As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

What does that say for all the liberals who (with blind eye) are seen by you as paragons of virtue?

After all, Bill promised Monica he was going to marry her. Donald simply paid Stormy off.

What kind of junk do liberals think they can keep dumping into the argument when many in your own party do far worse?

This is a JOKE? Lately.. liberals are deploying an irrationality/denial tactic. Its designed to confuse and throw the one they oppose off balance. But, they only succeed to confuse. Confusion loves company it seems.

Could you please show me where exactly I claimed that "liberals" are "paragons of virtue". What "junk" was dumped into the argument? Worse than what?

Please elaborate on what was "deployed" as irrational/denial tactic? Confusion?, please explain perhaps I may help. It appears there is not too much of objective thinking in your response...just vague generalizations without substance.

This has what to do with the OP? Oh, I get it deflection...you know the trump playbook fairly well...make straw man assertions, post videos that have nothing to do with the OP, claim people said something that they never said, bring up Obama or Clinton, good job, following your deceptive leader certainly is objective thinking...

Thank you for the morning chuckle...

Do you understand the Biblical distinction between God's prescriptive/efficacious will and his Permissive will? No Answer - so, evidently you do not.

You wrote: "Are you saying it was God's perfect will for us to have Obama in office? Who made sure to have crosses covered over in places he was to speak?"

My response: Why not read exactly what I said regarding God's efficacious and permissive will...that is what I wrote and that is what I am saying. Secondly, I guess if you listen/watch fox news then that is "fake" news https://www.factcheck.org/2009/04/obama-at-georgetown/ No Answer

You wrote: What does that say for all the liberals who (with blind eye) are seen by you as paragons of virtue?

My response: Could you please show me where exactly I claimed that "liberals" are "paragons of virtue". No Answer - probably no answer because I never made that statement, so a false assertion on your part.

What "junk" was dumped into the argument? No Answer - Perhaps the "junk" is a figment of your bias imagination, or as it appears you are the one dumping junk.

    Worse than what? No Answer

Please elaborate on what was "deployed" as irrational/denial tactic? No Answer - it would seem quite clear that your inability to actually engage in this exchange turns the "deployment of irrationality and denial tactic" back onto you.

Confusion?, please explain perhaps I may help. No Answer - it seems that you are the one that is confused.

It appears there is not too much of objective thinking in your response...just vague generalizations without substance, false assertions, straw men, and an inability to defend your myopic bias perspectives.

No answer because what you ask requires hours of teaching Scripture to have another stabilized in understanding. And, only if they desire it to be known.

To ask what you did, like you have. As if its such a simple response? Shows your lack of knowledge on the subject.

Sorry.. Reminds of first year Bible college students I once knew. Not all were like that. Many knew they had much to learn.

The other problem... You never explain how your choice of terms truly correlates with a rather simple situation. Those who over complicate use a ploy to avoid the obvious. Its simple. God judges nations. God blesses nations.

Stay there and we can discuss the topic. You leaped off the road. Interesting topic. One all believers should understand. But, it made no sense to go there.

Explain it so that all who read your question can see how it applies to what was being discussed. They will then see that knowledge used to impress the uninformed is only a smoke screen to impress.... Not set free.

No I do not. Teach us what it means, sir. Now's your chance. You are no good if you can not teach what you use to show you know something.

Nothing really needs to be taught here. Are there certain things that God allows and certain things He doesn't? And are there certain things that He allows man to do even though He doesn't wish they would do it? I don't think that God wants men to commit murder but allows them to do it at times (we both know that He has the ability to prevent it and does in some instances). So it stands to reason that God has a permissive will and a determinate will.

Hey.... he's a big boy. He does not need a skirt to hide behind. He claims to know something that another does not? He better be able to teach it then. Let's see what he has to tell us and enlighten us with.

After all? The truth will make you free. You think everyone knows what he is talking about? Then why would he ask his question, and then turn it into an issue? Back off please. He needs no "blocking."

What are you afraid of? Let him answer.

