I am quite happy that the left in general in America, including the MSM of course, are walking themselves into a position against Russia that they will find it difficult to walk back from.
The moral equivalence argument vis-à-vis Russia and America was old long before Trump took it up. Russia is not a force for good in this world, and has not been for a long time. Even if the Cold War is over, Russia only plays the part of disrupting the order of the world, even when they have nothing to replace the existing order with.
In a world where increasing numbers of millennials even express admiration for Stalin, it is good that the MSM be put in a position to recognize that Putin's Russia is cut from the same cloth as its totalitarian predecessor, the USSR. It is still the bad guy in its oppressive wars against the countries on its fringes, and not America.
Russia is not to be trusted.
By taking a stance against Trumps moral equivalence argument, they are taking a stance against the left's apologetics on Russian and Soviet history for generations now.

And not only did God allow Samson to be blinded but took his power away from him and eventually he lost his life. His pride and disobedience to God resulted in death. General Patton was a great general so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I believe he wanted to go into Russia but we didn't allow him.
