  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it wrong to refuse your husband when you just don’t feel like it?

I think so, 1 Corinthians 7:
1Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

A husband and his wife should yield to each other and do things for each other and not be selfish.

THEY CALL IT THE GREAT COMMISSION , REALLY ?

Many say that the GREAT COMMISSION so called , in Matt 28:19 is for all BELIEVERS ,

#1 So when is this GREAT COMMISSION TO BEGIN ? And some say it is already in operation ?

#2 Who are these people that will carry this GREAT COMMISSION forward .

#3 I wonder if any one has seen it in operation , YET ?

#4 All should TEACH / MATHETUO and what are they to TEACH , pray tell ? That Jesus is coming for them and to REPENT .

#5 And they are to teach all NATIONS / ETHNOS ,

#6 You are to BAPTIZE / BAPTIZO , in the PRESENT TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , PARTICIPLE , NOMINATIVE CASE , and PLURAL .

#7 BUT verse 16 Christ is speaking to the 11 disciples , NOT TO THE BODY OF CHRIST as the B O C has NOT yet been formed .

#8 The Greek word NATION / ETHNOS is also found in John 11:48 , and they want to be rid of Him and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and NATION / ETHNOS , so what does NATION means then ?

#9 NATION / ETHNOS can be translated b y the following words , PEOPLE , HEATHEN , NATION , GENTILES , so which one is IT ? Read John 11:48 and 51 and tell all what NATION / ETHNOS then means ?

#10 I believe that the so -called GREAT COMMISSION is to the Jews that are scattered all over the world i.

#11 And that preaching will happen BEFORE the GREAT TRIBULATION , which makes me a PRE - TRIBULATIONIST.

Congressional Oversight: Biden Influence peddling investigation

Records obtained through the Committee’s subpoenas to date reveal that the Bidens and their associates have received over $20 million in payments from foreign entities.

1) Romania: On September 28, 2015, Vice President Biden welcomed Romanian President Klaus Iohannis to the White House. Within five weeks of this meeting, a Romanian businessman involved with a high-profile corruption prosecution in Romania, Gabriel Popoviciu, began depositing a Biden associate’s bank account, which ultimately made their way into Biden family accounts. 5,000,000

2) China- CEFC: On March 1, 2017—less than two months after Vice President Joe Biden left public office—State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese company, wired $3 million to a Biden associate’s account.

4) Kazakhstan: On April 22, 2014, Kenes Rakishev, a Kazakhstani oligarch used his Singaporean entity, Novatus Holdings, to wire one of Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca entities $142,300. The very next day—April 23, 2014—the Rosemont Seneca entity transferred the exact same amount of money to a car dealership for a car for Hunter Biden.

5) Ukraine: Devon Archer joined the Burisma board of directors in spring of 2014 and was joined by Hunter Biden shortly thereafter....The total amount from Russia to the Biden family and their associates is $3.5 million.

Remember this is just the beginning.

Just a question: No accusation indented.

Someone who said they are catholic said the Pope said, "God forgives those who obey their conscience." And I think it was in relation to atheists and what was argued is that atheists can be "Saved" by following their conscience.

The person posted the image. I do not know if the Pope said this or not. I did not find this quote from an official Catholic source when I checked.

Church Leadership Issue

So I want to be very careful not to offend or upset anyone here, just know what I'm asking is how I see scripture currently. My current fellowship is considering allowing women to be in positions of authority within our fellowship, mainly as elders/pastors. I do not understand scripture that supports this. I won't post what scriptures I use to support my basis, because I don't want this to turn into a "yes they can" vs. "no they can't" debate.

What I'm asking is with this impasse, should I stay with the current fellowship and be a "good follower"?

My current position is that I'm ok with some disagreement on certain theological issues. Like there are soft rules and hard rules type deal. Example:

A soft rule is having disagreements on stuff such as the end times. Jesus isn't going to care if we are pre-trib, pre-wrath, post-trib that type of deal. We can disagree on that and that's perfectly fine.

A hard rule is like salvation by faith. You MUST have faith to be saved, this cannot be compromised.

