You are correct. Biblically not a spinning ball.
This is what the bible say about ball, and circle.
The Ball
[Isa 22:18 NIV] He will roll you up tightly like a ball and throw you into a large country. There you will die and there the chariots you were so proud of will become a disgrace to your master's house.
דּוּר dûwr, dure; from STRONGS H1752; a circle, ball or pile:—ball, turn, round about.
So why is this word not used in Isaiah 40:22? Is it because that’s not what the author, led by the Holy Spirit is communicating. earth is not a ball or sphere.
Definition of Circle and Sphere
- A Circle is a two-dimensional figure whereas, a Sphere is a three-dimensional object.
- Area of a Circle = π r2 and Area of a Sphere = 4 π r2
- A circle has no volume and the Volume of a Sphere =4/3π r3
- A circle has all points at the same distance from its centre along a plane, whereas in a sphere all the points are equidistant from the centre at any of the axes.
- We can only determine the area in case of a Circle, while in Sphere, we can calculate the surface area as well as volume. [1]

Another question here is, should the word circle be used by translators or should it say vault or horizon? On Strong's Hebrew: 2329. חוּג (chug) -- vault, horizon definition circle is not even mentioned.

A map is a projection to represent a curved surface on a plane.
Gleason admitted his map was a projection of the surface of a globe onto a 2D flat surface.

Why on earth (pardon the pun) would a flat earther use a globe as a reference to produce a map which is supposed to be evidence for a flat earth?
The cosmic microwave radiation background like the earth is commonly mapped using the Mollweide projection.
Being a projection it doesn't mean the earth or the universe has a flat elliptical shape.

The ISS is travelling at a constant velocity, yet your flat earth projection has it accelerating as it heads below the equator and decelerating as it heads above the equator.
When we watch it pass overhead here in Australia, it takes exactly the same amount of time to pass over as it does when viewed from North America.
Why are flat earthers not able to provide a model which works?

This has been fun and absurd but the real casualty here is the ancient narrative. It is so not about the shape of the Earth. The meaning is far more important than that. This Flat earth business is an unfortunate distraction.

Globe people say flat and stationary earth Biblical believers are crazy. Well at least we do not believe it is possible for man to block out the sun over the whole earth. One day science and government is going to go too far and their deception game will be exposed.
