That is possible.Maybe they find it hard to relate. My siblings were Army brats, and many of my relatives have been in various armed services, but I've remained a civilian.
That sounds like what a normal person would do. It's only courteous to acknowledge at the very least. Even if you can't relate. For example if someone mentioned golf, I might say I've never played golf before. I might mention a friend or an old boss that's a die hard golfer. If I was on a date with a woman who served in the military, I'd probably mention my family members, say where they were stationed, and talk about visits to various military schools and bases
Yes, I would agree. She should also try to meet me halfway, by demonstrating an appreciation for the fact that civilian life isn't so cut and dry in terms daily routines, what to wear, chains of command, etc. It
I was only thinking of certain guys that come from wealthier backgrounds. There's many guys that will at least acknowledge it. The situation that presented itself recently was maybe a message that I had sent about living not so far from where he lived in a bigger city at an Air Force Base for 3 months. There was no acknowledgment of it and he only asked me another question. But just tonight he asked me about how long I had been in the Air Force. So I will at least get to tell him that part of my life and most likely move on to other conversation. Another guy that I had dated last year, when we dated for 7 weeks I don't think he asked one question about the military background. But when he found another girl he started liking pictures that had to do with the military that I had posted on social media. I just noticed it with a handful of guys that maybe are in more of an elite crowd. Thanks for timing in your thoughts. They are useful. It sounds like the guys you're talking with had to chart their own course. It's a different lifestyle. Your teaching experiences might be more relatable and elicit more of a response from them.
I didn't know you were fasting. Sorry that you got a headache, I have been there also. It's good that you are seeking out the Lord.Thank you. This week was my grandmother’s birthday. She’s been gone a year. There’s a lot going on. The Lord had me break my fast to stop the headache. I’m contemplating trying tomorrow with boilermaker prayer. We’ll see how I feel.
Deliverance is a wonderful thing. I go through periods of praying through things. It's interesting because I think the Lord heals layers of areas that we need to surrender at different points when we are better equipped to handle it and let go. Sometimes I look back and wonder why I even held onto something for so long.prayed a lot and the Lord had me go over some deliverance things. I
I'm so sorry to hear. I also got sunburned yesterday running for 3 hours. I ran 14.5 MI, the longest I have run in 21 years. Ended up almost passing out at the end when I went to get food. I started blocking out and had to sit down on the grass for a second and then found some shade to regain my site. I'm thinking that was heat exhaustion. That's the second time that I've had that this year after a long run.I cannot believe that I actually got sunburned today.
