I just got called into work. It's a 12-hour shift, it starts in 5 hours, and worse yet it now means I have to do four days in a row instead of three, also cutting my days off short.

This is the FOURTH time this particular person has called in sick in less than a year. I am having a very hard time believing it is genuine. =/

Unfortunately searching for work is always a depressing chore, Miss Angel. Even when in a good position to do so like I was last year when I searched for a new job myself, it is exhausting and frustrating. Hang in there.

I'm exhausted after today's mountain bike ride. The trail was long, had lots of roller-coastery parts, and what was described as a "small rock garden" turned out be so much more.

A little over 10 miles, which is a lot for that kind of terrain. I had a blast!

Speaking of which, I should probably stop referring to distance when talking about mtb trails. I would compare yesterday's ride to 40 miles on a road bike. Not particularly long, but long enough to feel it by the end. And even that's comparing apples to oranges. "Challenging" would be a better description.

So, this year not only did I find out that a cat was responsible for the injury of a character in the MCU and turning a serious scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier into a joke, but now I have just watched a trailer literally just called Cats, about a bunch of creepy humanoid cats singing and dancing.


Me: "I couldn't possibly dislike cats more than I do now."
