Scripture for that? Paul was convinced by the Lord Jesus that there was nothing unclean of itself. Peter had the vision of unclean animals being let down from heaven and the voice from heaven saying, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat."

Gentiles who are unaware of food laws are not condemned for eating what is in their own culture. They are redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ. period.

Of course. That is what I was doing by those scriptures. Or didn't you get that?

I've heard of several problems (online exposes) about Calvary Chapel,
thank you for confirming some of them.

I think it will be best though, to let a Jewish Believer answer you questions more fully than I can. You apparently didn't read the chapter that has Peter's vision, or you would know that it had nothing to do with food.

Likewise, if you thought any Jew, saved or not, who was living righteously would EVER allow anything unclean to touch their lips, then you haven't learned much of anything about how they lived (and the righteous still continue).

The gist of all of your posts I read, albeit at this time from memory without looking back at them and verifying, did not seem at all to be confirming Scripture, nor understanding TORAH, let alone confirming TORAH.

I hold myself to a higher standard than I do others. I try to obey the food laws and also try to teach that it is good to obey them. But when it comes to saying that there is condemnation for disobeying food laws I draw the line. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1).

We are redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ, we are justified through faith in His blood (Romans 5:1, Romans 5:9, Romans 3:25).

Failing to eat according to the standard of the Old Testament does not condemn a person who is redeemed through faith in Christ.

In fact, if I'm not mistaken (and I haven't studied this out so I could be wrong), the food laws were not given to the Gentile nations but apply only to Israel.

Then you have misunderstood my posts. I seek in my teaching to be counted as great in the kingdom on that day according to what it says in Matthew 5:17-20.

I might have misunderstood some of your posts, but those I have seen in this thread show that you are not able to be a teacher yet. Hopefully if it is Yahweh's Will and Purpose for you He will Guide you to the Truth and grant you the understanding of Scripture as He Says in Scripture He can do (and will do for a few).

Proverbs 28:4 They that forsake the Torah, praise the wicked, those that keep the Torah contend with them.

Isaiah 10:20 To the Torah and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

His Word is Forever settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89

Consider this, the Torah will be taught to many in the Millennium, they will learn His Ways Isaiah 2:3

They will keep His Feasts Zechariah 14:16

Many here will not be there (The Millennium), Because they practiced Torahlessnes, Lawlessness (they said that His Torah was done away) In turn they established their own righteous standards, that has nothing to do with His Instructions on how to live - that is how so many are able excuse themselves when they celebrate pagan days, christmas and easter, saying what it was in the past doesn't matter to me, God sees my heart.

    Yes

He sees that you are stubborn and stiff-necked, because there is a way that seems right, but it ends in destruction...

I'm certain that there are plenty of Jews who go against their upbringing and order a bacon burger here or there, or eat bacon for breakfast. You know how I know? because all <edit:> unregenerated <:edit> men are sinners. And I also have heard of testimonies of Jewish people who came to Christ and testified that they did not obey the food laws as Jewish people before they came to Christ.

Also, our righteousness is not in the law or based on the law. It is that we obey the law because we are righteous, not that we are righteous because we obey the law.

My spiritual gift is not teaching but word of wisdom. And as such I have something to contribute to the body of Christ.

That is the same sound I hear from cults who say/ have said/ they are certain everyone sins and look that group over there sins also so it is okay that we sin ! (continually without repentance and without the need to repent and without the need to stop sinning)

Perhaps yes, if you at least have the willingness to be subject to Jesus and IF He draws you under His wings to nurture you, Yahweh willing. (as also Jesus said when He lamented over Jerusalem)

The law is written on the hearts and minds of New Testament believers, it governs us from the inside (Hebrews 8:10, Hebrews 10:16). It does not condemn us from the outside (Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Romans 7:6, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, Hebrews 7:18-19; and Romans 4:5-8); for we are forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Indeed, to the law and to the testimony! Amen! I have said elsewhere and will say again here, that the law testifies to us of the specifics of the love of God; and that if we are redeemed through faith in Christ, the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts.

