  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are You Accepting a Different Gospel?

2 Corinthians 11:1-4 ESV

“I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.”

When we believe in Jesus Christ with God-persuaded faith in him, we enter into a marriage covenant relationship with our Lord, not unlike the Jewish marriage covenant of the Scriptures. For there a man and a woman entered into a covenant of marriage, and so they were considered married, but then the husband would go prepare a place for his bride so that she could be with him, and then he would come and get her and they would have the marriage banquet, and then they would consummate their marriage relationship (this is what I remember). But they were to remain pure until that time.

So it is with our marriage to Christ. And our Lord Jesus is presently preparing a place for us, his bride, and one day he is going to come back for his faithful ones and he is going to take us to be with him, and then our marriage to Christ will be spiritually consummated, i.e. that is when our salvation will be complete, and not until then. In the meanwhile, we have been saved (past), we are being saved (present) and we will be saved (future) provided that we continue in Christ in walks of obedience to him and that we do not return to living in sin and not in obedience to his commands.

For the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, instructs (trains) us to renounce (say “No!” to) ungodliness and fleshly and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for our Lord’s return. For Jesus Christ “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works” (see Titus 2:11-14; cf. Ephesians 2:10).

So, this is what Paul was talking about here. Since he is the one who preached the gospel of our salvation to these who became believers in Corinth, he saw that as him marrying them to Jesus Christ, much like a pastor would marry a man and a woman to one another. He performed the marriage ceremony, essentially, and so he felt kind of like a dad to them, I would assume. So he was jealous for them with a godly jealousy, for he had married them to Christ to present them as a pure virgin to Christ.

But he was concerned that they were being deceived and that their thoughts would be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. He was concerned that they would commit spiritual adultery against their Lord, in other words, because they were putting up with those who were teaching lies. For they were listening to people who were proclaiming another Jesus other than the one of the Scriptures, and they were receiving a different spirit from the one they had received, and they were accepting a different gospel from the one they had accepted, as coming from Paul’s teachings.

And this is happening in the American church today BIG TIME! For so many professers of faith in Jesus Christ are sitting under the ministry of charlatans and wolves in sheep’s clothing and those who twist the Scriptures and who make them say what they do not teach. So many of them are listening to smooth talkers and charmers who are saying what itching ears want to hear, but who are not telling people the truth. For many are teaching a half-truth gospel message absent of God’s requirements for repentance, obedience to God, and holy living as required for salvation and for eternal life with God.

So many today are altering the divine character of God/Christ in order to appease human flesh. And they are altering the gospel of our salvation for the same reason. And they are altering the character of God’s true church, his body, and they are making it into the image of man and not of God, and in order to draw in large crowds of people from the world into their gatherings. For they are turning the church into businesses of men, being run like other human-based businesses, and they are marketing these “churches” to the people of the world, but in the name of God.

And people are flocking to these charlatans and these wolves in sheep’s clothing because they are telling the people what they want to hear. And many of them are not teaching repentance, obedience, and holy living at all. And many who do are not teaching the consequences if we choose not to obey our Lord and if we choose to continue in deliberate and habitual sin. And they are also not teaching God’s stipulations and his requirements for his promises to his people to be fulfilled. So they are filling their minds with lies from Satan to keep them from walking in obedience to the Lord.

But Jesus taught and his NT apostles taught that we must die with Christ to sin, not just once, but daily, and that we must walk in holiness and in righteousness and in obedience to our Lord, in practice, and not in sin, or we do not have salvation from sin, and we do not have eternal life with God. This is taught all throughout the NT, and yet so many of these pastors are willfully skipping over those passages of Scripture and are still feeding people lies which tell them that heaven is guaranteed them when they die regardless of how they live. So, please know the truth:

[Matt 7:21-23; Matt 24:9-14; Lu 9:23-26; Rom 1:18-32; Rom 2:6-8; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14,24; Rom 12:1-2; Rom 13:11; 1 Co 6:9-10,19-20; 2 Co 5:10,15,21; 1 Co 1:18; 1 Co 15:1-2; 2 Tim 1:8-9; Heb 9:28; 1 Pet 1:5; Gal 5:16-21; Gal 6:7-8; Eph 2:8-10; Eph 4:17-32; Eph 5:3-6; Col 1:21-23; Col 3:5-17; 1 Pet 2:24; Tit 2:11-14; 1 Jn 1:5-9; 1 Jn 2:3-6,24-25; 1 Jn 3:4-10; Heb 3:6,14-15; Heb 10:23-31; Heb 12:1-2; Rev 21:8,27; Rev 22:14-15]

My Sheep

An Original Work / June 24, 2012
Based off John 10:1-18 NIV

My sheep hear me. They know me.
They listen to my voice and obey.
I call them and lead them.
They know my voice, so they follow me.
They will never follow strangers.
They will run away from them.
The voice of a stranger they know not;
They do not follow him.