Or, are we going to turn this into another distraction, so we all know no more than we did before. Satan hates knowledge of God's Word being expounded. And, now is a time when it just might be.

Please teach us, sir. Apparently... some here are uncomfortable with the thought that you may just help a few Christians here who could benefit from what you have learned to understand.

There's no reason to get into huge debates over something like this. After all, we're all supposed to be of the same ilk. Just trying to help two good saints here so that we can move on to bigger and better things. Be blessed.

The drip, drip, drip of unwarranted sarcasm. Did you bother to look it up? Is it to much of a task to search the scriptures instead of making a claim that God ordains leaders by his perfect will?

I doubt that many are "uncomfortable", though I suppose I can think of one. If you want to learn about the will of God do some study, here are some verses that may help you get started by considering them:

II Chronicles 32:31 - "...God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart."

Psalm 81:12,13 - “So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways,..."

Acts 14:16 - "In the past he let all nations go their own way."

Romans 1:24 - "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

Romans 1:28 - "Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

Compare Genesis 2:24 to Deuteronomy 21:15-, Deuteronomy 24:1-,

    1 Samuel 8:19-22

A rather arrogant challenge on your part, which is totally unnecessary... take a breath. It isn't a "smoke screen" it is founded in basic theology.

I notice that you did not show me where I stated the various things that you claim that I did, or answer any other questions...rather you focused on one item in a vain attempt to cast hubris where none existed? We all make mistakes, and I try not to make claims that I can't support nor make reference to things such as "
.. Jesus put Donald Trump in office!!!!! when in fact it is a simple misunderstanding of Scripture and God's will.

The information on God's will is readily available to anyone interested, and I learned much through courses in systematic theology, hardly in any way makes me a Theologian. I've had enough gaffs on my own that I took Proverbs 17:28 seriously, that is until such time as I had done some homework on the things I would discuss.

It seems you won't be addressing the various unfounded remarks that you made...which is fine. Attacking the person as you seem wont to do serves no purpose in any discussion, though perhaps at times and under certain circumstance may be warranted. Overall any point of contention should simply be responded to with substance as opposed to vague generalizations, straw men, and/or "what about".

You have to be kidding me to say that. We have all been saved by faith in Christ. Then the "same ilk" is no longer there to be found.

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
    “‘a man against his father,
    a daughter against her mother,
    a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

That is why we have believers who wish Hillary was elected! ;)

Basic theology... Like in? "Everyone knows."

So? Would that not be an arrogant assumption (even condescending) remark on the part of the one asking another such a question?

So... How does your foot taste?

[IMG] So, it was I being arrogant in my response to an arrogant question!?

Lots of truth.A gigantic amount! of truth, needs to be learned and digested before we die. Lot's!

How many are willing to learn and keep growing beyond what they could dream or imagine? Very few. And, rest assured. The very few? They will always be seen as being the arrogant to those who are.

    Now... where were we?

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate
and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they
may have life, and have it to the full.

Few believers will remain in the grace that leads to the "life in fullness" Right now, in our given generation, many believers will be searching "broad and wide." Yet, in a narrow minded way with folded arms as they do.

The test for humility starts on the day(s) we find out that what we were so sure of... was dead wrong. That we were beyond stupid.. having been ignorant and stubborn... ...even self confident...

And must face the reality that we could never know what we were shown unless someone God chose shows it to us. Many will avoid it. Ironically, self confidence is not always secure. Its just sure that what it believes has to be right even while their ship they designed remains sinking lower each day.

Not everyone will have ears to hear. I know. I don't have ears to hear. I know nothing as I should.

    C'est la vie.

An awful lot of words to say so little. Still won't respond to the false assertions you've made … understandable. Did you read the verses, compare the ones listed, look up God's will....no much more fun to bloviate incoherently, isn't it.

That only reveals your comprehension skills, perhaps?

Sorry... this is only turning into a food fight. Resentment builds walls. Humility leaps over them.

My comprehension skills are fine and am able to answer questions and info posed to me. But not a problem...I understood at a certain point you wouldn't be able to respond to your assertions that I questioned, we've all made false assertions and misstatements before.