So what does that have to do with my question? Thank you for asking! I believe when God says "this is what I look for in a leader of my people." we need to stay within whatever framework He gives us. So I view this issue as a hard rule type issue. It's not set in stone yet, but I guess I'm trying to understand if leaving the fellowship would be violating Ephesians 4:1-3, "maintaining unity in the Spirit." If I leave because of this issue, do you see that as violation church unity?

Sorry, lots of information, lots of questions, I'm pretty conflicted on this and seek the advice of other godly people (Proverbs 15:22)

Day of Wrath or General Wrath?

Pretribbers claim we must escape from the Coming Wrath. But which Wrath is it?

A "Day of Wrath" is coming, which appears to be a day in which the Wicked are sentenced to Eternal Destruction, ie removal from God's Paradise forever.

Rom 2.5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

But there is a more general sense of God's Wrath that presently rests upon those who are doing evil.

John 3.36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

Rom 1.18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

God's Wrath was defined under the Old Covenant as the curses that came from disobeying the Law.

Rom 4.15 because the law brings wrath.

John the Baptist saw Wrath as already approaching Israel in his day, perhaps the Roman judgment to take place in 70 AD?

Matt 3.7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

My point: When we are told by Pretribbers that Christians must not face the time of Antichrist's Reign, they define that Reign as a time of "God's Wrath." But Antichristian Tribulation is not the same as God's Wrath. God's Wrath is defined as the consequences of disobeying God, and those martyred by the Beast are called "heroes," and not victims of God's Punishment!

The Day of God's Wrath is the day when Christ returns to sentence the wicked to Eternal Destruction.

Rom 11.18 The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

2 Thes 1.6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might 10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed.

There is no question that at times, a particular episode of Wrath is poured out on unbelievers when believers are in the path of this destruction. God does not wish them to be victims of "friendly fire." So at times God has warned believers to avoid this Wrath, such as during the 70 AD desturction of Jerusalem, as well as the "hour of trial" the Philadelphian Church was spared from.

But there are other times when the righteous perish with the wicked, not out of God's Wrath directed at the righteous, but only because He sometimes allows there to be innocent victims, casualties of war or natural disaster, ie collateral damage. We cannot think that Christians can escape an entire period of time when God's Wrath is beginning to be poured out on the Kingdom of Antichrist. Believers were delivered from God's Eternal Wrath on the day they were saved by the blood of Christ.

Women will be saved THROUGH CHILDBEARING

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:
14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through [διὰ] fire.
The Greek preposition is διὰ. He will be saved through fire and not by fire. Fire does not save anyone. Fire tests men's works for different rewards.

Elsewhere, Paul expressed a similar idea in 1 Timothy 2:
12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through [διὰ] childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
In the above passage, Paul focused on the works of women. Women will be saved not by childbearing but through the experience of childbearing. Her works involve bringing up children.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown explained:
Ge 3:16, 'in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children'), she shall be saved." Moreover, I think it is implied indirectly that the very curse will be turned into a condition favorable to her salvation, by her faithfully performing her part in doing and suffering what God has assigned to her, namely, child-bearing and home duties, her sphere, as distinguished from public teaching, which is not hers, but man's (1Ti 2:11, 12).
What about women who do not have kids?

Women who do not want or have kids are saved like men and women who do want kids. There is no difference. 1 Timothy 2:15 is not about justification by works. It is about sanctification through works.

CIA hit with lawsuit over Hunter Laptop

CIA hit with lawsuit over letter claiming Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation

Below is from NYPost article that cannot be linked to because it shows Hunter nude holding an illegally purchased gun.

A watchdog group said Thursday it is suing to get CIA records that could shed light on the process used by the intelligence agency to “clear” a letter falsely claiming that emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian disinformation.
Judicial Watch, which filed the Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, is seeking all records and communications of the spy agency’s Prepublication Classification Review Board regarding an Oct. 19, 2020, email request made by former CIA Acting Director Mike Morell.
Morell wrote to the agency asking for the review board to “clear” a letter drafted by him and signed by 51 former intelligence community officials characterizing The Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story as having “all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

Advice? Prophetic word?

