God is against Nations?

Ever since I came back to the faith, this passage seemed to keep coming up for me.

Isaiah Chapter 34 Verse 1-17.

Can someone please tell me what this means? Is He against having countries? I'd just like to know what this passage is talking about.

It is prophetic and apocalyptic literature. If you read this and the account of John in Revelation, you will see many correlations. Isaiah 34:4 and Revelation 6:12-14, for example. It is prophecy concerning the end times and the great Tribulation. Chapter 35 goes on the prophesy concerning the millenial kingdom, Christ's reign after His second coming.

God is not against nations in general, no. Read Romans 13, it shows how we are to be in subjection to the government.
