Tired. Depressed. Worried about certain things. I have prayed about it.

I think it's awful that we have to live in these terrible times. It's like "why us?" Why can't we have a good life like the previous generations?

I'm on the deck and enjoying the breeze, while waiting for my hair to grow out. I thought I'd give myself an undercut, but ended up turning it into more of a fade. At least the sides are almost even.

Meanwhile, I have plenty of things keep me busy.

So proud of myself. Took at date to the Renaissance Faire today- my first date since the divorce. Felt so big but now that it’s over I feel empowered.

I've always wanted to attend one of those. It might be just the excuse I need to dress up as a Viking. Hopefully, they won't mind if I raid the food court. Of course, I'll stand in line and pay for it like everybody else. Like a proper 21st century Viking would.

Maybe there will even be a furry or two. Supposedly, they're not an uncommon site at Renaissance Faires. We Vikings used to make them stand in the bows of our longships, but they got tired of standing around doing nothing so we started making animal heads out of wood instead. You won't find that in any history book, but now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
