We can trace the generations in the Bible back to Adam and Eve. Although the genealogies were destroyed with the temple in 70 AD. From Eve to Mary, from Adam to David. From David to Jesus. Of course Abraham is a part of that.
The original genealogies may have been destroyed in the temple, but I'm sure they weren't the only records in existence at the time.

I do not know the age of the earth but science does. So I go with the people who have a PhD. The evidence supports an earth that is 4.5 billion years old. Science also supports Adam and Eve living 6,000 years ago.

Most of my science comes from Experts with PhD's. Right now I am reading Gerald Schroeder. He has a PhD from MIT. That qualifies him a lot better than high school drop outs for me. I was a YEC at one time. Then I was challenged to do a bit of study and research.
Actually my Dad had something like 36 pieces of paper although a lot of them were certificates, not just degrees. My dad and both of my brothers and my grandfather were doctors. My other grandfather was mayor. So they get themselves a decent job with that piece of paper making good money. My sons have degrees in Engineering so they make pretty good money. My niece has a PhD in Chemistry and she works for NASA. Just so you know they pay more than $100,000 a year. So that piece of paper goes a long way to put money in their pocket. I just found out she plans to go to Harvard to get a masters degree in Business administration. The degree (peice of paper) cost her $60,000 but that will easily make her a millionaire. Graduates with a master’s degree from Harvard Business School (HBS), particularly those with an MBA, often achieve significant success in their careers. Many go on to hold high-ranking positions in various industries, including finance, consulting, technology, and entrepreneurship1. While a substantial number of HBS graduates do become millionaires with some becoming billionaires.

None of that has anything to do with the truth, if they're only motivation for getting the piece of paper is to make lots of money then that's no better than being a prize pig.
Well said, as you rightly pointed out, we have a choice to either believe what men say or what God has said. The choice should be simple, do we believe what the One who created all things has said or do we believe in mans ever changing unproven theories.
