  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why did Jesus have to suffer and die?

Romans 6:
23 the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We all sin. We all die according to God's law. So, we need atonement, Leviticus 17:
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

Jesus knew it, Luke 18:
31 Then Jesus took the Twelve aside and said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything the prophets have written about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. 32 He will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. 33 They will flog Him and kill Him, and on the third day He will rise again.”

Jesus said it was necessary, Luke 24:
25 he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Paul explained in Hebrews 10:
4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said,
“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
6in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
7Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,

It was the will of God that Christ should die.
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’” ...
10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Jesus was the perfect sacrifice who died for us according to the will of God.

Was there another way around this?

Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
The answer was no.

Philippians 2
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
As a result:
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Why did Jesus have to suffer and die?

He died for sinners. He knew it was necessary. There was no other way.

Did Jesus speak Greek?

Mark 7:
24 Jesus left that place and went to the region of Tyre. Not wanting anyone to know He was there, He entered a house, but was unable to escape their notice. 25 Instead, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit soon heard about Jesus, and she came and fell at His feet. 26 Now she was a Greek woman of Syrophoenician origin, and she kept asking Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27 “First let the children have their fill,” He said. “For it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

Matthew 16:
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
The Peter-rock (Πέτρος-πέτρᾳ) pun only makes sense in Greek.

Peter
Πέτρος (Petros)
Strong's 4074: Peter, a Greek name meaning rock. Apparently a primary word; a rock; as a name, Petrus, an apostle.

rock
πέτρᾳ (petra)
Strong's 4073: A rock, ledge, cliff, cave, stony ground. Feminine of the same as Petros; a rock.

Jesus probably spoke Greek at some level.

WHAT ARE THE 2 THINGS UPON WHICH GOD CAN'T LIE AND HOW DO THEY BENEFIT US?

Hebrews 6:17-18
NKJV: Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

The Discipline of the Lord

Hebrews 12:4-13 ESV

“In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?
“’My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.’
“It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
“Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.”

If we are going to resist the devil and flee temptation and die daily to sin and to self and follow our Lord in obedience to his commands, it will involve much resolve and determination and discipline that we don’t have in our flesh, but that only comes from God. And so the Lord is going to take us through difficult times, and he is going to allow us to suffer for the sake of righteousness. And through the things which we suffer, if we are willing, we will learn righteousness and holiness and godly living.

Now when it says here that we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them, I just want to state here that not everyone has had an earthly father growing up, or if they did, not everyone had a father who exercised loving discipline for our good. Some of us had very abusive fathers who were selfish and bullies and who beat up on people weaker than them, and who took advantage of those under their care. So we may not all be able to relate to having fathers who disciplined us for our good.

And some of us who had fathers as I described here had a difficult time growing up relating to having a loving Father in heaven who disciplined us for our good. And some of us may still have a difficult time even calling God “Father,” and so it is much easier for us to just call him, “Lord,” for that is who he is supposed to be to us. And so some of us have had to work through some issues related to this idea of a loving Father who disciplines us for our good, and we may wonder why he would allow us to suffer so.

For me, God had to bring me to a place in my life to where I had to learn to accept that the things which happened to me, that God allowed to make me who I am so that he can use me in the way he is now using me for his purposes and for his glory. He didn’t invent evil, and he doesn’t approve of evil, but he does allow evil to exist, and he does allow evil people to do bad things even to the righteous. But we are called to a life of suffering, for in our suffering we are humbled and we learn to love and to serve our Lord.

So, I had to learn to accept the sovereignty of God over my life and to trust him with my circumstances even when things didn’t go so well, and even when others persecuted, hated, and mistreated me for my walk of faith and obedience to the Lord. For the things we suffer in this life are all part of God’s divine discipline in our lives in order to humble us and to train us in righteousness and in holy living. But it is painful, indeed!!

But if we respond to God’s discipline in our lives with faith and not with bitterness and resentment, then that discipline will serve its purpose in our lives so that we will share in God’s holiness, and so that it will yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness in our lives, when we permit God to train us in his righteousness through the things which we suffer. So, although painful at the times we go through these difficulties, God will bring good out of them in the lives of those of us whose lives are surrendered to him.

Thus, if we are those who have been trained in holy living by these disciplines, then we should also be those who are now making straight (holy, righteous, honest, morally pure, upright and faithful) paths for us to walk in, in conduct and in practice, by God’s grace. And if any parts of our walks of faith are lacking or weak, through these disciplines those areas of our lives can be strengthened by the grace of God, in his power, strength, and wisdom, as we yield control of our lives over to the Lord.

