The Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old, while the universe is estimated to be around 13.8 billion years old.

If this is the case, it makes one wonder, when was the Bible actually written ???

Hi
Trying to work out the age of the earth from scripture is a complete waste of time the creation account in Genesis should be applied starting with Noah and only concerns the creation of man in the image of God and that man is Jesus Christ at his second coming he is the only man in scripture who is said to be in the image of God and as such he is the end of creation.

Love and Peace

You continue to repeat saying this. So, in your view, the people mentioned in the bible as living before the Flood don't matter, perhaps shouldn't even be in the bible at all? If the creation account in Genesis started with Noah, where would that leave New Testament verses such as this:

“And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit.” (1Co 15:45 NKJV)

Hi David Thank you for your reply I did not say they did not matter I said they were destroyed in the flood the first Adam was destroyed because it was contaminated by the angles and they produced giants not what God intended.
So God began again to create man in his image which would culminated in Jesus Christ man ( mankind ) in the image of God.
A question was the first Adam and the last Adam created in the same way.

Love and Peace

As angels are spiritual beings, I don't agree that the giants were offspring of angels and women. It was the widespread wickedness which was God's reason for the Flood.

To answer your question, the Last Adam" Jesus Christ was not created at all. He is eternal. As you know, His human body came about by the Holy Spirit working in the virgin Mary.

Sounds like a variation of the "God made everything look old" thing.
No maybe it was just a natural result from the methods He used. I mean He did specifically tell us how long ago He did it and how long it took Him to do it.

The Bible says Peter sank because of his lack of faith. The word “miracles” as we understand it today doesn’t appear in the Bible in its strict theological sense. The Latin word miraculum is not found in the Vulgate New Testament and appears only a few times in the Vulgate Old Testament for various Hebrew terms that describe.

The word “miracles” and “dynamite" are related through the Greek word dynamesi (δύναμις), which means “power” or “strength.”
I don’t know what this has to do with the question. Are the laws of physics acting normal when Jesus is walking on water right in front of you?

Hi David
Thank you for your post but I'm afraid it contradicts scripture which says

Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

As for the last Adam Jesus Christ we know that Adam is created in the image not forgetting that Christ's body is a multitude of believers this is man in the image of God the last Adam.

The only man to ever be created in the image of God was Adam. Jesus created Adam in His image, but he lost that image when he fell and the rest of humanity was born baring the image of Satan.

Jesus is the Almighty Jehovah God, Creator of everything that exits. So He created His own earthly body, which He retains to this day, complete with the scars from the nails in His hand and feet and the spear in His side.

The bible does give us an approximate age of the earth and we know it's around 6000 years, there is no evidence to prove otherwise.

I do not have a bible name for this but I am inclined to think it is some sort of astor projection. This is simular to our ability for our mind to manifest itself in the physical world. When we do construction work there are things that are impossible to do and yet every building gets built and people do the impossible. Oprah and The law of attraction people talk about this. She thinks it is compatible with Christianity, others do not. She has kind of the midis touch, whatever she touches turns to gold.

Astral projection itself doesn’t violate any laws. It’s generally considered a personal, spiritual, or metaphysical practice. However, it’s important to note that astral projection is not scientifically proven and is often viewed with skepticism by the scientific community.

Peter was not able to walk on water but he was able to get out of prison. Jesus is said to walk through a locked door. At least He manifest himself. After His resurrection, Jesus ate fish to demonstrate to His disciples that He was truly alive and not just a spirit. This event is recorded in the Gospel of Luke.

The disciples do not explain this because they did not understand what was going on.

Hi Dan 1988
Thank you for your reply that Adam was created in the image of God is not in question

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.that everything is created through Jesus Christ is right,
Jesus is not God he is the son of God he lost his earthly body when he died and was raised up a spiritual being or how could he enter a locked room and appear and disappear at will a man of flesh can't do that.
The last 6000 years God has been using to create man in his Image that man is Jesus Christ at his second coming when he gathers together the multitude of believers which he will present to the Father this is man in the image of God the last Adam.
We must all be changed from physical beings to spiritual beings only spiritual beings can enter the presence of God
.

(we sometimes refer to these ways as "laws" but God doesn't),
God told me that His Justice is as perfect and precise as the universe is. We see a lot of miracles and healings. My opinion is that God is restoring things to His plan and purpose. Isaiah 46:10 says, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” Jeremiah 1 12b "I am watching[a] to see that my word is fulfilled.”

God does not violate His word. He watches over His word to accomplish His plan and purpose.

Matthew 7 22 "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

If God's justice is only as perfect as the universe, we are in trouble! Since the Fall, the universe has been far from perfect. The earth has brought forth thorns, brambles and weeds, animals have become dangerous, people more and more sinful. As Romans says:

“20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected [it] in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” (Ro 8:20-22 NKJV)

Yes God is fulfilling His plan.

Well said brother, I'm glad we agree on the main things, even if disagree on the peripherals.

I can't figure out why so any Christians turn their back on what God said and place their faith in fallen men, instead. God created science, so you would think that He deserves to be taken seriously.

Pope Francis said he believes in the theory of evolution, he believes God used Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection as a mechanism to create the natural world. He said "God is not a magician", so he's saying that God had to play by some natural laws, to enable Him to create everything.
I’m just gonna come right out and say it, if someone can’t believe in miracles then they can’t believe in the Bible it’s just that simple. A big part of the problem is that people want the Bible to say what they want it to say, instead of letting it say what it says. There’s a huge misconception about the Bible that many people believe and it’s the idea that we’re free to interpret it whichever way suits us and that idea is false because the Bible speaks truth and truth is not subjective to personal or popular opinion. It’s not about what can we make the Bible say it’s about what is the author trying to tell us and so many people get hung up on this idea that science can’t be wrong which causes them to try to change what the Bible says thru interpretation and it just never works because it always results in contradicting what is actually written.

Peter did walk on water.

Why dont you use a search engine or an AI for such factual questions?

You say the earth is billions of years old so any search engine is not going to give a true answer, if the earth is billions of years old like you say it is, wouldn't that make the book of Genesis really really old to say the least.

For some people everything is a miracle, for some people NOTHING is a miracle. We already knew which one you were. In everything we are to give thanks, praise, honor and glory onto God.

  • 1 Chronicles 29:11-13
Praises God for his greatness, power, glory, majesty, and splendor, and acknowledges that everything in heaven and earth belongs to him
  • Romans 11:36
Acknowledges that everything comes from God and exists by his power, and that all glory belongs to him
