your sisters or any person is believing in Him and doing His will.

You are His gift from heaven to this sister as I look up to Jesus in you. And I thank God for sending you. We need you. We love you.

Sometimes it's hard to try to encourage one for their problems are so great and any encouragement sounds so glib. None the less there is a way for such people it may take some time, but God can continually do moves to improve your situation. In Habakkuk 3 we see an example of one going through things where EVERYTHING was wrong and getting worse. He still locked into however this one way of thinking.....he was going to walk in joy and praise of God even though everything in his natural mind would almost not be able to accept it. He did it anyway and continued to do so.....to the positive end result that you see below.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Not a joke - u turn signs removed

At first glance, the signs are innocuous, simply directing traffic on the road. But longtime queer residents of Silver Lake knew they were a symbol of the neighborhood’s darker past.

The pew research reported on Trump not being popular

And I say - for all the right reasons.
They did not like him protecting our borders - now look at us.

I mean WTHECK? How does that bother another country? Stay in your lane.

They didn't like tariffs but we had more money to buy their goods.
And they also brought businesses here to create jobs.
Which means more of their goods were sold. Now they're wondering why we aren't buying?
Um, put a Democrat in office [help them] and watch sales plunder.

Die Hard Trump Supporters

I just got off the phone with my sister. She firmly, vigorously believes that Trump is the best president ever, can fix "everything", if anything bad happened January 6th it was Nancy Pelosi's fault and anyone convicted should certainly be pardoned, on and on. And I am the one who is brain washed because I do not buy it.

Anyone else?

Continued from Hebrews It! (Legal Study, Chapter 2:14) Pt. 10b

Concluding Statement of OP 10b;

Philippians 3:7 But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. 8 More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith. 10 My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.

Paul is suffering literal threat of death for preaching that God Saves mankind COMPLETELY if only each person will turn to Jesus as the Finisher and Completion of their Faith! Paul has CHANGED HIS MIND that the Law of Stone Sin and Death can save. Paul has relinquished any faith in the works of his human flesh, good or bad as having any baring on his salvation. He did the only thing that he can do to be saved. He Believed that Jesus was THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE!
"Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part (Partook) of the same, that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death — that is, the devil

1 Corinthians 15:55 Death, where is your victory? (Satan, did you achieve Victory)
Death, where is your sting? (Serpent, what is the venom of your snake strike)
56 Now the sting of death is sin, (The Venom of the Serpent strike is SIN)
and the power of sin is the law. (The Power behind Satan's ACCUSATIONS is THE LAW)
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Ephesians 2:14 For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. (parokhet) In His flesh,15 by destroying in his own body the enmity occasioned by the Torah (The Stone Covenant), with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom, (Peace)
Isaiah 28:18 our covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the realm of the dead will not stand.
When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.
2 Corinthians 3:3 It is clear that you are Christ’s letter, produced by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God—not on stone tablets but on tablets that are hearts of flesh. 4 We have this kind of confidence toward God through Christ. 5 It is not that we are competent in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our competence is from God. 6 He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life. 7 Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face—a fading glory— 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory. 10 In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was fading away was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious. ........... 13 We are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the Israelites could not stare at the end of what was fading away, 14 but their minds were closed. For to this day, at the reading of the old covenant, the same veil remains; it is not lifted, because it is set aside only in Christ. 15 Even to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts, 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law (Nomos/Torah) for righteousness to everyone who believes
Romans 4:15 For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression.
Romans 7:10 The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me.
Hebrews 9:4 having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.'
We can now use a portion from another OP that I have written to cinch up Hebrews 2:14 by explaining the purpose of the Azazael Goat that we read about on the day of Atonement.

Leviticus 16
5 He is to take from the Israelite community two male goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.
Well, look at that... we've been transported back in time to a literal Day of Atonement, performed by the Israelites.

6 “Aaron will present the bull for his sin offering and make atonement for himself and his household.
Wphewwwwww...... It was either Israelite Laundry Day, or the Day of Atonement! I got it right!

7 Next he will take the two goats and place them before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
We are getting Warmer... there are two goats.