A Believer’s Prayer

An Original Work / July 31, 2012

With my whole heart, Lord, I pray
To be Yours, and Yours always.
Lead me in Your truth today.
May I love You, and obey.
Lead me in Your righteousness.
When I sin, may I confess;
Bow before You when I pray;
Live for You and You always.

Love You, Jesus, You’re my friend.
Life with You will never end.
You are with me through each day,
Giving love and peace always.
You will ne’er abandon me.
From my sin You set me free.
You died on that cruel tree,
So I’d live eternally.

Soon You’re coming back for me;
From this world to set me free;
Live with You eternally.
Oh, what joy that brings to me.
I will walk with You in white;
A pure bride, I’ve been made right
By the blood of Jesus Christ;
Pardoned by His sacrifice.

Hunter Biden plea deal in jeopardy; agreement gives judge pause

WILMINGTON, Del. — The plea deal for Hunter Biden‘s tax crimes collapsed on Wednesday when a federal judge in the case questioned a related deal on a gun charge and whether the plea agreement would shield the president’s son from future charges.

Hunter Biden’s defense attorneys balked at the revelation and the prosecution’s insistence that Hunter Biden remains open to further prosecution

Human footprints found at White Sands date back 19,000 to 26,500 years ago

" 60 footprints embedded in an ancient lake bed in what is now White Sands National Park in south central New Mexico are strong evidence that humans occupied the New World between about 21,000 and 23,000 years ago. "

"These prints were made during the height of the Last Glacial Maximum, the span between about 19,000 and 26,500 years ago when the ice age was at its peak and glaciers covered roughly one-third of Earth's land."

Fossilized footprints in New Mexico are earliest 'unequivocal evidence' of people in the Americas

When did plate tectonics begin?

"Researchers analyzing ancient deposits in Australia found evidence that Earth's layers started to get mixed up — a fingerprint of plate tectonics — about 1.3 billion years after the planet formed."

Florida Dabbles in Foreign Diplomacy - F SB 264 Forbids Foreign Nationals from Owning Most Property in State

Is this even legal?
The bill (Chapter 2023-33, L.O.F.) generally restricts the issuance of government contracts or economic development incentives to, or real property ownership by, foreign principals, which are certain individuals and entities associated with foreign countries of concern. Foreign countries of concern include the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Cuba, the Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro, and the Syrian Arab Republic.

With respect to conveyances of real property in this state, the bill generally:
  • Prohibits foreign principals from owning or acquiring agricultural land in the state.
  • Prohibits foreign principals from owning or acquiring any interest in real property within 10 miles of any military installation or critical infrastructure in the state.
  • Prohibits China, Chinese Communist Party or other Chinese political party officials or members, Chinese business organizations, and persons domiciled in China, but who are not citizens or lawful permanent residents of the U.S., from purchasing or acquiring any interest in real property in the state.
  • Provides limited exceptions from the ownership restrictions for the purchase of one residential property that is not on or within 5 miles of any military installation in the state.

That sentiment is echoed by many Chinese residents in the US as laws banning foreign property purchases, most targeting Chinese people, have proliferated around the nation. According to the advocacy group APA Justice, 33 states have proposed or enacted similar bans against ownership of real estate by people of specific national origins. As legislators have revised their bills to address arguments that they are bigoted, some have added exceptions for lawful permanent residents who hold green cards.

On 8 May, Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 264 into law, a measure that bars almost all property ownership for people or entities from various “countries of concern” including China, Cuba, North Korea and Russia. Under the law, they can’t buy property with some exceptions; individuals who hold a non-tourist visa or have been granted asylum can buy a residence of less than 2 acres (0.8 hectares) if it is at least 5 miles (8km) away from a military base or “critical infrastructure”. The law singles out Chinese people with higher penalties for violation, but it does not apply to those who are naturalized US citizens or who have legal permanent “green card” residency.

Hunter Biden legal team calls Judge and identifies themselves as Republican Lawyer

In a brief order Tuesday afternoon, U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika wrote that an employee at Latham & Watkins, a law firm representing the president’s son, had called the court clerk’s office and falsely claimed to work for a Republican lawyer in the hopes of persuading the clerk to remove documents that apparently contained Biden’s personal tax information.

The consequences of not doing evangelism in public

I believe that the body of Christ in its actions, or lack of action, are giving the unbelievers evidence that our God is not real. Our lack of evangelism gives them the evidence.
If you saw a house on fire, you would yell and warn the people inside. You would not let it be on your conscience that you did nothing. Your belief that they will die, will drive you to do something. Likewise, if you truly believe in an everlasting punishment for unbelievers, you will warn everyone you saw. But our absence of action shows our level of belief; and the lost see this. So, our lack of proclaiming the Gospel gives the unbelievers evidence that we ourselves do not truly believe.