I am at a place where I am fairly sure of my my calling but I dare not accept it. That probably sounds weird to most people, it looks wierd when I read it but thats where I'm at. Over the last I don't know 7 years? I have this turmoil in my heart fighting to believe and not to believe, calling it God will and calling it only pride.

I've had multiple experiences and dreams but I always dare not accept because it could be pride lurking in my heart.

I had a dream where I had this sword made of light but I kept saying sure someone else and I put it in the ground like the sword in the stone, then someone else would come along and try to pull it out and a voice from heaven would shout "unworthy!" And I would reach my hand out and the sword would just fly back into my hand from where it was at, this happened multiple times.

I get the underlying message of the dream, but how does one come to the point where one accepts the calling God has put there as not being born of pride? How does one move past this feeling that it could be pride lying to me in my dreams?

Prayer would be greatly appreciated or if anyone is blessed with words of wisdom or of discerning of spirits or of interpretation of dreams, I don't know ow if there is a way to privately message but if so I would chat like that as well.

Thank you for your consideration.

How Long, and Now What, O Lord?

I'm really relating to Psalm 13 lately. He asks "How long, O LORD...How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day?"

I broke up with my ex on May 13th. So it's been 3 months. I miss him, even though he didn't protect me the way he should have and let us go "almost too far" physically. Even though I told him I don't like him texting other girls, and I found out later that he lets his ex girlfriend email him and it took him awhile to realize that that wasn't okay. He even wanted us to be somewhat friends after we broke up--that speaks to a lack of consideration for him, me, and our future partners. I wanted to marry him; I can't just be friends with someone whom I had such a deep level of intimacy with.

And, he already has another girl. Not sure if they're dating, but he's been bringing her to church. I can't go to another service because there is only one, and I don't want to leave my church. And I don't want to run his name into the ground with false assumptions, but I also wonder how long he'd been talking to this girl before he broke up with me.

So, how long? How long am I going to keep missing him? How long are the memories of him going to be so poignant?

And, now what? I joke that my job is making me stupid, but it is SO boring. And I haven't been spending time on hobbies or exercising, I feel like I'm stagnating. I know what I want to do: I want to get married and start a family. I want to be a stay at home mom. But I tried to date again, went on a few dates with different guys, and I keep getting disappointed. It's so hard!

So, now what do I do? I feel like I don't contribute much to society, I feel like a blob. I'm tired, I'm angry at my ex, I also miss him really bad... it's just not fair. He gets to move on, while I'm in pain and living with memories, both good memories and memories that shouldn't be there because of how we went "almost to far." (I'm definitely going to be VERY strict about my boundaries in the future.)

Paradise vs heaven

The Greek word for paradise is G3827 παράδεισος. It appears 27 times in LXX.

Brenton Septuagint Translation, Genesis 2:
8 And God planted a garden [G3827 ] eastward in Edem, and placed there the man whom he had formed.
A paradise seems to be some concept of heaven with physicality.

In the NT, G3827 appears only 3 times.

Jesus told the repentant thief on the cross in Luk 23:
43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Paul seemed to equate Paradise to 3rd heaven, in 2 Corinthians 12:
2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of it I do not know, but God knows. 3And I know that this man—whether in the body or out of it I do not know, but God knows— 4was caught up to Paradise. The things he heard were too sacred for words, things that man is not permitted to tell.

John alluded to Genesis 2 with Rev 2:
7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’
In the future, we will live in a renewed version of the Garden of Eden/paradise.

The word heaven is general and polysemantic while paradise is more specifically referring to some form of heaven that has a physical reality to it.

Conversational veritas

Chats in CF ought to be truthful; rather than telling a SDA or a Catholic what you allege they believe and teach how about asking them? Rather than telling Calvinists what they teach ask them what they teach. It will work better. At least it ought to work better, but some are willing to lie or want to stir dissent rather than have a fruitful conversation. And be careful about treating chats as if they were formal debates, they aren't.