In saying that everyone is a sinner, I mean that you are a sinner (see 1 John 1:8). But I most certainly believe that a person redeemed can come to the place of repentance and be sanctified entirely. As is evidenced by my signature.

The Scriptures through Hebrew Eyes and not Greek eyes. Zechariah 9:13

When I have bent Judah for Me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

Hebrew block Logic - The Sons of Zion vs. The Sons of Greece, those that see the Scriptures through Greek linear thinking.

The Very Dry bones coming together, being revived. Hosea 6:2 The Sons of Zion

YHWH's Appointed Times ARE (Present Tense) a shadow of things to come. Colossians 2:16-17 Hence, Let no man Judge you on what you eat or drink when you keep His Appointed Times.

And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for Seasons (Moedim), and for days, and years: Genesis 1:14

    Moedim - YHWH's Appointed Times - Seasons

LXX Greek Septuagint - Genesis 1:14 Seasons (kairos)

But of the times and the Seasons (kairos) , brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 1 Thessalonians 5:1

He appointed the moon for seasons (Moedim): the sun knoweth his going down. Psalms 104:19

It Seems that the Thessalonians had been taught about YHWH's appointed Times (Moedim/Kairos), and they knew what was meant by different Hebrew idioms.
along with knowing the Greek language helped.

He will return on one of His Appointed Times, There are Seven of them. Leviticus 23:1-2

.....These are My set Feasts/מֹועֲדָֽי Moeday (Appointments) Leviticus 23:2

Spring Time Feasts (Filled to the full in His YESHUA's first Coming, but not done away with)

    1) The Passover - Keep this Day in Remembrance of Me. Luke 22:19, 1 Corinthians 11:24-25

    2) Unleavened Bread - Therefore "Let us keep the feast" 1 Corinthians 5:8

    3) Shavuot ~ FirstFruits - Day One of the counting the Omer. Acts of the Apostles 20:7 Ἐν δὲ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων - **** In upon the first of the Sabbath. ***

    4) Shavuot - Pentecost. Acts of the Apostles 2:1

    Fall Time Feasts

    5) YOM TERUAH - Day of Shouting (Only appointed time that the day can not be set in advance)

    6) Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement/Judgement - The sheep and goat nations

    7) Sukkot - Feast of Tabernacles (Season of our Joy) YESHUA was born on day one of Sukkot, circumcised on the eighth day, literally ~ Shemini Atzeret, a separate day from Sukkot but connected to YAH's Appointed Time.

    Zechariah 14:16
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

    Isaiah 2:3
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the TORAH, and The Word of YHWH from Jerusalem.

If you were in the Thessalonian Congregation, or followed His Appointed times, you would have already known these things.

**** Acts of the Apostles 20:7 Ἐν δὲ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων - *** (The word day is not in the Greek Text.

Luke 24:1 τῇ δὲ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων " The(now) upon first of the Sabbath (The word day is not in the Greek Text.

    I'm never condescending.
Your posts indicate some zeal (HOPEFULLY anyway) but lack of knowledge of TRUTH.

I expect (or at least "hope for the best" as written in Scripture) it is as for others at that chapel (even if you are not a member there any more) that it is not on purpose you deviate from the Truth, but it is necessarily "willingly", for who you have trusted has tricked you and given you false teachings as indicated by the content of your own posts that repeat the false teachings...... it is very awkward at best because standing up for the Truth might cost you everything (again?) as it does for everyone else. (i.e. even finding out that the 'group' or 'teacher' they trusted was false and cannot help them, but can only hinder them)

    re #216:

Galatians 4:8-11, Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service to them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Galatians 1:6-9, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The latter scripture confirms that the preaching of days, months, times, and years, in the former scripture, is the preaching of a different gospel that deserves the curse of God on those who preach it.

What is zeal but lacking the knowledge of the truth is, biblically, those who, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God. They have stumbled at the stumbling stone of the law. Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to righteousness; but the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. Romans 10:3, Romans 9:30-32.