I heard a statement from Jordan Peterson about belief. It is a statement I have used on these forums a couple of times. The summation of the statement is that, if you believe something, then you will act in accordance with your belief. Then if what you say and act out match each other, then you are a trustworthy person. So here is the quote:
"Is what you believe, what you say, or, what you act out? In truth, what you believe, is what you act out. But if you are a person of character, then what you say and what you act out are the same thing and then your word can be trusted. So, belief is substantiated in action." Jordan Peterson

Now unfortunately, I have heard Christians say that, if we preach on a street corner or go into the parks and evangelise, in this day and age, then, we will look like an idiot. They say, it is not what we do now. And sadly, this in a way is true. People look at a person preaching on a street corner and think to themselves, "Look at this idiot. He actually believes in what he says.". This is very sad.
When a believer finally does get up and tell the truth, people look at him and scoff. But in reality, this believer is doing what he should be, and he is showing his level of belief.
If more people were doing this, then the preacher would not look like such a fool. If many were proclaiming, then people would then think "Why do all these people believe? Is there something to this belief?" If many people proclaimed, then the evidence would be that the church actually does believe in what is written in the Bible.

If we truly believe that Jesus died for us and we have put our faith in His sacrifice, then because we believe, we should act in accordance with this belief. Our actions will not save us, but they are a result of being saved and truly believing.
So, knowing that the lost will perish in a terrible way, are we willing to risk it all to save them? Will our actions match our belief?

"What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless? Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works also when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." James 2:14-26

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10

A tough choice - Your input appreciated

Ok, a little about me: I'm 41 years old and raised in the U.S. since a very early age (3ish) and grew up there. Had all my "firsts" there. First day of school, first motorcycle, first kiss etc. I am born in Norway though, and beyond a passing memory I had no connection to Norway growing up.

In 2000 I moved back to Norway to go to college, that fell through as I met a woman and got married. We had a child. The mother turned out to be quite physical and verbally abusive and I ended up with full custody. My daughter is now 21 years old.

I have not been able to "live" in Norway, it's like trying to fit a circle through a square hole if that makes sense. I feel out of place, like I do not belong. I've tried so hard to just live my life, however it feels as though I merely exist. My ex-wife and I got a divorce after she cheated on me, this was many years ago but it left me hesitant to pursue any relationships up until five years ago where I met a girl in the U.S. who I absolutely fell in love with. We got engaged, and she comes from a great Christian family which is important to me.

Now the hard part; My daughter doesn't want me to move back, I have offered her to move back with me which was the plan from the beginning but she found a really nice (honestly a nice guy) boyfriend and they're pretty serious so naturally, she doesn't want to leave him behind. So I'm stuck feeling torn, I don't want to leave my daughter here in Norway (we have always been extremely close!) but she's growing up and her dad just isn't as important as I once was which is understandable. But it's not fair for me to just up and abandon my fiance who has been so kind and good to me either. She wouldn't move to Norway as she's got a physical illness that would make living here a little too difficult.

I haven't prayed on this as much as I should have, admittedly. Something I plan on changing. However, I would love to hear your take on this as well. I just feel, if I stay here I'm hurting a very kind and lovely person just so I can exist in proximity to my daughter. But I'm afraid if I move, my daughter and my relationship would diminish. I don't want her to think that my fiance is more important to her or vice versa as they are both equally important in different ways.

Thanks for reading :)

House Judiciary Committee to consider recommending Congress hold Zuckerberg in contempt

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday will consider recommending Congress hold Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena seeking internal company documents involving online censorship.

Meta said it has complied with congressional requests and turned over tens of thousands of pages of documents, but federal lawmakers believe the Big Tech company has withheld info about its interactions with the Biden administration to coordinate censorship.

Giuliani concedes he made defamatory statements about Georgia election workers

Rudy Giuliani concedes he made defamatory statements about Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss in an effort to resolve their lawsuit against him and to satisfy a judge who has considered sanctioning him.
The late-night Tuesday filing from Giuliani says he doesn’t contest Moss and Freeman’s accusations that he smeared them after the 2020 election. Yet the filing says he still wants to be able to argue that his statements about voter fraud in Georgia in the 2020 election were protected speech. Notably, he also refuses to concede that his statements caused damages to Moss or Freeman.......
Lawyers for Moss and Freeman are set to respond next week in court to Giuliani’s latest statements, though their lead attorney on Wednesday morning called Giuliani’s concessions a “major milestone” in the case.
“Giuliani’s stipulation concedes what we have always known to be true—Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss honorably performed their civic duties in the 2020 presidential election in full compliance with the law; and the allegations of election fraud he and former-President Trump made against them have been false since day one,” their lawyer Michael J. Gottlieb, a partner at Willkie, Farr & Gallagher, said in a statement.

