  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Being in the middle of five nights in a row at the present and soon to be cramming in 36 hours of overtime into a two-week period, I can attest that that just ain't right to do that to a human being. ^_^
Amen. Sorry you have to go through that. Sounds rough.

Apparently, you spend over 90,000 hours at work in a lifetime. This just blows my mind. :O
Try working out how much of your life you'll spend asleep. It's going to be more than that.

And 90,000 isn't necessarily the case. 90,000 hours for a 40 hour work week comes to 2,250 weeks, which is 43.3 years, and that requires you to be working every single weekday of those 43.3 years. So for some people it's not going to get to 90,000 hours, although others may end up exceeding that.

Thanks for figuring out the math. Some people work beyond 40 hours and beyond 65. I wouldn't be surprised if its past that.

Tired. Depressed. Worried about certain things. I have prayed about it.

I think it's awful that we have to live in these terrible times. It's like "why us?" Why can't we have a good life like the previous generations?

Sometimes in life, you just have to give yourself permission to hit that reset button in order to feel okay again, so that's exactly what I did, and it worked... well, at least for now anyway, lol.
