Thank you everyone for your prayers for my relative. We're not in touch much, but I'd appreciate prayers for saying/writing the right thing. I don't know how to offer hope as she's not a Christian and doesn't like me mentioning it.

I'm still cancer free according to my last scope. I don't know how many more times they will have to check, but the scopes will soon go to 6 months instead of 3 months. I feel good and think that the cancer is behind me. Thank you Lord.

I tripped over a rock on Thursday, hurt my bad knee, scratched the top of my hand and banged my forehead on the concrete. I immediately got a lump on my forehead. One of my daughters took me to E.R. I didn't have a headache so I was low priority. Eventually I was given a tetanus shot and sent home. Last night after supper, I looked in the mirror and my good eye is swollen and black. I don't know why since it had been more than 24 hours since my accident! I feel somewhat guilty asking for prayers because so many people have more serious problems. My doctor won't be in until Monday. With my eye being swollen, my vision is impaired.

Praying for you, Phoebe Ann. I'm sorry to hear about the effects of your accident, including the second black eye. I hope they both heal quickly so that you will be able to see properly soon. It must be disorientating to hardly be able to see.

Thank you a million times! The swelling is going down, so even though the eyelids and skin are coal black, it's easier to see now. My 7-yr.-old great grandson was so alarmed when he saw me today. "Grandma, what happened to your eye?" he asked. His dad is a nurse and said that he'd never seen an eye so black (the second eye just looks like I'm wearing black eye shadow on a swollen lid).
