Hmmm. Lots of pages with nothing relevant. Flat and round. Not a ball.

Scientifically speaking, we live on a round planet. Flat earth is a myth.I hear a lot of Christians saying that we live on a flat earth and nobody can go in or out the earth. Is the Bible clear on this subject?
Amen.Round Earth -- flat maps.
The Bible speaks of the Earth as sphere, and says the boundary between light and dark on Earth - is a circle. That only works on a round ball.
I have never been beyond the atmospheric space.... Although I have to believe that everyone who has ….if it were flat ....someone would have said something…
I have only been confronted by two people who were convinced it was flat ….My response is … “So what!....It doesn’t affect my appetite…. and Christ is still going to return.”
I absolutely do not believe it is.... but I also am not going to waste my time on something that doesn't matter to me
I don't know who he is - and he is not speaking english so I don't even know what he is sayingHere you go. An astronaut who stats the earth is flat.

Polish General and Astronaut Mirosław Hermaszewski. There was a follow-up interview with the interviewer of that segment, years later, discussing the flat earth claims made in that segment. I might be able to look for that later or you could, if you're actually curious.
Well I personally know some astronauts that admit to what we all see on tv monitors -- the Earth is round.I haven't found it yet, but I did find something similar pertaining to Cosmonaut Igor Volk mentioning that they've never been to space. What you gather from the 2nd interview with the reporter year later is that Volk was referring to them just flying around at 'orbital' levels, because the tech to go to the moon has never actually existed.

I know people at NASA responsible for orbital trajectory monitoring and management - Earth is round
Every time you use GPS you see how the geometry based math for orbiting satellites and the time frame difference between orbital speeds and that of an object on Earth - are precisely calibrated resulting in a lot of accuracy for moving objects on the highway - including telling you how fast your car is traveling and how far the next exit is on the highway.
The flat earth idea never got off the ground
if you mean it is oblate spheroid rather than perfectly spherical - I would agree with you.Cool, but it's still not a ball.

Cool, but it's still not a ball. I was responding to the poster who stated they never heard an astronaut mention the earth was flat, so that's exactly what I shared.
I'm not the least bit shocked it it being criticized. Based on what I'm reading on here, I'd be surprised if it wasn't. It can be denied from now until the end of time itself, but it is what it is.
Check Apocalypse 20:8. The Greek text in Codex Vaticanus (1209 A.D.) uses the word πλάτος (plátos) in relation to the earth, meaning flat and level as well as broad and wide. The following is excerpted from my web page (see BIBLE VERSES CONFIRMING PLANAR EARTH GEOCENTRISM):To date I have never heard a Christian refer to a flat earth. But I may be isolated. It is hard to believe the earth is flat just from observation. We fly planes around it. We have ships circling the earth. There are satellites circling the earth. Our space program has spacecraft circling the earth as well as space stations. I do not know of any scripture passage the specifically says the earth is flat. But someone may educate me there.
The only Christians I would ever have heard saying the earth is flat and not spherical, if they were Christians, were online and never in person, online communication is what seems to make communication about it possible, and get any further ones to argue for belief the earth is not spherical.
So, was it this one testimony, that the speaker explained later did not mean he saw the earth was flat, that led you to believe it is? Or was there anything before it that did? Are there evidences that you know can be pointed to, like the evidences that those saying the earth is spherical and rotating say there are experiments we can observe showing it is spherical, and rotating? You know, like Foucault's pendulum is really convincing. Demonstration of things is most convincing.
Physicists have measured gravity on the smallest scale ever
In the North, stars appear to rotate around Polaris. In the South, they appear to rotate around the South Celestial Pole. That can't possibly work on a flat earth. Models of a basically spherical Earth account for the observations, and certainly this. Models of a flat, or nearly flat, earth show Antarctica to be surrounding the flat earth with the edge of the earth behind it. Those models don't account for it nor can they account for it, and I never see any flat earth model offered by any with that position that would account for this, or other observations corresponding to what there would be with the spherical Earth.
when you understand the flat earth model.
Cool. Was there a point?
Ok. Keep your secrets then.Yes…
