CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm in a really dark place again. The ability to make money and pay bills is falling through the floor. (I don't make money at all in the summer, which makes this scarier.) I've been praying to St Kseniya, but feel that all prayer is useless. I'm supposed to support my family and in-laws, and am rapidly losing the ability to do that. My wife is working and now complains about how much of our load she now has to take on herself. I can't see any light.

Lord have mercy.
I hate to bother you fine people, but I got a letter in the mail yesterday from my HMO informing me that a medicine I've been taking under doctor's supervision for maybe a year causes cancer, so I need to stop taking it and see a doctor about getting a non-carcinogenic replacement.
Obviously I stopped immediately and booked the earliest possible appointment to see the doctor, but until tomorrow morning at 7:30 am and possibly afterwards, I'm sweating bullets. Not to tell a sob story, but my mother passed from cancer about 25 years ago, and my father more recently (about 3 years ago) was diagnosed with cancer as well. Thanks be to God he is still with us. Point is, it's definitely in the family, so I can't brush my worries off so easily.
Please pray for me, that I will accept whatever comes out of this situation. Thank you.
