You know I was thinking, of all the four different crews in the lab, with seven possible people whom I could have ended up with as my counterpart at work, I am pretty blessed to have the Lab Cutie among them as the person I work with. The other six, just, well, they have each other. =P
I, Sarah's Knight, am the fortunate one. ^-^

I harbor no romantic feelings towards Mary as I once did with Erin, but still, Mary is a most pleasant person, and it can really be a blessing to have her around on the more difficult days there. At least with me.

Speaking of cuties, I hope Miss @Somber can return to us again, soon.

It appears Dr. Charles Stanley has died today. That is a pity. From the few times I listened to his sermons over the years, he seemed to be a good and well-meaning leader of the people. May he rest in peace.

I'm sad, but I know he's in a good place. I listened to his sermons and enjoyed them. He was a true servant of God.

I wonder if he had been sick or something? I had noticed that his organization In Touch had been showing older sermon videos of him.

I hope not. The grave is a sad enough fate as it is, without having to spend your last days spiraling to it under the pain of debilitating sickness. But without further research, all I have seen so far is that he was found at his home. Hopefully it had been a peaceful death.

So, I applied to a cat rescue asking if a specific cat was still available to meet. However, the application form also asked for a second choice in case the first was already adopted. According to the rescue, my first choice was under a contract to be adopted... yet he is still listed as available on their website as well as on Petfinder. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but I get the feeling that they fed me a line. That they know it will be easier to find a home for the main cat that I wanted to meet, and therefore indicated that only my second choice was available.

Going forward, I'm simply not going to list a second choice when asked. I will ask about each cat, or submit applications, individually. As I haven't even met these cats yet I think that makes sense.

Meanwhile, I submitted an application to see another cat at a different cat rescue. I'm waiting to hear back from them, as the application process involves them going over my answers and calling my local animal hospital as part of the vetting process.
