I do believe that Jesus is coming back.

Great and terrible day was in 70AD.

I think 99% of Revelations has come and gone.

There were 1000's of witnesses and many detailed accounts, no mention of seeing Jesus on the clouds.

Christianity is the fastest growing belief in the world today, therefore the falling away ( the rebellion) hasn't happened yet. However, when it does most of those you refer to will soon give up professing their faith in Christ. For this cause God shall send them a strong delusion that they believed a lie and received not a love for the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I believe there is a christianity today that does not include Christ. It is led by men who preach what the people want/expect to hear. On Fathers Day , the sermon will be about Fathers, Memorial Day it will be about Veterans , Mothers Day about Mothers, Thanksgiving Day will be about thanksgiving although the spirit of truth might wish to say " Repent" ...funny how the same theme is preached at most churches during "holidays" ....many churches this week will have "super bowl" Sunday and have a service and afterwards a "fellowship meal " and watch the "big game" ....So this is what the Holy Spirit is putting on people's heart ? This is the message the people need in order to prepare themselves to give an account on that day ? This is redeeming the time ? So this is how our brothers Peter , Paul and the others apostles would be spending their time were they "dropped " into our days ? No , the deception is not going to come from a muslim..it will come from a "christian" but a false one(s). The supposed "body" of Christ" will be running after the world and the things of the world , storing up treasures in REBELLION to the words of Christ Jesus our Lord. The christian women will be in rebellion to learning to be keepers at home because they will have a mortgage and a career to think about and their husbands won't mind because it means more $ and a larger flat screen TV . Christians will hop in and out of marriage to the same degree as non christians turning the grace of God in to licentiousness. Unlike Jesus who made himself of no reputation , this generation of Christians will teach their children to make something of their selves. Churches will not bear one another's burdens because we won't even truly know one another ...it will be facilitated by great wealth ...despite the fact that you can serve God and money as you will despise one and hold to the other. I wonder when that rebellion will happen ?

What you are talking about is the weak 'under belly' of church that will be the first to fall away when they see Jesus appear but who then supports the Muslims. Most christian's, about 90+%, only believe in Jesus for Cultural reasons, they don't have a belief that Jesus is real. It is this 90+% who are currently of use to the church but after the deception they will have nothing to do with it. Then the Muslim Mahdi (Anti-Christ) will take over the world and begin issuing the mark. This is inline with Biblical and Quranic prophesy. This is how the end times are going to play out.

" I think the truth would empty most churches because of our love for "stuff" and money ...it is what keeps the "church" afloat ...it is a bit of a system and is facilitated by covetousness . Yes it does indeed and that description in 2 Tim 3 will only get worse. However Paul also describes other aspects of the end times from prophesy, such a 2 Thes 2 that Paul interprets from Daniel; Which is about the Anti-Christ who will opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and will sit in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

I worked with a living person who looked a lot like pictures of our Lord, but somehow nobody believed that he was. And Muslims see the Lord as simply a prophet, a fore-runner to Mahound. They wouldn't worship Him.

I think it's important to keep an open mind about what could happen. The Bible doesn't specify what the delusion will be in the end times. We'll be better prepared if we consider all possibilities.