So, I tell you the truth that
I am the gate, so you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever enters
Not by the gate; other way,
He is the thief and a robber.
Listen not, the sheep to him.

Oh, I am the Good Shepherd,
Who laid his own life down for the sheep.
I know them. They know me.
They will live with me eternally.
The thief only comes to steal and
Kill and to destroy the church.
I have come to give you life that
You may have it to the full…

They know my voice, so they follow me.

Greetings dearly beloved!

So glad to be here, such a blessing to have this opportunity to talk with you guys. Personally, I don't identify myself under any particular denomination, I loathe identity politics, I hate all kinds of man made labels that wrongfully define and limit us, the only label I wanna put on is a good and faithful servant of Christ. As for theology, the most legitimate and biblical teaching is from messianic Jewish ministries where the who biblical narrative is based on the Torah, the first five books of the bible. The New Testament is not a new invention that has "done away with" the Old Testament, but a renewal and continuation of the Old Testatment, that is my core belief.

I've signed up for Christ since 2014, almost a decade ago, but only until January 6 did I seriously start to study the bible and cultivate my faith. That was quite a fateful day, a turning point for the worse, all the institutions I used to trust and all the idols I used to worship began to collapse, and that was such a red pill moment for me, it left me no choice but to come to Christ. Hallelujah. It seems like the whole world is shrouded in spiritual darkness, the demonic transgender cult has shredded the western civilization into pieces, and there're all kinds of natural disasters, political upheaval, economic turmoil, another plauge is on the horizon, this makes me really concerned about the future, about my family and all of you guys, my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have come to realize that our only hope is in Christ, and his return is near, very likely in the 2030s - just an estimate, not date setting!

That being said, I'm actually from the other side of the ocean, living under the belly of the beast, whatever hour it is at your local time, change the am into pm and vice versa, and that's my local time, so let's just put it that way.

Georgia’s Geoff Duncan Must Be Disqualified for Anti-Trump Bias

Georgia’s Geoff Duncan Must Be Disqualified for Anti-Trump Bias

by JEFFREY LORD

August 14, 2023

Will Duncan look the jurors in their eyes and tell them up front that anything he says needs to be considered in light of the fact that he has a quite decidedly anti-Trump bias? That he has not only spoken out against the ex-president repeatedly but has in fact written an entire book detailing his Trump loathing? And since that Trump hatred of Duncan’s is a much on-the-record case, any and everything Duncan says against Trump in his testimony should be taken with a grain of salt precisely because it is tainted with his anti-Trump zealotry? Which in an honest world would instantly disqualify him from testifying to the jury.

And speaking of corruption in the Fulton County District Attorney’s office — here was the headline today from National Review:

Which is to say, Geoff Duncan has a bias.

A huge, obvious bias that should have no place in a court of law. He should not testify or be within a country mile of a jury put together by a viscerally corrupt Trump-hating prosecutor.

There is nothing honest about any of this.

Nothing.

Must Endure to the End

Matthew 24:9-14 ESV

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

Now, in America where I live, the persecution of Christians is less physical in nature, at present, and more spiritual and emotional and mental abuse. And it comes both in forms of deception and in personal attacks against those of us who are proclaiming the truth and who are refuting the lies of the enemy. So those who are taking God seriously and who are obeying his commands, in practice, and who are sharing the truth of the gospel with others, are the ones being attacked, while the rest of those professing faith in Jesus Christ are the ones largely being deceived, not that we can’t all be deceived.

For the situation we have here in America is largely a coordinated effort across the nation to dumb down the gospel message to make it more widely accepted by a larger percentage of people. And it is to dumb down the whole meaning of church and the purpose of the church biblically and to make the gatherings of the church more into social clubs and civic centers and friendly places for clean family entertainment where all people feel accepted as though they are part of the family of God, even if they do not believe in Jesus Christ, or even if they are not living the faith they profess.

