The first bill, HR 8, would create a national gun registry and eliminate private sales of firearms among individuals in our country. As gun owners, we all know that registration is the first step to confiscation.
It does not eliminate private sales among individuals. For you think it does please quote this section from the bill itself, see the link to the bill below.

Neither does it establish a national gun registry.
Quote from the language in the bill...

(c) Rules of interpretation.—Nothing in this Act, or any amendment made by this Act, shall be construed to—

(1) authorize the establishment, directly or indirectly, of a national firearms registry; or

(2) interfere with the authority of a State, under section 927 of title 18, United States Code, to enact a law on the same subject matter as this Act.

We are currently weeding out the domestic terrorists that have infiltrated the armed forces and are trying to ensure another attack on our center of government never happens again.

Was that a quote from Adolph Hitler, or Joseph Stalin?

The second bill is HR 1446, a bill that gives unelected bureaucrats at the FBI the ability to hold up your purchase of a firearm INDEFINITELY.
Is that what it says?

Here's the summary of this bill...

Shown Here:
Introduced in House (03/01/2021)

Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021

This bill revises background check requirements applicable to proposed firearm transfers from a federal firearms licensee (e.g., a licensed gun dealer) to an unlicensed person.

Specifically, it increases the amount of time, from 3 business days to a minimum of 10 business days, that a federal firearms licensee must wait to receive a completed background check prior to transferring a firearm to an unlicensed person. (This type of transaction is often referred to as a default proceed transaction.)

If a submitted background check remains incomplete after 10 business days, then the prospective purchaser may submit a petition for a final firearms eligibility determination. If an additional 10 days elapse without a final determination, then the federal firearms licensee may transfer the firearm to the prospective purchaser.

H.R.1446 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021

I think that this says that the wait time could be 20 days, that's it. Where do you see something different?

I see demonization of lawful gun owners as one of the "thousand paper cuts" against...

let me try to get all this straight...

evil capitalist imperialist colonialist white privileged exploitative white supremacist Nazi Fascist domestic terrorist slave-owning misogynist homophobic transphobic systematically racist bigoted culturally appropriating...

something else bad... something else worse... basically just look at a North Korean propaganda poster and you'd get the gist of the idea in a nut shell...

Meanwhile, not one letter in any of those bills serves any productive, helpful or safety affirming purpose -- persecuting lawful citizens who have no connections to the violence currently plaguing the country is non-sensical, preposterous, absurd. Statistically, you yourself have likely been more threatened by gangs than by anyone's AR-15.

Yet we demand to focus our eyes on eViL dEmOnIc 2A'ers

So, a la "Sherlock Holmes once you've eliminated the impossible whatever's left must be the truth", thus since public safety is not possibly the purpose of the bills, something else is...

It was only a few months ago my American friends were flaunting how much freedom they have compared to Canada; now it not only sounds like the US is trying to follow our Liberals, but are racing to catch catch-up and surpass us.

Hang on to your hats boys and girls.

If they are able to control guns as well as they are controlling immigration we have absolutely nothing to worry about.

No worries, many liberals like hunting and shooting as well as us conservatives.

Xavier Becerra is feared to be a Gun Grabber, and de facto gun bans are being pursued by expanding a growing list of "prohibited persons" banned from owning firearms for "mental health", "financial", and any (and all?) other reasons

Tipping Point - Xavier Becerra, Gun Grabber with Dudley Brown

The truth is that we are being denied our 1st Amendment rights because we are using them in a "reckless and dangerous manner" (disagreeing with the Woke, PC, Left, exposing lies, etc).
