You don't know if memory is flawed.
We know that memory, in general, is unreliable. There's plenty of well-controlled experimental data to support this. People unwittingly embellish, exaggerate, and merge memories; they can even be made to create personal memories that never happened. Every time you recall a memory it is reconstructed from fragments, and the way you reconstruct it can change it. Even so-called 'flashbulb' or 'snapshot' memories, vivid images of some experience, can change with recall.

That's not to say that all memories are completely unreliable, they normally contain the general gist or personal meaning of some event, but the details are not reliable - unless they are particularly memorable for some reason.

So you claim that the thousands who say that New Zealand is to the northeast of Australia should convince me? How about the hundreds of millions who say it's always been to the SOUTH east? Why are you asking me to ignore them?

Don't ask me to accept an argument from popularity when the vast majority of people claim you are wrong.

Even more important a shift on the North/South axis would resukt in a major change in the climate of New Zealand. If North of Oz then no glaciers on South Island, Mount Cook being snow capped would be a rarity. All the coal burning heaters in homes and businesses would not have existed.

Oh and the tourist flights going over the South Pole would generally have been from Oz, not New Zealand.

Do any Kiwis have such memories on New Zealand? I doubt it.

This timeline is the same as it ever was.

I shifted here from elsewhere.

I remember the previous location, that's all.

So were you ever in New Zealand? Do you have memories of how it was? Or do you just remember some map?

I was there. I have real meomries of what it was like. Also real memories of what Austrailia and Fiji are like. Were you in a world where Kiwis would travel to Australia if they wanted to go skiing instead of the other way round? Or do you just have an isolated memory of a map?

A photographic memory. Of Google Earth.

New Zealand… NE of Australia.

A week later… SE of Australia.