Guiliani lied. What a surprise.

Mitch McConnell freezes up while speaking, escorted away

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4121177-mcconnell-freezes-at-briefing-concerning-colleagues/

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) froze for almost 20 seconds while delivering his opening statement at a leadership press conference Wednesday afternoon, prompting murmurs of concern among his colleagues and the assembled press corps.

McConnell told reporters the Senate was on a path to complete work on the annual defense authorization bill and praised what he called “good bipartisan cooperation” before freezing midsentence and staring straight ahead without uttering another word.

Mitch Mcconnel freezes mid speech

This isn't meant as an attack on Mitch. I personally don't like him, in particular for the shenanigans around blocking Garland's appointment to the Supreme Court for almost a year, and then rushing through Barret's appointment.

However, there was a strange incident with Mitch freezing at the podium and appearing bewildered.
I'm not going to guess what medical condition if any he had, but that it looked concerning.

I'm not bragging or boasting, I'm not going to declare that he isn't fit for office, as I know nothing about what happened.
Watching it myself, I found it a bit shocking, even though I don't like him, I couldn't help but feel some sympathy.

I'm posting the below link because the rules are that I have to post to an article rather than a video. I have not read the below article, nor am I suggesting anyone read it.

Prayer Request- Ocean Current Collapse

Hi everyone- A prayer request. I just heard the news on weather.com about the ocean current that is on the verge of collapse, if it did collapse it would probably cause profound climate change on the earth. I think the body of Christ needs to say NO to this! We need to pray for this right now! If you wouldn't mind agree with me in prayer!

Lord God the body of Christ agrees right now for Your intervention in this situation with the ocean current and we pray that this ocean current would not collapse and that there would be no profound climate change on the earth! We take authority over the ocean current right now and we command it to function normally right now, we forbid it to collapse now in the name of Jesus! We speak life into this ocean current now in Jesus' name! We also agree for wisdom for everyone in leadership all over the earth in this situation and that You would show our leaders and scientists exactly what to do in this situation! Lord show us what to do to combat climate change on the earth, show us what to do to prevent a catastrophe! We pray for healing for the earth and that everything in the climate and environment would function normally as You created it to! We forbid climate change to happen now in the name of Jesus! We also speak life into the global world system and natural environment! We pray for an end to air pollution, an end to global warming, and an end to the destruction of the natural environment now in Jesus' name! Hear from heaven and save us Lord!

Hunter Biden’s lawyers scramble to explain ‘miscommunication’ over false claims to court

The mess will likely come up during a Wednesday hearing for Hunter Biden in Delaware.

Revelation 19/Armageddon is NOT the second coming.

I know that it has been traditionally taught that it is by virtually all eschatalogical positions for hundreds if not thousands of years, but it simply does not fit the rest of the bible for how the second coming of Christ is said to go.

Let's examine some scripture regarding the Day of the Lord/Second Coming, as this realization I've been pouring over for months has reshaped my eschatology from believing as pretrib and most pre-wrath do of a rapture and then a second coming at Revelation 19, to a single second coming like post-trib, but not at Revelation 19.

First let's look at the Revelation 19 passage
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great harlot, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
First I want to point out that there are people in heaven, MUCH people in heaven, they are not identified as souls but people. First off even if they are souls, this explicitly shatters any doctrine of soul sleep, or that people don't go to heaven at all, and just get resurrected on the New Earth. They are people, they are conscious and they are praising God. This is also after the destruction of Babylon, which is after the 7th bowl, but before the supposed second coming that most people put the second coming at.

3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
in previous passages such as Revelation 7, the saints praised not only God that sat on the throne (God the Father), but also the Lamb (Jesus), they were 2 distinct people and both addressed. Here only 1 is addressed. I propose it is because the Lamb is already on Earth, cleaning house.

5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
So here they refer to the Lamb, but they aren't addressing Him directly or worshipping Him. It's like the Elephant NOT in the room. We will also get to this Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As if the Lamb is not in Heaven at this time, as I do not believe He is during this passage, then the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is NOT some extravagant feast in heaven as is commonly taught by pretrib. But no description of feasting is given in scripture...... until later, and you'll see, its not what you have been taught most likely.

