  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Although it was long ago when being fed up with the falsely advertised loyalties of His host people that God no longer dwelled in the Temple, it still remains that entrepreneurs within the various religious institutions would have us believe that we can be in contact with God through them. Along...

Over the centuries and starting in the time of Jesus, the world of man has gone out of it's way to twist what our concept of Jesus and salvation should be. After all, who when confronted with an alternate lifestyle and system will the world and it's mentor the Adversary defend, if not itself...

The majority of people appear to take little time to recognize in others (and themselves) that which is of God. Rather, they prefer more commonly that which is of man. As a result over time they begin to blur the line between the two. Never mind the entertainers or political figures who seek...

As things that have been the backdrop to a great portion of our lives vanish and the world becomes increasingly unfamiliar and geared to a new generation, it could be seen as similar to attending one's own funeral as a part of ourselves is gone each time another piece of familiarity disappears...

Judgement is making an accusation. It was the Jewish tradition that any accuser must be the first to cast a stone at the stoning. No doubt why Jesus used it to say “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first”. So much for judgement towards others as it must first be...

Seems to me that panic people are not prepared people. That is they either have no sense of tomorrow, not thinking a step or two ahead, or they assume there is always time for last minute preparations, never thinking of the ability of others to stifle their own self assuredness. Of course that...

Think about the days of the 10 commandments. That whole era was like training a pet, let's say a pup as a familiar example. This good, that bad. The people who wrote the books and the people who read them were like the pups. They learned good/bad but did not question why. Like pups, they often...

Life is full of hints from God showing us how fragile and powerless the modern institutions of mankind truly are, for instance when they can be brought to their knees even by simple snowfall. Thank you Lord for the reminders of how unprepared we really are for reality, especially in today's...

Have you ever noticed how people are quick to pick up on outward examples of 'evil' in the world, yet fail to see that the same potential for those deeds is within all of us? The same because the examples are based on the same foundation principles we all live by, the principles of 'self'...

Where there is self will/interest, there is a human seeking a way around the ideals presented by Jesus by way of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Ephesians 6: 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand...

There is, and always has been, a large part of the population that doesn't realize who they really are, just simply assuming that 'they are'. The human animal seems to have an edge over all the others of creation, but then again that could just be our self awareness talking, trying to convince...

Exactly what is the Gospel of the Kingdom all about? We either follow the traditional governance of mankind which is fuelled by self interest OR, we choose to reject that wide path and follow the governance (Kingdom) of the Father which is loving all as self and focusing on the well being of...

We so often hear of a gospel of salvation. A different gospel than the Gospel of the Kingdom? That would explain why a religion called Christianity was formed where within denominations could focus on their own brand of salvation rather than putting the will of God before our own, thus loving...

It seems to me in surveying Christianity as a whole, let alone the rest of the world, that the majority of people prefer theological beliefs that suit their personal worldly outlook or situation. This, rather than adapting themselves to fit into the teachings of Jesus. Consider a nation that...

'Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven'. Jesus set the example and taught us (Gospel of the Kingdom) that the governance of the Father, not the governance of man, was what we were to follow, to consign ourselves to. Accept only the truth from the Father, not from man. The whole Bible...

Jesus died because of our sins. This was a given. His only gospel was the Gospel of the Kingdom. It's message ran contrary to the traditional ways of man. Everything that human power, leadership and control is based upon according to our standards, runs opposite to the ways of the Kingdom...

Love is giving. Man is all about take. Man wants something in return for something given. God is not a capitalist. The Father and Jesus set the example. We are asked to give freely to others in need. In the case of forgiveness, which is one of the most important things we are expected to give...

People are often confused about the Kingdom and how they may show they are grain and not tares. Christianity offers a myriad of suggests but as Jesus said, the truth does not come from man but from the Father. The religion hands out doctrines like candy designed to keep the incorporated...

Christmas. The season of good will, peace on earth and other dreams. A time of decorations and celebration and giving. Oh how we like to give and get those presents. We've built an entire custom out of giving and receiving in the form of Santa Claus and using commercialism to create the spirit...

It is very easy to get sucked into the adversarial games of man. Those of the Kingdom work within the system by standing outside of it, if that makes sense. We cannot make things better by acting in the same way as our oppressors or by fighting fire with fire. Jesus' two commandments make that...