The gospel of Jesus Christ has been reduced to praying a prayer or to making some kind of acknowledgment of faith in Christ, but few these days are teaching that we must repent of our sins, that we must forsake our sinful practices to now follow Jesus Christ in obedience to his commands under the New Covenant. And so many are believing if they make this one-time decision to “believe” in Jesus that they now have all their sins forgiven, that heaven is guaranteed them, and that nothing can take that away from them, regardless of how they lives their lives on this earth.

And there are so many false teachings out there in the Christian culture here in America via preacher’s sermons, books, movies, cartoons, music lyrics, children’s Bible stories, and social media memes, et al. And so many of these false teachings are cleverly being blended in with the lies so as to deceive the masses. And one of the big ways in which they deceive today is via “misimpressions,” which are indirect lies. And since they are very hard to prove, they easily deceive the people who are not testing what they are hearing against the truth of the Scriptures, in their context.

And since we live in a day and age where things like TikTok short videos and other short and quick messages are being popularized and widely accepted, this opens the door wide to deceive the people who want quick messages which they can quickly like or dislike, but without having to do the research to see if the messages are truth or not. And so many people are letting social media memes be their Bible for them, or they are letting “religious” movies define the character of Christ and the teachings of Scripture for them, so that many are being deceived into believing lies over truth.

So, they don’t literally have to kill anyone here in America. All they have to do is to deceive them or to discredit them via lies so that no one (or few) will listen to them, and they have accomplished the same purpose, which is the silencing of the truth and keeping the people from believing the truth and keeping them continuing in believing and following after the lies. For those whom they have been able to deceive, many of them have been given a death sentence by God because they are refusing to believe the truth and they are following after the lies, instead.

And many of those who are being deceived, and who are following after the lies, have turned against those who are living and who are believing and who are teaching the truth of the gospel. And so those who are actually sharing the “whole counsel of God,” and not this “half-truth” gospel which is permeating the American church, we are being demonized, and we are largely being rejected and cast aside, and are being regarded as hyper-religious, legalistic, self-righteous, crazy, as false teachers, and/or as unloving. And so others are being trained to reject and to ignore us.

So, what is really the “Big Lie” which is deceiving the masses? Well, it comes in various forms, but the main thing about it is that it teaches salvation from sin, forgiveness of sins, and the hope of eternal life with God regardless of changed lives or altered lifestyles. They teach that all one has to do is “believe,” which is rarely defined biblically, and now heaven is guaranteed them and all their sins are forgiven and so they are now “good to go” regardless of how they live. And so many are believing they have salvation from sin while they continue living in deliberate and habitual sin.

But Jesus taught that if we are to come after him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin and to self) and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our old lives of living in sin and for self, we will lose them for eternity. But if for Jesus’ sake we die with him to sin and live to him and to his righteousness, then we have eternal life with God. And Jesus said that not everyone who says to him, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING the will of God in heaven. And so many will hear him say, “I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness.”

And this Scripture in Matthew 24 says, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” So, we aren’t saved once and now we are good to go to heaven for eternity regardless of how we live. For if sin is what we practice, and if righteousness and obedience to our Lord are not what we practice, we will not inherit eternal life with God. And so we must continue in those walks of faith in holy living and in obedience to our Lord steadfast until the end if we want to have the promise of salvation from sin and eternal life with God. So, please read the following Scriptures and believe what they teach:

[Matt 7:21-23; Matt 24:9-14; Lu 9:23-26; Rom 1:18-32; Rom 2:6-8; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14,24; Rom 12:1-2; Rom 13:11; 1 Co 6:9-10,19-20; 2 Co 5:10,15,21; 1 Co 1:18; 1 Co 15:1-2; 2 Tim 1:8-9; Heb 9:28; 1 Pet 1:5; Gal 5:16-21; Gal 6:7-8; Eph 2:8-10; Eph 4:17-32; Eph 5:3-6; Col 1:21-23; Col 3:5-17; 1 Pet 2:24; Tit 2:11-14; 1 Jn 1:5-9; 1 Jn 2:3-6,24-25; 1 Jn 3:4-10; Heb 3:6,14-15; Heb 10:23-31; Heb 12:1-2; Rev 21:8,27; Rev 22:14-15]

The Garden of Eden And the Dry Land What it Looks like?