My Gospel by Paul

Twice Paul said my Gospel in Rom2v16 and 16v25.
This is our Gospel, of Grace by Faith, that we have had for the last 2000yrs. No one has been saved by the 1st Gospel of the Kingdom, found in Matt, Mark, Luke and John, since all those years ago.
This was because it was for the Jews only, as a Gospel of works, where by they have to endure to the end to be saved.
We don’t have works, just Grace by Faith, which is the free gift of God.
Unfortunately all denominations and non denominations are man made, dating back to Emperor Constantine, who to appease the Goths, Huns and Vandals, who were attacking Rome, allowed their paganism into the Church, and all subsequent churches and religions. They all mix the 2 Gospels together, making them void.
Church is ekklesia in the Greek, meaning called out ones, so for most going along with your particular brand of Christianity, along with adherence to all the rules, and rituals, think again!
His Grace is sufficient, nothing added. Eph2v8, God’s free gift to us.
The whole bible was written for us, but only Paul’s 13 Epistles were written to us!

I will pour out my Spirit on ALL FLESH

Acts 2:
17a “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
Barnes explained:
Upon all flesh - The word "flesh" here means "persons," or "people."
The Spirit is not poured on your pets :)
The word "all" here does not mean every individual, but every class or rank of individuals.
The Spirit is not poured indiscriminately on every person in every class.
The influences were not to be confined to any one class, but were to be communicated to all kinds of persons - old men, youth, servants, etc.

God will pour out his Spirit on every sort of people.

Three Days in Hell

Some people say that Jesus was three days in hell. I believe the hell spoken of is a place within the earth similar to the belly of the whale. Well... Tried to make a good video of it this morning anyway...

1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. - Jonah 2

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. - Matthew 12

Torn Between the Two

Philippians 1:21-26 ESV

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.”

Have you been there before? Have you ever felt this way? I think the older I get the more I think this way, too. I have lived on this earth nearly 74 years now, and the Bible talks about 70 years being a lifespan, and maybe 80 years. And I have had many hardships in my life, as well, though not nearly as many as some other people. And I have seen a lot of what is presently going on in our world, and much of it is not a pretty sight. And then I am witnessing the spiritual downfall of much of the church and all the deception and how so many “Christians” are following the lies and not the truth, and it is heartbreaking. And I am tired, and I want to go home to be with Jesus.

But that is what I feel in my emotions and in my body many times, but I agree with Paul that, although dying and going to be with Jesus would be far better than living in this sin-sick world of ours, God put me here on this earth for a reason, and until he is finished with me and he is ready to take me home to be with him, my desire is to continue in him and in his work in doing what he has called me to do. And my desire is to be his servant and his witness in sharing the truths of God’s word with the people of this world and in showing love, kindness, and compassion to the people of this world, for to this I have been called, and I deeply care about other people.

Now I don’t have a death wish, but I wouldn’t complain if Jesus decided to take me home at any point, for I am fighting the good fight of faith, and I am running the race God has for me to run, and I am keeping the faith, only by the grace of God and in his power and strength. And so I am looking forward to his appearing and to him taking me to be with him one day (see 2 Timothy 4:7-8). So, like Paul, I am torn between remaining on this earth and continuing in what God has called me to do, and seeing the day when Jesus comes to take me to be with him for eternity when all my pain and suffering for the sake of his gospel will be over.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. My purpose on this earth is to live for Christ and not for myself. This doesn’t mean that I don’t take care of self or that I don’t do good to me, I do, but I am not here on this earth to serve self but to serve God with my life. And my purpose here on this earth is to love others with the love of Christ and to minister to their needs. But ministering to their needs is not all this feel-good stuff that many are pushing these days in place of God and his purpose for humanity, but it includes speaking the truth in love and teaching the truth and exposing the lies so that the people will follow the truth and not the lies.

So, as long as the Lord has use of me on this earth, I know I will remain. I know that as long as God is not finished with me yet, but I am still serving his purposes, and that I am making a difference in other people’s lives, that I will remain. And that is my desire, too. And it is for the progress and joy in the faith of us all. For this is what all of us are to be doing, ministering to one another, encouraging (exhorting, urging) one another in our walks of faith and obedience to the Lord Jesus. And we are all to be spurring one another on to love and to good deeds and speaking the truth in love, one to the other, to help strengthen one another in our walks of faith.