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
First, we finally see the Lamb AFTER heaven opened, and where was John? He was in heaven. He was not on Earth looking up at the heavens opening up and watching Jesus ride Pegasus down from Heaven. He was in Heaven watching the celebration of Babylon's destruction and the worship of God that sat on the Throne. I believe what John saw, was Jesus already on Earth.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
His vesture is already dipped in blood, we will show where this blood came from in another passage regarding the second coming, and a hint, no it is NOT symbolic of the blood He shed for us, no it is NOT the blood of the tribulation saints magically transferred to His robe. The bible is explicit of who's blood it is and where it came from and why it is on His robe (I'll show it from Isaiah 63)

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Again, explicitly thrashing the idea that saints do not go to heaven at any point but just soul sleep. These are the saints, the bride of Christ, described in the same way as previously in fine white linen. These are also saints in bodies, riding horses. Not souls or spirits. They're now on Earth again, they WERE in heaven.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Here we address what the marriage supper of the lamb is, it is a slaughter at Armageddon, and the feasting is by the carrion birds.

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
The second coming of Jesus is on a day nobody knows, not even Jesus Himself (Mark 13:32), only God the Father, here Antichrist has an army gathered ready to meet Jesus. This is not an unknown day, this is something they prepared for.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

So there is the supposed second coming passage. Now let's look at where the second coming is described elsewhere in the bible, starting with Acts 1
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
He went up in a cloud, He will come on a cloud, not a horse.

Matthew 24
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
So, it will be like lightning, like the radiance of the sun going east to west, but the sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars will fall., He'll come in the clouds, and HE will send the angels with a trumpet (not angels blowing trumpets). NONE of these match Revelation 19. None at all.
1. a horse not a cloud
2. the earth dwellers are prepared to fight Him not mourning
3. no trumpet
4. no celestial signs of the sun moon and stars
5. the only thing that kind of matches is that the saints are gathered to follow Him, however they were already just in Heaven now on Earth.

But let's keep going, let's look at where Jesus drew this passage of Matthew 24 from, Zechariah

Zechariah 9
14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
Here's the details that are like Matthew 24, that God will be seen over them (and Jesus is referring to Himself as God in the Olivet discourse, explicitly using Zechariah 9, doing things that are attributed to the Lord God), that His coming is like lightning, that Jesus will blow a trumpet, and that His people will be gathered, Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4 also refers to this, and the lifting up of God's people into the sky is coming from Zechariah 9 lifting His people up to display like an Ensign over His land (an Ensign is a kind of flag that is displayed above a ship to show its nationality, so Jesus is lifting up His people into the sky, to display them to people on the Earth as "these are MY people", think of Revelation 3:9, this is how the synagogue of Satan worships at Philadelphia's feet (not worshiping the church of Philadelphia, but worshiping below the feet of the Church gathered with Jesus, they are worshiping Jesus).

But here's a thing that conflicts with Revelation 19. Armageddon is NORTH of the Mount of Olives.
Zechariah 9 says He goes south.

I'll continue this with more passages from Isaiah next post

The Dunning-Kruger effect

The Dunning-Kruger effect effect occurs when a person's lack of knowledge and skills in a certain area causes them to overestimate their own competence. By contrast, this effect also causes those who excel in a given area to think the task is simple for everyone and underestimate their relative abilities as well.

My son has his degree in computer engineering. Back in High School he was talking the advanced classes and was pretty close to the people in those classes. They were very intelligent but there was a number of them that dropped out and did not go onto college. So often my son and I talk about the people who took advantage of what they had, compared to the people who end up at McDonalds.

Today he came up with a name for it: Dunning-Kruger effect. This explains how people who put zero work into understanding a subject - somehow in someway think they know more about it than the people with a Phd. I esp see this in astro physics and in areas where things have mathematical evidence and proof.

US Consumer Confidence Jumps to a Two Year High

Another good sign for the US economy...decreased inflation and continued hiring are credited with boosting American's confidence:

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. consumer confidence shot to the highest level in two years this month as inflationary pressures eased and the American economy continued to show resilience in the face of dramatically higher interest rates.

The Conference Board, a business research group, said its consumer confidence index rose to 117 in July from a revised 110.1 in June. The gauge beat the 110.5 that economists had expected and was the highest since July 2021.

I’m fascinated by the evidence of miracles, going beyond the most famous.

. I’ve searched the world to collect books on them.
Many are old, for example the books on limpias are 1917-1920 era
The books on the white doves of the pilgrim virgin are 1949-50

I’m curious .. how many have even heard of these now? I just give few examples.

fill in the poll!
