CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have a horrible and huge fire in Northwest Oklahoma that is growing by the day. It's burned an area about the size of New York City since it started. We have been very fortunate in losses: 2 people killed, unknown numbers of livestock and wild animals killed, and unknown number of houses and businesses burned. I'll narrow things down for your prayers and say that most of the fire is in Dewey County - about 90 miles NW of where my wife and I live. Please make this a matter of prayer.

I agree in prayer, Bro. Tom, that the firefighters will be able to get the wildfires under control and put out soon. Praying for people's safety and that there will be no more injuries or fatalities. Praying concerning people's properties and no other damages. Praying for you and your wife's protection and the property where you live there in OK.

I think that we might have gotten an answer to our prayers for the wildfires. There is a heavy rain right now directly over the fires. Further, there's more rain in the forecast for tomorrow and tomorrow night. It's possible that God will put the fires out. Thank you Lord.

The area of the two fires got about 3/4 inch of rain, and it helped tremendously, but the fires are still going. Lots of people sincerely appreciate the prayers. The intensity of the fires are less, so the firefighters are more easily able to make progress. We're now to the point that fund raising is necessary to replace ruined equipment (i.e. melted fire hoses). Many people are trying to help in numerous ways. We have more rain forecast over the next couple of days. It just might rain enough to let the firefighters win a few rounds. We want to hear that the fires are out, not just a percentage of control.

Thank you, Bro. Tom, for the update about the wildfires. Thank God for the answered prayer and the heavy rains over the areas of the wildfires. It is good news that the firefighters are making progress in getting the fires put out, and that there is more rain in the weather forecast. Praying all the fires will be out soon.

Praying for more rain, Tom, and for the firefighters and those affected by the fires. Praise God that it is a bit easier for the firefighters after the rain and also that people are helping, but praying for the fires to be extinguished soon, and for the people and livelihoods affected by them.

Hey all - in need of prayer for myself.
Monday I saw my doctor and had urine test.
Tuesday they called back to tell me I am being
referred to a kidney specialist as soon as possible.
Hubby and I have been doing lots of research online.
We do not know anything more until I see specialist.
Trying to stay positive - just want to get others to pray.
Thanks in advance for prayer. Will update when I learn more.

I too have a prayer request for a lady in my church. Her name is Diane. She has a melanoma that has spread to her lung. They are doing a new immunotherapy on her to try and kill the cancer.