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

House GOP demands unredacted records of Biden using pseudonym while VP

Emails previously released by the Archives and retrieved from Hunter’s abandoned laptop reveal that Joe Biden used the email address “Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov” while he was President Barack Obama’s second-in-command and that his aide John Flynn cc’d Hunter on 10 emails containing the elder Biden’s daily schedule between May 18 and June 15, 2016.

Comer’s request covers records using Biden’s other known pseudonyms — “Robin Ware” and “JRB Ware” — and makes pointed requests for certain documents, such as drafts of Biden’s December 2015 speech to Ukraine’s parliament.
With all of the shell corporations and pseudonyms it is hard to track the bribery. If not for the Hunter Biden laptop there would have been little chance to catch the Bidens.

Arizona Corrections Officer Who Shared Image Suggesting Death as 'Cure for Pedophilia' Arrested for Molesting Child

A corrections officer at the Arizona State Prison Complex Safford may soon see the prison bars from the other side after being arrested on child molestation and [smut] charges out of Georgia.

Cody Dallas Reed, 24, of Safford, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 8, regarding a charge of child molestation and a second charge of transmission of photography or video depicting nudity or sexual explicit conduct of an adult both out of Georgia, as reported by local news outlet Gila Herald.

Who was not allowed alcoholic drinks in the OT?

Numbers 6:
2 Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite, 3 he shall separate himself from wine and strong drink. He shall drink no vinegar made from wine or strong drink and shall not drink any juice of grapes or eat grapes, fresh or dried.

After the Nazirite vow period was over, it was okay for him to drink.

Leviticus 10:
8 Then the Lord said to Aaron, 9 You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
Again, it was only a temporary order.

Jeremiah 35:14
Jehonadab son of Rekab ordered his descendants not to drink wine and this command has been kept. To this day they do not drink wine, because they obey their forefather’s command.
The Rekabites did not drink wine.

Moderna’s updated COVID-19 shot shows ‘significant boost’ in antibodies against ‘Eris’ variant

Do you plan on getting an Eris booster?

  • Yes

    Votes: 3 27.3%

    Votes: 2 18.2%

Moderna’s updated COVID-19 shot, set to be deployed this fall, induced a “significant boost” of antibodies of the EG.5 omicron subvariant, nicknamed the Eris strain, according to preliminary clinical trial data from the company.

When Moderna filed for authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its updated shot earlier this year, it cited how its vaccine contained spike proteins for the XBB.1.5 omicron subvariant, which was the dominant strain in the U.S. at the time of filing.

The Eris subvariant has since grown to command a small majority of cases in the U.S., accounting for 17.3 percent of cases. Similarly descending from the XBB omicron subvariant, it is closely related to XBB.1.5, and cross-protection is likely to occur.

I included the poll question, because now that we're no longer in a place where getting it helps anyone else, I'm curious as to how many people are planning on getting this one, and how many people are planning on sitting this one out.

For people who have severe comorbidities and are likely more prone to having serious outcomes, I understand them wanting to get it.

But given that this strain, thus far, is showing to be pretty mild (like it's Omicron predecessor), with the most common symptoms being fatigue, sore throat, and headache, I don't know if there's any real motivation race out for this particular booster.

Dr. Paul Offit (who's pro-vaccine, and is a member of the CDC advisory board) had noted, during the rollout of the bivalent booster (which was shot #4 or #5 for some people), that it's time to rethink boosters, and that the data doesn't support the necessity to rush out and constantly keep chasing variants with boosters for the majority of people.

He said it becomes a pattern of diminishing returns, and that spending millions and millions of dollars in campaigns to encourage mass uptake of boosters (and billions for the booster doses themselves) for, otherwise healthy, people doesn't make sense if the only benefit of it is that the person, who was going to have a mild case anyway, can have a slightly more mild case if/when they catch it within 3 months of receiving the booster.

I took the original 2-dose protocol, and the first booster when it was offered, and have had 2 prior infections. I passed on the bivalent booster...being a person at a healthy weight, no preexisting conditions, and knowing that this new booster is only going to make it slightly less mild when I catch it and won't stop me from spreading, and given that my most recent antibody test (2 months ago) showed that I still had "moderate" antibodies to the spike, and "high" antibodies to the nucleocapsid, I think I'll be passing on this one too.