The Garden of Eden and the Dry Land.

1.What it looks like?

A. In the beginning. Gen 1:1-31 The void, the darkness, the waters, the light, and the Spirit of God.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
" In this verse it stated God created the heaven and the earth. And not stated God created heaven and earth. ( heaven and earth refers to the sky and the land. ) " on the creation of heaven and earth human time was not yet dated, because human was not yet created. The Heaven and the Earth is still void ( no form yet.). No form yet on that time or empty. No creatures or living things in The Heaven and in The Earth., No Oceans or waters in The Heaven and in The Earth., No angels and demons yet. But there is darkness in the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved upon the waters. ( see in: Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. ) The Northern hemisphere is The Heaven, then there is The Earth and, there is Darkness upon the face of the deep ( the deep refers to the bottum surface or Southern hemisphere. ), and then there is waters where the spirit of God moved upon ( on that time only the spirit of God is moving and it's moving upon the waters ( waters refers to the body of waters like the oceansea. ) No Garden of Eden yet on that time.( the garden of Eden refers to the paradise of God.), No Light was there on that time to " tell what is the day and what is the night. ", and then
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
After God spoken " Let there be light " it reaches the darkness so God devided the light from the darkness. and then the evolution of time began at Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

A6. On the six day " God created man in thier image, after thier likeness. " ( is this different creature called Son of God? )
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Note: In whole chapter 1 of Genesis the Garden of Eden does not mentioned.

B. The seventh day God rest.

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

C. God created man and woman from dust of the ground. ( is this the second creation of God? )

Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

D. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden. ( Gen 2:8 )
Gen 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. ( KJV )

Where the garden of eden came from why it has a name already in that time?

Proposed Changes the SDA doctrine in order to make more accurate and based on the Bible And not EGW

Below is a list of the proposed Changes in doctrine of the SDA Church by The SEA movement.

1. Christ ruling in Jerusalem for 1000 years. Isa 66:23, Rev 15:4, Ps 86:9, Rev 20:4,6
2. The sabbath as a sign and prediction of the 1000 years regin. Isa 66:23, Heb 4:9-11
3. Sunday, as mark of the beast, for trying to set up the kingdom of God on earth and not waiting for Jesus to come and rule from Jerusalem for 1000 years.
4. 666 pointing to Solomon , A type of Christ and Anti-Christ, making a compermise with the world. 1 Kings 10:4, 2 Chron 9:13.
5. The pre-fall nature of Christ. To be fair most of Mainline SDA Church believes this. it is only those that support EGW that believe Jesus had a post fall nature.
6. Soul Sleep - there is a Body, Soul & Spirit and upon death, the Spirit return to God, the Body return to the dust and the Soul goes to Sheol, the Chamber of Darkness and is a sleep. This is in the O.T. After Christ come a Modification take places. if a person accepts Christ, then the Soul & Spirit will go to heaven for the believer, and the body to the grave. the soul and spirit are reunited with the body at the Advent, when the saints are taken to the marriage supper of the lamb (1Thess. 4:13,14). For the Unbeliever it is the same as the OT.
7. The Advent happens before the tribulation, where the faithful saints are taken out of this world to the Marriage supper of the Lamb and return at the beginning of the 1000 years.

8. The unfaithful saints must go through the tribulation and are part of the 144000 & The Great multitude that no man can number. Rev 7:4, Rev 14:1,3, Ezra 2:13, Rev 13:18, 1Kings 10:14, 2Chron 9:13
9. changes to the view of the Sabbath to Sunday.
1. Sabbath was kept changed for over 300 years until the time of Constintine, then due to politics , the Holiness of the Day was transferred to the first day of the Week or the Lords's day. it was now a sign of loyality to the State. Sabbath was eventually banned due to defection during a time of persecution. It became "anathama" to observe sabbath.
2. The Lord's Day - was established by the Apostles. it was based on the Resurrection, the post ressurecction of Jesus and Jesus Fulfilling the Festivals: Palm Sunday(Lamb selection Sunday) Resurrection Sunday(First Fruits) & Holy Spirit Sunday (Pentacost). All on the first day of the week. It was an ADDITION to the Sabbath observance not a Replacement. It was Observed as a Festival, NOT a Sabbath, NOT a day of no work, until the time of Constantine. Due to politics, Sylverter I the bishop of Rome transfered the Holiness of Sabbath to the Lord's day. Eventually due to politics the Lord's day usurped the Sabbath and then replaced it.

