Isn't that kind of over the top? That book is not scripture. It may be true but it has little to do with the gospel message, and it is a faith builder though not much more. You are taking this to extremes to say that it should be scripture. Sarcasm and scoffing with no justification. Shame on you Brother.
If the book is not Scripture, then we should not regard it on matters of our faith.
For faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
As for Sarcasm:
Well, sarcasm is not evil. Both Jesus and Paul use sarcasm within the Scriptures.
Also, I am not mocking people but I am mocking a false vision.
I scoff at the idea of false visions. It is not wrong to do that, and I have backed up what I said before with Scripture. So there is no shame in attacking something that is false.
You said:
Why is it, that ever since the fall in Eden...that people do not look for what is right or true, but they look for error so they can denigrate it? I mean, are you so scared of being deceived, that you would reject the truth when it comes to you?
But it is not truth. Scripture warns about following another Jesus. This sounds like another Jesus because Colton was afraid of this Jesus and angels (not Jesus) had to comfort him instead. Jesus sent another comforter (i.e. the Holy Spirit) to His disciples. So Jesus is the first comforter to his disciples. Yet, Colton's story wants us to believe that angels (and not Jesus) are the comforter instead.
Also, Scripture says this about Jesus and peace,
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Colton had seen a pink diamond on Jesus. The meaning behind this is joy, creativity, love, and romance. Romance? No doubt because "pink" is also associated with women. It is a feminine color. We also do not see this color associated with God and or Jesus in the Bible.
Colton says that everyone has wings like angels in Heaven. Yet, Scripture says that we will have the same glorified body that Jesus has.
"Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself." (Philippians 3:2).
Last I checked when reading the Scriptures, Jesus did not have wings after his resurrection.
So again, we see angels here are getting the glory and not God (i.e. Jesus).
Something doesn't seem right here at all. It makes it look like Satan is trying to be like God here. Then again, this is nothing new. God's Word talks about how the devil seeks to be like the Most High God.
You said:
Independence and pride will be the downfall of most men.
I agree. Man seeks these things outside of God's Word.
There is no gospel in Colton's vision. It is not there.
They uplift their book above God's Word and the gospel.
Why? Because of the money.
To sum up Colton's Jesus (that is not mentioned in Scripture).
"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or
if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with
him." (2 Corinthians 11:4).
