Yes, the cross has the final word. I'll agree with you in faith that nothing can hurt you, not even COVID. But is there any scripture we could stand on that we could be sure that we could not be a spreader by touch or aerosols?

Free people should never put up with governmental tyranny. Michigan recently made failing to wear a mask a crime. This is nothing short of tyrannical and Christians should ignore this unbiblical and wicked law, which wasn't even passed by the Legislature. Businesses can do what they want as far as I'm concerned.

Just like giving handicapped people special parking. Is that also tyrannical? Does the government have the right to fine people who park in one of these spaces without their special permit? How about cigarettes. Does the government have the right to prohibit cigarettes in restaurants? Why can they do that if they can't also regulate masks? What about trans fat? Scripture does not give government the authority to regulate any of the things you mention. Government is only given the power to enforce God's law and protect from foreign invasion. Regulating what we eat or what we wear on our face is not authority God has granted to the state. Rather governments who have taken such authority have stolen it from God and free people.

For those that see little enforcement of mask wearing where they are mandatory, here's how jurisdictions could make this happen. Have a 30% fee at the register for everyone that is not wearing a mask. 10% would go to the cashier for enforcement, the other 20% would go towards testing, free masks and hospital bills for the extra people that are infected. Admittedly, you are getting off cheap but I bet you would see mask compliance rise to above 90%. My favorite policy though to help people stay at home during higher peaks of COVID would be to raise gas taxes, something like 10.00 a gallon would do.

Just curious but where in the bible does it say governments can protect from foreign invasion?

Mask wearing to any right-thinking person = re-breathing ones own expelled carbon dioxide. In the name of "health". This is the type of thing where all you need is a small bit of SANITY and COMMON SENSE.
That has served humanity well for millenia.

I am not "peddling" anything. The word "peddle" means to "sell". Am I selling something? Who is selling anything.
If anyone is PEDDLING/SELLING here it's going to be big pharma with their vaccines etc.

This is not a "right-thinking" thing.....

That idea is an assumption and stereotyping... which is one of the biggest problems of today where people try to group everyone into two groups.

So even though second hand smoke is proven to give you cancer the government can't regulate it and if you want to smoke in an airplane it is just my tough luck? Trans fat can kill you, but we can't stop companies from feeding poison to kids at McDonald's? What is the point of having a government? They are not a magic bullet.

Even birth control pills are not 100% effective.

I remember a movie, can't recall the name or the actor.. But his wife gets pregnant while on the pill.

Well, how much control do you want from a government?

McDonald's is not killing your kids...... YOU are... by taking them there.

I never ate at McDonald's until I was out on my own at 16 driving a car and had enough responsibility to control a 2000 lb weapon of steel down the road.

The only thing that a government should be able to control.... is you doing harm to anyone else's property or person...

So, yes... smoking is harming others.. you should not be able to smoke and injure them.

Obesity and diabetes are more prevalent in children than cancer. Yet even though trans fat and high doses of sugar have been shown to cause these problems the government can't regulate them?