Insurmountable frustration with the systems in place

Had nothing but problems with medications for 6 years. Now that I am trying to get off the medication it's even harder then taking them was. Why does it work like this? Why does it seem to me that all psychiatry turned out to be is a means to control, disable and eliminate people?

What does the term "rapture" means to you - other than the dictionary definition of "upcatching"?

Despite my acute awareness of how dividing and sensitive this topic is in the Christian community, I have to ask since the Holy Spirit has put this on my mind and I just couldn't shake it off. You guys, like me, probably have heard the "rapture of the church" a million times that you've grown numb to it, there're these hollywood movies about it, there're heated debates about the timing and validity of it, but this term is still a puzzling to me, no one has ever given a clear definition. When I asked, they immediately hid behind the shield of a dictionary which reads "upcatching" or "snatch" without any furthur detail. If I inquire for furthur detail, they just stonewall me with more lectures on ancient Greek lexicon, which was really frustrating!

Ironically, by pure luck I accidentally read an article on this topic from Jerusalem Post, which correctly states that "rapture" is a christian doctrine about MASS RESURRECTION at the end times. That was such an epiphany to me. The doctrine of "rapture" is mainly developed from two portions of the Scripture from 1 Thess. and 1. Cor.:

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thess. 4:16-17)

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor. 15:51-52)

If you carefully examine the CONTEXT, you'll see that both so called "proof texts" are plainly and directly talking about resurrection. That not only fits into the grand narrative of the bible, but also OT prophecy in Dan. 12:2 and Ez. 37:5. It was called a "mystery" because although the concept of resurrection was recorded in the prophecies, but not in the Torah, the first five books of the bible. Since the resurrection of Christ, it's no longer a mystery, the same power that raised Christ from the dead will also raise us from the dead.

And then there comes the sad and harsh reality - in order to be resurrected, we will die first, like all generations before us, like the Lord himself who "lived, died, and came alive forevermore." (Rev. 1:18) That's not what you get fed up with from the pulpit, is it. The John Nelson Darby version is usually a pain free cop-out, which comes either in form of anti-gravity ascension like Christ on the Mount of Olives, or a "puff" teleportation into heaven like the Left Behind movies. That's wild fantasy for itchy ears, not sound biblical teaching. There's no guarantee for us to be among those "who are still alive and left" in the bible. In fact, we as the end time generation are more likely to perish in the four horsemen judgements and end up crying for justice in the fifth seal:

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. (Rev. 6:9-11)

Therefore, in conclusion, like many other theological concepts, the concept of "rapture" is biblical, the church doctrine developed from it has kind of missed the mark. In other words, the MESSAGE is true, the MESSAGING is problematic.

Hello from a new member

Hello everyone,
My name is Ari and I am very thankful to be here and be a part of this. I haven't had the benefit of being in a Christian community for quite some time, just recently went to a church and now being part of this forum as I now begin to understand the importance of being in a good, healthy community.

I'm really excited to contribute and being a positive member in the forum.

I do have my struggles, truth be told I'm currently at the lowest moment of my life - but I do declare that God is good, He is ever loving and caring and is full of mercy, even when circumstances and situation may seem to dictate otherwise.

God bless,
Ari

For a long timen I do not attend church services and my disbelief in God's help has grew big over the years.

For more than 2 years I no longer attend church services, I lost my will and desire to attend. My disbelief and disappointment in God's help has grew ever more throughout these years, and it all started back in 2018. I expressed this and confessed that I do not believe in God's help, instead of getting better it's just worse, I rarely care about the poor and helpless ones, there's a God who can help them. I went to a confession a month ago, it was okay, I rarely visit a church, and if I go I just do it for a confession (although I didn't have a proper confession for more than half a year), but that's all and who knows when I'm going to do it again.

I envy the rich and it hurts me that although I'm doing my best (everything I can't) I still can't get what I want, despite praying it for years to get out of poverty, I pitty the ones that are way worse than me, because they don't deserve the situation they're in. For a long time whenever I give money to beggers, when they "God bless you" my reaction is just a fake smile, and inside me I'm "Ugh, had he wanted he would've helped me". Many times I confessed sitting in church alone that I cannot belive in the help of a God who keeps disappointing, had I been born rich I would've never begged nor prayed for help.

