If someone presented you with photos or any other evidence, would you believe it was real, or would you try and explain it away with a naturalistic explanation?

I would listen to what the man said - of the event, but also what he made of the event, and then make a determination from that as to whether he was telling the truth, or to hold on tighter to my wallet.

If they KNOW that you are aware of them, then there is no point in them hiding. Some of us also have gifts that make us aware that they are around. I do my level best to have nothing to do with them. They are very dangerous and altogether disgusting. For the priests, challenging demons is often their calling. That's what exorcists do.

When I was 22 I was in my girlfriend's bed one night with the lights off and had a vision of a cartoon type red devil dancing on the bedpost. God then warned me I was living in sin. I continued to study my Bible. I wanted to be with Cathy, but did not want to fornicate. I proposed marriage to her. She told me no, because she did not love me enough. I told her I did not want to live in sin and left. I had only been visiting her on the weekends. I continued in celibacy. I think demons are allegory. In Jesus' day many disorders were described as demons. A person mute was described as possessed by a demon that prevented speech.

Luke 11:14 He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. It happened, when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.

You may not believe there are evil powers in the world, but one healed will not forget God's goodness.

That said, there is no universally accepted scientific cause for evil, and yet there can be no rational denying that it exists.

The definition of evil is highly subjective as well. For some ; people blowing up women and children 10000 miles from their home are evil for others they are patriots or holy warriors.

The corporations and governments that supply your friendly neighborhood militia that kills your parents and takes your sister for sex slave. Evil from your point of view but for others just business as usual.

Where did you get this (mis)information? Where in the Holy Bible does it say that fallen angels / demons have been "extinguished"?

Perhaps post White Throne Judgment (the end of all matters of God), they will be destroyed. Perhaps they will indeed be tormented day and night forever (as it is thus written). Even so, we are not there in that "yet future" period.

One thing you do need to understand is that Satan does his best work when people don't believe he exists.

How did they Bible portray devils or demons? Did people see appearances of demons? No, most often the accounts were of demonic beings who possessed human beings to accomplish their evil and damage. There are so many examples of evil in our recent history and world today which demonstrate demonic beings are actively at work through human vessels. The kind of evil that motivates some monster to rape a child, to kidnap a young girl and hold her in a closet until he get tired of torturing her then murders her in some horrible way, the kind of evil that causes a demented monster like Jim Jones to lead his pitiful followers into mass suicide, the evil where one straps a bomb on their body destroying him/herself and as many as they can destroy in the process, or the evil of one responsible for the murder of six million Jews and untold millions of deaths on the battlefields when the world came together to destroy his Nazi war machine.

The couple that hold our cell group at their house are very strong Christians. I have known them and fellowshiped with them for more than a decade.

The husband knows the bible as well as any pastor. His wife has the gift of discernment. and can sense evil beings.

They look after children, and young adults that suffer from things like autism and Aspergers, to the level that they need constant care and cannot function in society. Through their work with these children they met a young woman who had been raised in a family that was heavily into the occult. Even years after this young women needed their services, for whatever reason it was that they had dealings with her life... this young lady would come to their house, every Halloween for one and one reason only.... it was safe from demonic activity.

This lady that has this gift of discernment was traveling in the west part of North America, with her sister. they were in their early twenties. It was stormy and the road became treacherous. They slid down an embankment and were unable to get back onto the road. It was late and before the time of cell phones. A truck stopped to help. The driver of the truck was a female, who offered to drive them to her place where they could stay until morning. Then they could get a tow truck and be on their way.

The house had a lot of occult paraphernalia and decorations. The woman's boyfriend was normal enough but the two young ladies asked to stay in one room together. Before turning in they had a bit of a snack and were casually chatting to these two strangers....

The conversation moved to religion and the girls mentioned that they were Christian. In the next few minutes the faces of these two generous people changed to different people and their voices changed as well. It was apparent that this was not a house of Godly people. Many things happened in those next 30 minutes. Smells, changing temperature, changing faces and voices and the two young ladies were praying feverishly for power and strength to escape this situation.

The two made a break for it and ran back to the road, walking back to their disabled vehicle, which was not that far.

It was a nightmare. The two prayed all night. A tow truck came in the morning as a passing vehicle had called and asked the company to check out a vehicle in the ditch.

You are referring to Spiritual entities that take over the mind if you
leave a void for them. Making money or fame or survival over others
are three examples of allowing demons to run your life. Giving control
of your life to drugs or alcohol is even correctly identified by people
as the demon in their life.

Yes. Now if you were to ask me if I had seen demons personally (since that appears to be the direction this line of questioning is going in), I would have to say no. But this begs the question: Did the apostle Paul or Jesus have to see demons to know they were there and cast them out? (Acts 16:17-18, Mark 5:1-17). These passages suggest it is not necessary to see demons to nevertheless know they are there.

Since this incident, this lady can see witches and people of Satanic following.
Walking down the street she could see another woman walking toward her. It was obvious to my friend that this woman was evil. She could see it and sense it. This lady was not doing anything out of the ordinary but my friend saw it. The woman saw her too and it was like she knew that she knew... The lady gave a nasty look and walked to the other side of the street.

One time they were helping a Christian speaker at an event. They introduced this person and he came up on stage. My friend noticed, in the front row, people who radiated evil. They were praying, but not to Christ, they were praying to block the Holy Spirit from this man's message. When she, and her husband left the stage, after introducing this man, my friend told her husband. They, in turn, started praying silently and fervently, to counter the evil people in the front row.

These people were obviously annoyed. They turned and looked right at my friend and her husband. Again, the sneering looks and the people got up and left.

So, since this event, in her younger years, she is very aware of witches and people of the occult, and or the presence of evil in a room or area.

There are other incidences that I have been told by this couple. They have no reason to boast or impress me. They are true God fearing Christians and definitely have the Holy Spirit in their lives.

I had a teacher in college who visited prisons and taught industrial arts. He was walking through a hallway with tarps on the floor and got a cold chill like he had never felt. At the end of the hall he mentioned it to a guard who said " That is not unusual. That guy painting the hall was Charles Manson."
My teacher had not even seen the mans face.

Satan was bound/judged/cast out by Christ's ministry, reversing satan's dominion over the People of God, granting power over all darkness to the saints, and immediately enabling the gospel to spread to all nations.
(John 12:31 and Matthew 12:28-29, Hebrews 2:14-15 and 1 John 3:8).

Satan, Demons, etc have no power over any authorities or kings, or planet Earth since CHRIST is the God of this world (Matt 28:18-19). Christ's dominion is progressive and ever-expanding in the Church age as Christ is reconciling all things to himself via the Church (2 Cor 5:18-20; Matthew 16:18-19). All dominion now belongs to Jesus Christ and the Church (1 Peter 3:22; Jude 1:25; 1 Tim 1:17; Daniel 7:14,27).
