Masks can help you stop the virus

A recent Washington University study concluded that 33,000 American lives could be saved over the next 3 months if 94% of the population were to wear masks outside their homes!

Apparently that is a price this President and his followers are more than willing to pay, rather than suffer the indignity of wearing masks in public!

So much for the conservative ProLife position that all human life is sacred and a gift from God!

Please tell me which part of the following information is "fraudulent" in my particular case.

=======================================

Mask Exemption:

I am exempt from ALL REGULATION mandating face mask usage in public. Wearing a face mask poses a health risk to me.

Under the ADA and HIPAA , I am NOT required to disclose my medical condition to anyone.

Department of Justice ADA Violation Information line: 800-514-0301

Organizations and businesses can be fined up to $75,000 for the first ADA violation, and $150,000 for any subsequent violation

The entire thing. It’s intended to deceive. HIPPA does not apply to customers at businesses, and the ADA only protects people with disabilities. Both agencies have said the card is fraudulent and they don’t endorse it.

I will care for my health by NOT wearing a mask that OBSTRUCTS natural God-given ability to breathe.
God made us to breathe and prosper.
By all means YOU smother with a mask if you want. No-one will stop you.
The God I worship will never ask me or anyone I care about to wear a mask on my face to stop breath of life.

god also gave you a brain to use, and ears to listen and eyes to see the deaths being caused by those spreading your nonsense. 71 THOUSAND people tested positive today multiple states are on verge of colapsing their health care...but your right god wants everyone nto to wear their masks and kill or maim everyone.

I wonder how many people who used masks and distanced and were very careful to do everything right died anyway.

well the better question is, how many would have died without the masks. People take vaccines, and do everything right and still die from the flu. It's just how many die without doing those thigns.

Based on current HIPPA, and ADA regulations, can the clerk of a store compel me to tell why I am not required to wear a mask?

The ADA only protects people with disabilities, not people with medical conditions that exempt them from wearing a mask.

As for HIPPA, it does not govern store clerks. See below, from Snopes:

“The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act was passed in 1996 with the aim of protecting private medical records. HIPAA restricts hospitals and health care providers from sharing protected information and gives patients better access to their own records. This law has little to do with customers at a grocery store.

Kathy Gips, the director of training at the New England ADA Center, told us:

HIPAA only applies to three types of covered entities: health plans, health care clearinghouses, and health care providers. It restricts their ability to share protected health information. It also gives patients access to their own medical records. It has nothing to do with customers or stores or employment or anything else.

HIPAA does not apply to individuals (in this case, store clerks) asking a customer to wear a mask. It applies to the release of medical records from health personnel.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reiterates this point on its website, explaining that HIPAA regulations apply only to “covered entities,” including health plans, health care providers, and health care clearinghouses. HHS writes:

The Privacy Rule, as well as all the Administrative Simplification rules, apply to health plans, health care clearinghouses, and to any health care provider who transmits health information in electronic form in connection with transactions for which the Secretary of HHS has adopted standards under HIPAA (the “covered entities”). “

A store clerk can’t compel you to do anything, I’m not sure why you would ask that question... But a store clerk, if you presented that card, could report you to the authorities.

So in other words if 90% of the people are wearing crappy masks that offer no better protection than a non masked person that pays attention to people with symptoms and distancing themselves better may actually and may be more safe but because it is about masking he gets fined for no mask and the guy with the crappy mask it seen as a "hero" and "caring" and "unselfish" person while the non masked person is the opposite and worthy of all sorts of shaming and punishment of sorts when in fact he is statistically better in performance and those in charge then want to bully the non masking person and shame him and so he goes and buys a crappy mask and is worse off because he "thinks" the mask is going to protect him. I just saw a commercial on tv just now that claimed outright that a mask makes YOU safe and others.... when from what I've heard a mask mainly makes the other guy safe from YOU instead.

If you and me both wear masks were both much safer, If you wear a mask and I don't, your protecting me I'm not protecting you much.

You do realize that, unless you take extreme measures to isolate yourself for the rest of your life, you're gonna get COVID. All of this is not about protecting people so they never get it. It's about slowing the spread so the medical system isn't overwhelmed. So there's more time to develop a vaccine, better treatments, etc.
No plague will come near my dwelling, so I do not accept the curse of COVID. The Spanish flu had about 1/3rd of the people get it so even in the natural most people may not get this virus. You are right though, the clock is running on COVID and already there are better treatment options and outcomes than when it started. I still think masks will protect to an extent as well. The study pretty much shows that. If the virus persists, I would hope they can produce enough N95 masks so the public can buy them.

I would believe a single study pumped out by government and the media since this virus became a big deal. There is no basis for their claims, it's mere guess work. My body, my choice.
Not really, when the government has a compelling reason, they can force you to take measures to insure safety. Many locations already have mask orders. Private businesses also have requirements too. Such as I doubt you can fly commercial without a mask. Anyway, I wish you well, in whatever you choose.

Since he quoted directly from official government sources in the video, it is obvious you did not listen to what the man said...

I did. It is easy to misquote sources.

Probably fewer than those who didn’t distance or wear masks.

I have a handicapped parking plate which is issued under provisions of the ADA. To get it I had to provide certification from my doctor. I could not just say that I’m handicapped and print it off the internet.

Free people should never put up with governmental tyranny. Michigan recently made failing to wear a mask a crime. This is nothing short of tyrannical and Christians should ignore this unbiblical and wicked law, which wasn't even passed by the Legislature. Businesses can do what they want as far as I'm concerned.

I see you insist to continue defending the lie you found on Facebook.
Here's the answer to your question:
The ADA does not provide a blanket exemption to people with disabilities from complying with legitimate safety requirements necessary for safe operations.
The public can visit ADA.gov or call the ADA Information Line at 800-514-0301 (voice) and 800-514-0383 (TTY) for more information.

The full statement linked below.

US Justice Department Statement

The Department of Justice Warns of Inaccurate Flyers and Postings Regarding the Use of Face Masks and the Americans with Disabilities Act
Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Eric Dreiband reiterated today that cards and other documents bearing the Department of Justice seal and claiming that individuals are exempt from face mask requirements are fraudulent.

Inaccurate flyers or other postings have been circulating on the web and via social media channels regarding the use of face masks and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of these notices included use of the Department of Justice seal and ADA phone number.

As the Department has stated in a previous alert, the Department did not issue and does not endorse them in any way. The public should not rely on the information contained in these postings.

The ADA does not provide a blanket exemption to people with disabilities from complying with legitimate safety requirements necessary for safe operations.
The public can visit ADA.gov or call the ADA Information Line at 800-514-0301 (voice) and 800-514-0383 (TTY) for more information.

You really think that requiring people to wear masks is tyranny? Seriously?

We abide by all sorts of government regulations none of which were passed by the legislature.

Businesses can do what they want as far as I'm concerned.

Of course they can. A business is private property.

You followed the law passed through a legislative process, which required you to do the above if you want that tag...

There are far worse tyrannical examples than requiring a mask for safety. Government takes up to 50% of your labor yet no one really votes for anyone that cuts government spending. Unlike some, I see no real government agenda in requiring masks. It is a sincere move to help with public safety, that will be instituted when risks are high. Though not in need of healing, and with no ability to do harm to others, I think that Jesus would wear a mask if the authorities required it.

Actually in my state the legislature passed a law requiring handicapped parking. The specific requirements to get a plate were established by administrative regulation.