My friend told me that what if the devil is the one doing a lot of bad stuff in your life and not God? I said that the devil only tempts, but God is the one who operates stuff, so he is to be blamed.

Look I said, there are no longer young people in the church, for more than 15 years, just old people gathering, nobody wants to visit the church and worships God, and it's mostly because young people are disappointed or just simply do not belive in God.

It's also the reason why I'm no longer active here, I rarely have an interest to come and check here, the last thing I posted was my dream of Patriarch Pavle.

I used to believe a lot, had hope, that just vanished into thin air when I got broke years ago, and it just kept growing, had I not begged people to help me, I would've still never gotten some things in my life. The only thing I got from God was and is still silenece.

I cannot hope in a God who won't want to help, not just me or any other, for years I've stood on "until I see it I won't believe in it", until then my disappointment in God will just continue.

San Diego area drag queen 'Flamy Grant' tops the iTunes Christian charts

How a San Diego drag queen topped the iTunes Christian music charts

The iTunes Christian music charts were crowned in late July by a historic sight: A drag queen in bubblegum pink Dolly Parton-esque curls and a dressing gown spilling over with chiffon ruffles. Everything, from her heavy eyelashes to her rainbow jewelry and bright blue guitar, insisted she would not be ignored. She beamed under the large capital letters of the album title, “Bible Belt Baby,” and her drag name, Flamy Grant. Both titles insisted that Christianity and drag could — and would — be cradled together.

[The artist who performs as Flamy Grant uses 'they' pronouns.]

Drag, they said, gave them permission to believe in their own goodness.

It was ultimately through doing drag that they decided to stay in the Christian Church.

“I feel like it’s important for some people to take up space in the church when there’s no representation for the thing that you’re doing,” they said.

Flamy Grant — a play on Lovegood’s childhood Christian music hero, Amy Grant — embodied what seemed like a contradiction and gave Lovegood the boldness to declare that it didn’t have to be.

From Lindell's site:

During that prayer, God gave me a plan. It is brilliant and divinely inspired, and will immediately secure our election platforms. This plan is unique, has never been done before in world history, and has not even previously been talked about by anyone.

On August 16th and 17th I am hosting an event to unveil this plan to the nation, and you will be able to view this for free via livestream. This is broadcasting in 80 languages so everyone can hear and understand the message. Some of the key speakers are myself, Kari Lake, General Flynn, Rudi [sic] Guliani, and others.

Hello, every one

Hello Christian followers. I believed in Jesus in April this year. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and God in the flesh. I believe that Jesus is the way and the only way, and he is the only one who can give life. The problem is, other than that, I and the Christian faith don't see things the same way. I can tell you about the differences, but I rather wait until you ask about them. I'm from Aden, Yemen. We don't have working Churches, and I don't know any Christians here.

The Old Testament originally does not believe in the existence of the soul.

"
Then the LORD God formed man of
dust from the ground, and breathed into
his nostrils the breath of life; and man
became a living being.
" (Genesis, 2:7)
It is clear from the verse above that the OT does not consider the existence of the Man's soul. The man was already formed before God breathed into his nostrils. The breath is not a soul; it was what animated the Man, like the washing machine animated by electricity, or like the Frankenstein monster animated by lightning. That explains why Judaism Originally does not believe in the afterlife.

Then why do Christians insist on holding on to such a book?

Is impatience a sin?

1 Corinthians 13:
4a Love is patient, love is kind.
Patience is a virtue.

Is being impatient a sin?

The Bible does not exactly say that impatience is a sin, English Standard Version, Zechariah 11:
8 In one month I [Zechariah] destroyed the three shepherds. But I became impatient with them, and they also detested me.

But impatient feeling can cause you to act in sin, Numbers 21:
4 From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way. 5And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.”

Is impatience a sin?

By itself, impatience is a feeling. As such, it is not technically a sin. However, it can cause you to act in sin if you let it lingers.

On the positive side, when one sees suffering, he could sense an urgency, an impatience, to help immediately.

I would define impatience in two senses: feeling and action. As an avoidable physiological feeling, it is not a sin. As a deliberative action, it could be a sin. It is important to distinguish these two senses. For another example, failure to experience romantic love feeling is not a sin, but failure to love in action is.
