We gave "billions" to a Ukranian family to get back on their feet?
We're giving billions to Ukraine becaues they have the equivalent of a Maui wildfire every single day. At this moment, in the past few days, there have been drone attacks raining down Hell on Kyiv.

Same for Moscow (even though the Ukrainians pinky-swore they wouldn't use our equipment inside Russia).
However, biden isn't president of Ukraine, although he'd fit in there quite well. He's "president" of the United States, and Hawaii happens to be one of those states. Priority should be for those here at home.
We can do both.

You're now in favor of government handouts?
I favor fire victims getting the assistance their president ought to recognize they need. That won't happen as long as the current occupier of the White House sees more value in photo ops than in helping.Sounds like you favor appeasement.
What amount would you find appropriate?Giving them $700 to get them back on their feet while giving billions to Ukraine at the same time didn't help either.

How about a billion? Ukraine has gotten well over a hundred of those so far. Can biden spare just ONE for Hawaii? What amount would you find appropriate?
Enough to do what? Buy a tent and sleeping bags for 4 people? Come on, man!....you have yet to establish HI victims are not getting the aid they need.
$700 was mentioned....
August 18, 2023 - noting this was 12 days ago....the inititial aid package from just one federal agency:
WASHINGTON -- Today, the Biden-Harris Administration announced that nearly 1,000 federal responders are on the ground in Hawaii to help the state recover from the devastating wildfires. In the days since President Biden declared a major disaster declaration for the state of Hawaii, FEMA has approved more than $5.6 million in assistance to nearly 2,000 households including more than $2.3 million in initial rental assistance.
....so that works out to $1,200 + 1,150 per household...which according to my calculator, is more than $700

Maybe Ukraine would be willing to give one back, you know, as a sign that they're willing to give, and not just take.
The rest of the post answered that question.Per person, per household that suffered fire damage, total?
It really didn’t.The rest of the post answered that question.
Oh, do you think Hawaii will be getting $113,000,000,000 over the next 1.5 years?Noting the Ukranian War has been going on for at 1.5 years.
If you're going to compare victoms of a natural disaster vs war victims, at least provide the same time span....
It would have if you had read it.It really didn’t.