8 After Aaron casts lots for the two goats, one lot for the Lord and the other for Azazel,[b]

Hmmmm.... so lot casting decided one goats purpose from another. Lots represent "randomness." Hmmmmm

9 he is to present the goat chosen by lot for the Lord and sacrifice it as a sin offering.
This one is TOUCHY... I'm just going to use scripture to explain... 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

See, God isn't a goat and normally shouldn't be seen as a goat. Yet, adjacent to Azazael, is a goat that is symbolic of God. Why is this SIN OFFERING a Goat? Mark 10:18 .... Jesus answered, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good. God just explained that ONLY GOD is Good. That must mean that: Romans 3:10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Which explains this portion of 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin,

10 But the goat chosen by lot for azazel[c] is to be presented alive before the Lord to make purification with it by sending it into the wilderness for azazel

What's being purified by casting out Azazael. Matthew 27:51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split. So, what was keeping us from accessing the MOST HOLY OF HOLY's? Not WHAT... WHO!
1 Corinthians 2:8 Not one of this world’s leaders has understood it; because if they had, they would not have executed the Lord from whom this glory flows.

1 Corinthians 4:4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

2nd Corinthians 3:15 When the Law of Moses is read, they have their minds covered over
Leviticus 16:20When he has finished purifying the most holy place, the tent of meeting, and the altar, he is to present the live male goat. 21 Aaron will lay both his hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the Israelites’ wrongdoings and rebellious acts—all their sins. He is to put them on the goat’s head and send it away into the wilderness by the man appointed for the task.[d] 22 The goat will carry on it all their wrongdoings into a desolate land, and he will release it there.

Now, obviously this Passage is about the precise moment that Jesus' work at Golgotha is complete then the Resurrection and finally the Ascension.

So Azazael (Desert Demon) is released without forgiveness. I believe that the Law was given by dispensation (or by ordinance) of Angels. (Acts 7:53)(Galatians 3:19). By the time Jesus arrives, "many" (NOT ALL), Sanhedrin officials had been utterly corrupted, to the point that Jesus Rips out Matthew 23 on them, calls them liars and murderers... and of coarse, just as John the Baptizer did, Vipers (Serpents), but just incase we were missing something... Jesus flat out calls them "sons of the devil (accuser of the brethren Rev 12:10)".

Al Kresta dies at 73

I just found out yesterday that Al Kresta had gone home from the hospital for hospice care. He had liver cancer. Then this afternoon that he has died. This was a guy that shaped my thinking and challenged me over the years. He was born a Catholic, drifted through New Age stuff, became an evangelical, Christian bookstore owner, pastor, radio host, and then found his way back to the Catholic Church. He founded Ave Maria Radio with the generous assistance of Tom Monaghan, and has been a regular on Catholic radio with Kresta in the Morning followed more recently by Kresta in the Afternoon. He would find experts in the fields of religion and culture and do deep dives into challenging subjects. EWTN carried his program and I ate it up. I even went to see him speak once in Lincoln NE.

Right now sadness consumes me. A great and good and smart and connected Catholic man is with us no more. But I realize the blessings of having him around are that we can then be enabled to do some good as a result of it all. I'm expecting that his radio program will continue to mine his archives for the best of his programs and that Marcus Peters will be able to carry on in the coming months and years.

How should I protect myself from malware on Android?

I recently read this news article https://thehill.com/homenews/nexsta...licious-downloads-in-google-play-store-study/
that says that there were malware apps that steal banking information with 5.5 million downloads. Since I recently switched to Android, I am worried I could easily download a malware app, since I tend to download a lot of apps. One of the specific malware apps mentioned was the anatsa or teabot apps that are designed to steal debit or credit card numbers from hundreds of financial apps. These malware apps were hidden in tools like PDF or QR code readers. Since I download a lot of apps I think with Android it might be good to just make the assumption that malware is already on my phone and just not download the app for my specific bank. Also, I am wondering if I sign up for a music subscription like Spotify using a separate computer, can the malware copy my debit card number out of the Spotify website or Spotify app? If I make donations to charitable organizations using my debit card number on the website or app, could the number be captured? Should I use my secondary bank account that has less money in it for these transactions or online subscriptions? If my money is stolen, is there any guarantee I can get it back by calling my bank?
